Bethesda: Alright, so we’re making a new Elder Scrolls game, but we don’t know what vibe to give it. Maybe we could ask the composer we hired? Jeremy Soule: (cracks knuckles) **Say no more**
I learnt this song about 8 months ago using a different arrangement, and I love it so much, but finding this one, it sounds so much more authentic and pretty. This arrangement really does Jeremy's original composition justice, and shows the uniqueness between phrases rather than their "repetitive" nature in other arrangements. It honestly sounds the closest to the original I've ever heard on an instrument. I love this song so much. I might be mad cringe for this but for some reason this made me cry so much.
You are right. I found this arrangement to be most compelling. If one were to really convert secunda to piano only, this would be it. I am learning this arrangement currently. I wonder how long it took them to arrange this piece? And no, you're not cringe. It's people who cringe at the sight of emotion that cringe. Especially when tearing up in this case means that the music resonates with your inner sense of beauty. It is a good indicator to think about what it is that resonates so much. Cause it's usually means that's something we would like to strive for one way or another.
It took me to mid August till I got it to a point where I was satisfied with it. But yeah, I am done with it for now and moved on to "from past to present" :)
@johannesschmitz6370 I agree w the comment above mine! Would love to see a cover. One thing I do wanna know is how the hell did you get the stretch with the left hand at 0:20? Just time?
It’s so weird like this song has existed for so long yet the one time I finally decided to learn it sheet music boss uploads it! Like in the 11 years Skyrim has been out I’m only 3 weeks after it! Thanks SMB, you’re a legend!
Let's go! I've been waiting for a Secunda cover for a while because it's a really beautiful piece of music in my opinion and this was definitely worth the wait.
Oh la la, mais c'est la nostalgie en ce moment ! D'abord le thème de Breaking Bad, maintenant mon thème préféré de Skyrim... Ils me régalent sur cette chaîne.
"Secunda" is close to the Spanish word "segunda", which uses the affix "segund", which comes from the Latin word "segue", which means "follow", which can be applied to the term "runner-up"... which means "second". Oh, my God, I just realized it's named after the secondary moon! Jeremy Soule is a genius! (This is a joke. It was very obvious.)
If you like certain pieces from a video game, I suggest following route. Look for the OST (original sound track) of the video game on RUclips. You'll usually end up with a playlist of all the songs contained in the video game. Then you just skip the songs in the playlist till you find the music you were looking for. It'll take you about 30 minutes and not an eternity when relying on sheer luck
Skyrim is filled with pretty subtle OST that most don't pay attention to (Yes, most don't have the time to listen to music when they're fighting a dragon to protect a village or something), but that doesn't take anything from how good it is. My favorite is and always will be the Dragons' theme (Obviously), but the calmer ones reserved for explorations and when you're in a town are amazing as well.
Jedes mal wenn ich das Höre, stell ich mir vor in dieser Welt zu leben. wie ich einen Weg entlang laufe, den Wind in den Bäumen höre, das Wasser im Bach plätschern höre und in der Nacht die Monde sieht Every time I hear this, I imagine living in this world. as I walk along a path, hear the wind in the trees, hear the water rippling in the stream and see the moons in the night
Now this is one of them better skyrim themes but it shows itself at weird points in the game usually when you decide to leave the game on but not pause it.
Day 918 (2 years and 188 days): please, can I kindly suggest you to arrange *EMERALD ESCAPADE* a.k.a. ULTRA MANIA by mashed? It would be really cool! Thank you!
I think these songs would make good piano pieces: Paramina Rift - Final Fantasy XII Jenova's Theme - Final Fantasy VII Airbuster Theme - Final Fantasy VII Archylte Steppe Theme - Final Fantasy XIII
Day 538: 1. Cold as Ice by Foreigner 2. Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) by Looking Glass 3. Lady by Styx 4. Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, Running on Ice, Travelin' Prayer, or pretty much anything by Billy Joel Please.
This sounds great, I’ve never played Skyrim but I’m thinking of getting it sometime soon. Would you be able to make a video about Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit from Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
Since you seem to be on the Elder Scrolls binge, could you do "Northpoint Nocturne" from Elder Scrolls Online? I swore this track was in Skyrim as well, but it doesn't appear on the soundtrack. Maybe it was because it played in The Rift when I first heard it.
I have a video idea: "Easy Lady" from Ivanna Spagna (P.S: make a Russian version of "You Spin Me Round" (like a record) from Dead or Alive ( I think you already have a normal version of it on your Chanel) )

love this one. most secunda piano covers/sheets add harmonies that aren't in the original, but this is pretty much 1 to 1. sounds great, thank you
Most beautiful song in the whole game, and that's saying something.

Skyrim was my childhood, I learned this song around 15

Simply one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.
I must admit this piece moves me to tears at times and then I realize music is about sharing your passionate soul.

probably the best just exploring or going home song in the game there's a lot of comfort in the song unless you then see a dragon

А ещё secunda переводится с русского как секунда (дословно secunda)
Yes this is how they are called ingame, secunda is the smaller moon while masser is the bigger one, there s a track called masser too
For anyone wondering, secunda literally just means second in Latin
