Underrated Pumpkins classic, with great dynamics. They pull back twice during the song, the final buildup from about 2:19 is brilliantly executed, with the guitars crashing in at 2:56 and then the solo from Billy finally cutting loose at 3:08. Add in an evocative fan-made video that adds a nostalgic feel of SP 1988-2000 and reminds us how great and unique they really were.
Absolutely! My thought as well. As a Chicago dude who watched the Pumkins come up, and living near Billy Corgan, I was even more intrigued. The music was intense (Gish & Siamees Dream) and totally unique at the time. Rock God and proud Chicago dude. When Steve Albini produced Nevermind, he came straight from working with Billy C, he shared a lot of Corgan's guitar sound. Don't get me wrong, I love Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. The Smashing Pumpkins did not get the attention they deserved for leading this style.

Feelium is unreal. Objectively, I know Beatles were the greatest groundbreaking songwriters, but personally, Corgan will always be my favorite writer, singer, and guitar player. If I could only have one more concept album like Machina...
If Billy is really honest with himself, he knows why people in general connect far more to the Pumpkins music from '91-00 than '08-present. It has nothing to do with nostalgia or a desire for the band to record Siamese Dream II. There is simply no comparison between the musicianship and melodic elements of a song like this and any song he's put out since the reformation. That's not to say there hasn't be some good pieces of music, but nothing has come close to capturing the essence of what made this band great or reached the lofty heights of that greatness. What long-time fans have a problem with is Billy's penchant for growth and evolution through subtraction. Instead of building on and driving onto new territory with the playing skills and quintessential elements that made their sound so unique, Billy has pretty much rejected all of that for the last 20+ years and attempted to reinvent the wagon. The sad thing is, he can't simply turn on "the voice" or guitar playing skills anymore because they've been neglected for so long. I can't for the life of me figure out why someone would develop such a singular talent and then basically forsake it.
