Looking back at old vids all day proves I enjoy this channel not just for the guns or the quirks or one thing in particular, but because it is genuinely just straight up great work every time.

What a knowledgeable chap. Three cheers for RUclips, because this sort of content would never be aired on the P.c channels nowadays. Thank you Tgs for sharing.

Such a great history lesson that I've watched this video several times. As a side note to the training of any breed as a gun dog, I have trained my dalmatian as a gun dog and whilst not exceptional, she does the job more than well enough. Not ideally soft mouthed but hey ho.

i used the paper shells, have a damascus barrel hollaway hammer, man the chokes tight, proofed, its not a 2 3/4 and we shot modern 2 3/4 shells through it for 20 years, i learnt with hammer guns, i remember the changeover to plastic shells. pop always had a row of paper shells around his wood stove on the farm. yes we had a spare paper shells back in the car incase the ones used swelled or you fell over, so many funny stories, pop always told me about black powder duck shoots, he said on a calm day you had to wait for the smoke to clear to see the duck lol. english guns had the claim of being exellent, german stuff, but pop always said that their are more good guns than good shots though.

Filling the barrel with water then measuring the volume might tell you if it is relief bored. Work out the volume of a straight cylinder and then see if it holds less than that
