- So, after I made that "All of King K. Rool's voice lines" video a couple months ago, I got another quench for video game to cartoon baddies, and moved on to King Koopa, himself! I searched through all the episodes of The Super Mario Brothers Super Show, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World to find and compile every last voice line from King Koopa. This video took at least half a year to complete...

I like how 95% of his dialogue are insults
He's actually a freelance police dog!
Sam, right? I recognize Harvey Atkin’s voice in both of the characters.
And the other 5%: “KOOPA PACK… ATTACK!!!”
And on top of that, it’s a toss-up on whether he had more insults directed towards the Mario Brothers/company or his own “useless” minions /Koopa kids.

There's just a uniqueness to this version of Bowser I can't help but appreciate. Really is the highlight of the three shows.

Honestly, this is the ideal voice for King Koopa/Bowser. If he ever speaks with fully fleshed out dialogue again, they need to replicate this voice.

@@ITzaMii_ Well that's how Bowser originally is. The Super Mario Bros Super Show Bowser is based on how he was in the original Super Mario Bros for NES. That's back in the day when Bowser is actually a threat and he has no sweet side to anyone(Except for his Koopalings obviously, and even then, he's still strict to them). Even in the original Super Mario Bros for NES, Bowser kidnaps Peach just for the purpose to take over the Mushroom Kingdom just like the Super Mario Bros Super Show, not for simping over the princess.

Harvey Atkin was a great comedian and a great voice actor when he voiced King Koopa in The Super Bros Super Show, The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World. I laugh so hard when he said those hilarious lines on all of them.

King Koopa acts exactly like a supervisor/boss at my work giving orders and trying to intimidate employees he doesn't like by putting them down, firing them, and twisting everything they say. Now I understand why they call him King Koopa at work after watching this video.
This brings me nostalgia :D
Oh and by the way, Harvey Atkin was a great actor. It's a shame that he passed away two years ago. :(

This scene honestly scared the hell out of me as a child. So much so I NEVER watched that episode. The idea of Mario dying just terrified me. And I found the laugh to be genuinely one of the scariest Bowser laughs.
Alot of the show scared me cause alot of the music sounds like it came from an old horror movie and alot of it is actually extremly unerving and dark sounding old synths just have such a creppy sound its the same for some of the adventures of sonic the hedgehog scenes not all but there are a few

King Koopa is one of my favorite characters of all time. A great Villain with a capital V; evil and totally happy with himself and what he does. Legend!

After seeing the latter half of the video, I have to mention how much of a mistake it was to retcon the Koopalings as Bowser’s kids... it gave the Koopa King 7 different personalities to interact with. Plus they interact with each other.
That and... I know how the cartoon names for them were not their original/real names. But Nintendo really should have watched the cartoon and taken some queues from it. Maybe they couldn't use all of it, but Kootie Pie and the way she acted and was drawn was so much better than how she was in the game... same with Lemmy and Iggy (Hip and Hop). Them being twins was so much better than what we got in the game.
Also, how is having Koopa have a child that just looks like a mini-version of him and have the same name, work as a child? It is juts boring.

Look I love Kenny James as Bowser as much as the next guy but Harvey Atkin was THE definitive speaking voice of Bowser. Its this voice I hear whenever I read his dialogue in games like Mario Party or the other Mario games with dialogue boxes. It's sad that he's passed though. Hopefully Jack Black will be able bring that kind of voice to the upcoming Mario movie next year. And judging by how promising he sounded in the trailer
