    I'm so glad I found you on Instagram. You are my new favorite to watch. I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your effort into helping people with their skin. I had cystic acne that covered my face for 6 years. It affected my whole life, I hate to say it. I could not afford to go see a dermatologist or get facials so having this channel and your help is so amazing. I hope the people that need it find it. Thanks for all your hard work. I wish I had someone like you in my lonely acne teenage days.

    I love your videos and your voice is so soothing! I have extremely oily skin (not surface dry) and make sure I use a gentle non-stripping cleanser twice daily, with a wash cloth at night, and cleanse very well. I’m also currently pregnant (due in less than a week!) so that has made my skin so much oilier and I have been getting more breakouts. I have no inflammation in my skin anymore. Sometimes I get an inflamed spot but most of my issues are congestion around the mouth and on my chin. I have teeny tiny white bumps that I can see if I use my tongue to press my chin out. They really don’t go away unless I soften my skin, use a sterile lancet, and extract the seeds/stringy stuff. However sometimes I get fluid/clear bumps that can’t be extracted. I do chemically exfoliate with salicylic acid nightly to help. But I’m frustrated as to why I keep getting them and I hate having to extract them! I also hate my oily skin!!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад

      The clear liquid could be flat warts....sometimes they appear and can disappear at anytime also. Best not to sneeze the clear ones as you can spread the virus and get more. The white bumps need good cleansing which it sounds like you are doing. and hydrating. Can you send pics to my office at educateyourskin@gmail.com so I can see:))

    We as consumers are constantly bombarded with new “must have” products and treatments. It gets so overwhelming! Currently I’m seeing Face Rollers (jade, quartz, etc). What are your thoughts on face rolling for massage/lymphatic drainage and is this something we should add to our routine or is it another hype? Thank you so much!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +3

      I do not use them in my treatments, but some people like them very much. They can be a nice home care device as some feel it is easier to massage their own face this way. I do what I believe in most in my treatments....massage with my hands and extractions... these two alone takes up most of my treatments:))

    amazing! your videos are amazing and really helping me clear up my acne. I am still nervous about starting a regular sunscreen. I have tried a chemical and a physical which both seemed to make my acne worse. Should I just keep trying different brands ( I know you like color science)? Or should i just stick it out with the one i'm using and my skin will adjust and stop breaking out? Thank you so much! I have been using one with Zinc but it doesn't have a comprehensive ingredient list.

    Hi Nerida, great improvement in Juliettes skin ,just amazing. I've heard that clients using the environ range which is vit.a based have to use micro needleing after a while because it helps the products absorb into the skin. Is this also the case with rejuvi retinol products ? Thanks for the education you are giving us. X

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад

      No.... Micro needling is not for everyone...retinols get in just fine without it:)) Its Vitamin A.... absorbed into the blood stream...thats why doctors do not allow you to use it if you are pregnant. Vitamin A is toxic in high doses ... thats why you have to have blood tests to check your liver every 3 months when on accutane.
      I think if you are using Hyaluronic acid with micro needling.... that sounds like it could be a positive.... :))

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 лет назад

      Hello! 👋🏼 I am somewhat familiar with Environ. I did not use it to treat clients myself, but I have a dear friend who uses that range on her clients and myself with wonderful results. While it is true Environ does push micro-needling treatments for some people, they don’t say it is necessarily a must. I never did. Yes, it does help products to penetrate more...but you don’t have to do them to have a good result. I’ve had Environ peels done on myself with serums and creams applied afterward. There are many different applications and options. Another great and well formulated line. Their vitamin A products are some of the best! Hope this helps! 😊

    Hello! Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. Do you have a favorite vitamin c product? I have melasma and really sensitive skin that was very irritated by the hydroxyquinone prescribed by the derm. I also love to surf so I don’t want anything that makes my skin extra photosensitive. I’ve heard that vitamin c is good for dark spots and can work well with sunscreen. Second question: I have little white clogged pores along the line in my chin. What do you use for those? Nothing works!

    Hi Nerida Joy, I love your videos they are very informative. I am writing to you from germany, i am also an esthetician. I wanted to ask you why you tell your clients to use retinol when you have performed an aha. I feel like I am always commenting and then you say you stay up that late answering questions and that makes me feel so bad! I do have 1 important question before I order some products though. I see your kits (like daniella and juliette which are right for me) do not contain a toner. Do you feel a toner isnt necessary? I have always heard those are a helpful punch to make sure you're getting the skin clean. Thank you for yout dedication and help!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, you are correct. I rarely recommend toners as they are not necessary and you should be cleansing very well. Most people that use toners are not cleansing well and toners are not making up for it:))

Because most of what you are using on treatments you recomend them for home as well.. Will the customer come to us as frequent as we want if he is using quite the same products that we use on treatments? Thank you!

    Hi Nerida. I have combination skin, very oily on my T zone and normal at the rest of my face. I clean my skin very well with a non foaming cleanser and in the morning I apply a moisturizer with salicilic acid and sunscreen. In the night just a light moisturizer. I have a LOT of black and white heads in my entire face, mostly on my T zone and no matter what i do i cant control them. I even use Differin 0.1% for a while but just make my skin very red and more sensitive. Do you have any recommendations?
    Thank you so much for your videos and attencion with the comments.

    HI Nerida. Question; why Retinols at night? You had something like those during the night and Hydroxy acids during the day. Also, How can you tell if it’s just surface dryness? Is it from those very fine superficial fine lines that is a lack of hydration right?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, retinols at PM.... different sensitivity then aha's. Yes, on the dehydration too. I show it in certain videos...Thuy, Estrella, actually most of my models started out surface dry:))

    Lol, I exfoliate 2-3 times a week - when I shave with my straight razor. I used to be prone to ingrown hairs, but the lathering with a shave soap or cream with a brush and shaving with a single blade, I haven't had much problems over the past 2 1/2 years. I do use hybiclens to wash my face after I shave. I use Noxzema everyday - still have trouble with minimal black and white heads in the crease of my chin and my nose??

    Most moisturizers I use, cause little bumps and breakouts so now I just use grapeseed oil but it's not moisturizing enough. I definitely have surface dryness. I probably should switch back to a moisturizer but I don't know what to use that won't break me out.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад +1

      You have to get rid of the surface dryness as that is why you are getting the little bumps underneath. get rid of the dryness first and focus on the bumps. Are you using a foaming cleanser? if so......STOP!!

    • @LEOofGnG
      @LEOofGnG 5 лет назад +1

      I appreciate your time to respond! I do not use a foaming cleanser, I never use anything that strips all oil from my face. I do need to do something about my surface dryness that's causing excessive oily skin!

      I use Bulgarian rose water mixed with some apple cider vinegar as my toner. Paula's Choice salicylic acid (just a few drops so it won't dry out my skin) to control my super acne prone skin and then the Grapeseed oil for moisturizer.
      I'm just assuming I have surface dryness because my T-zone is always a SUPER shiny oily mess at the end of the day.
      Thanks for the response again! :)

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 лет назад

      Your apple cider vinegar will dry you out and the salicylic acid. Then you use a grapeseed oil..... NOOOOO Your drying your skin then over nourishing with a large molecule oil. EVERYTHING needs changing...sorry!!@@LEOofGnG

    Hi Nerida, thank you for the informing videos. I was wondering what type of cleansers I should use for oily acne prone skin? I'm currently using a 2% salicylic acid foaming cleanser ( I know, bad) but going forward, should I be using a milk or a gel cleanser? Also do they need to have an increased amount of AHAs or BHAs, like 1-2% in order to be effective?

    • @devon.pfeifer
      @devon.pfeifer 5 лет назад +2

      Hello! Cleansers don’t need to be aggressive to be good. Salicylic is wonderful for oily acne skins, but often drying in a cleanser or toner format. Salicylic is a drying exfoliant for an oily skin, which can be a good thing, but it may be better to use it in a treatment serum or cream that does not dry the whole outer layer of the epidermis. If you have more inflamed acne, salicylic acid is better choice as an exfoliant, but if you have small papules that are not inflamed, I would probably choose glycolic acid, or even a lactic acid if you need something more hydrating.
