Hero had to make the bike iconic instead they made it ironic.
kya baat bole bhai kirak dimag khulgaya aur hash bhi liya, mai book kiya triump 400 giving 2000rs pre payment. Jab woh call karingeh mai cancel karunga loan nahi lena aur 1.5Lk extra nahi dena.
7:50 this is the reason why Triumph survived and maintained their legacy while Harley almost went bankruptcy, selving many of their projects while Triumph was always was able to figure out what a specific market wants without diluting the brand value

Due to the paint job, fit and finish of the Triump 400 series (despite Bajaj's assertion that it is not based on KTM engines), they were never supposed to charge 2.23L, but after looking at the lucrative HD X440 pricing, they had to lower the price to remain competitive.
I personally think HD X440 is much better in many aspects, is well put together and looks balanced from all angles.
There is no cohesive styling to the Triump 400 series at the rear and the grab handles are clearly an afterthought.
There should have been a bigger tank to give it the appearance of a big bike, it looks like a 200/250cc bike.
In terms of the instrument cluster, it just doesn't suit the bike; it's outdated, it doesn't have all the connectivity options, it's not colored, and it just doesn't reflects on the bike's style. HD 440X have nailed with a small single pod led cluster.
People will have a polarising thoughts on the exhaust note but hello it is a single cylinder unit and I feel it has given its best shot.
I have already booked INT 650 Barcelona Blue due this month Now I am confused about Triumph Speed 400. Please share you opinion.

I was watching some video about this new Harley, the moment i heard 440cc and 27bhp 😂 didn't want to Waste my time any longer immediately shut the video and watched the new triumph video instead. Looks premium and familiar triumph family design language loved it❤ Enjoyable Performance more than adequate. Price sweeett💯 Really tempted to get one...

Right Vikas sir....Hero had a huge opportunity to redefine themselves with an iconic brand nd they literally got it very wrong. If we pitch it against the bajaj there's no way anyone can choose a hero davidson over a bajaj triumph now the nly thing that hero can sumwat redeem themselves is spares nd service bcoz triumphs service isnt that good in many parts of India.
I want to know where will triumph 400 and Hardey davidson 400 bikes be produce.
I want to support indian manufacturers like royal enfield.
But if I am wrong, I dont want to miss buying a beautiful bike

Hero should stick to daily commuters only. Post seperation from Honda, they did post mortem with "Karizma" series , xpulse brought some hope but this is ded-shana giri 😅
The Chinese Harley Davidson 350x looks exactly the same. Maybe Hero got instructions from HD to maintain the same looks as the other X bike sold in other markets.

Really enjoyed this video. I think HD has also missed the mark on the look of the 440 bike. The rear end is so out of proportion. It looks like a cheap chinese bike. I think people are more forgiving, if the bike looks gorgeous.
I however don't have a problem with 27 Bhp. It is a lazy cruiser and for the purpose of puttering around at 100km/h, it seems perfectly adequate.
The reason for such a bike from Harley could be their declining global sales. Harley's traditional buyer segment which mostly includes older people are dying out and the company is desperately trying to attract millennials to their brand.

Confused between the ronin & speed 400, im 6ft & hearing reviews that speed 400 is not the best for tall riders, also Ronin looks bulkier on screen which I prefer - speed 400 looks a bit like commuter bike on screen* coz its a bit thin , still waiting for the ride reviews, let's see if triumph is as good as it shows on paper !

I agree to most of the points..May be they could have launched in Bajaj owns brand name rather then Harley...should have been muscular to resemble the Harley's . Atleast shud have made a downgrade version of big harley motorcycle. 2V engine not at all accepted. With only 27hp.. Wrong Decision.

Vikas , as much as I would like to blame Hero I would also like to put more blame on Harley who passed this design.. you see as i watched on the triumph launch event, Rajiv Bajaj clearly mentioned that Bajaj as a brand had to really struggle to meet the quality demands of Triumph and after a lot of repeated nagging from triumph were they able to produce a fine quality product... Triumph always chased quality or fit and finish.. which sadly Harley never did... And that Harley guy present in the launch event looked half ass drunk... Really. How did Harley even allow themselves to pass this design that would destroy their legacy to everything they stand for

It's a TATA NANO from Triumph & Harley. Worst design for poor category, cheap bike for poor people. If you see any other model design by Triumph & Harley you will feel Shame. You would never feel proud while riding this bike.
