Don’t throw away the “dirt” from the plainer! If you mix it with glue you can make wood filler in the exact color of your wood 🤍
Yes, it's great! Glue + water + wood chips work pretty well. But I've noticed that hand-sanded sawdust is better to use than machine-made sawdust. That's because the hand-sanded dirt is much thicker than the other. And when you do your final sanding, with machine sawdust the wood filaments can more easily go off in one block. That doesn't happen with fine dust.
They literally already made a video where one of them used that trick in a project.

Little tip for making panels - turn every second board upside down. It will help prevent the panel from bowing. Just check year rings on the side. Their direction should alternate, creating a 'wave'. If that makes sense 😊
