What surprised me the most is how faithful the new voice actors are to the pilot voice actors. I thought the voice will be heavily different from the original but they did a great job at filling in the shoes from the previous voices. Like Angel Dust almost sounds exactly the same to me.
Glad to read that at least one other person sees it the same way. Like, you can definitely hear it's not Michael Kovach, but Angel's new VA clearly wanted to stay true to the character Michael brought to live. Same goes for all the other new voice actors.
That's why I was so worried about the voice actor change but the new guy has done SO good and I am SO proud. The entire team, art and voice actors alike staying true and close to the Pilot is actually quite impressive

This is one show bruh, not the entirety of the Genre. I don't know where people get this hilarious mentality that Hazbin Hotel sparked the Indie Animation trend (it did not) but it needs to stop.
@@notseen9 You have missed the point entirely. For years now, indie animation has been sorely overlooked in the mainstream and left to be forgotten. The Hazbin pilot felt like the first time in a long time that a truly indie adult animated series gained traction and in its wake we’ve seen a lot more of the same success with other indie shows and a lot more variation in the genre. No-one’s claiming Hazbin invented indie animation. We’re just happy that the success of the pilot has allowed other independent artists to take more confidence in and risks with their own works and see a lot of the same successes.
I’m not gonna lie I’m going to miss the old cast, but I’m just happy that we get to see an entire series Edit: WOW, that’s a lot of comments and a lot of likes. The only past voice i liked better was alastor’s but Im honestly so happy for viv that she got the voices SHE wanted, as the creator of these characters. Im excited to see what she does with these new voices and actually get to know the characters’ personality that are not based on just the pilot.
Also side note: this is an amazing trailer. I love the archangels designs, alastor using an all powerful form for like 2 seconds in there. Hearing the voices of Vox and Adam. And the animation is so cleanly done
I'm a little disappointed that Vox's voice doesn't sound more electronic, he sounds so... normal. XD Still, after over a decade of waiting, I'm sooooo stoked to see this!
Now I know why I felt like it was missing something... I always expected it would mirror Alastor's by being distorted in some way like his. But maybe they save that for when he's getting angry. We've seen him glitch and all in that one gif with Alastor. His voice could therefore change in moments where he's less in control of himself, the same way they changed his left eye to only look like his old design when he's angry etc.

1. I like how the angels look like devils, harkening back to the ideas that they are two sides of the same coin 2. There is a clear difference in character designs between this and Hellva Boss, giving each their own identity while still looking like they share a universe (which the do) 3. The brought back Sir Pentus from the pilot and are (hopefully) going to make him a reoccurring character.
The angels don't just look like devils, they speak and pretty much act like devils as well which is weird because they're supposed to be the embodiment of holiness and the thing that Lucifer is not, but for some reason they look like more of a jackass than Lucifer himself. Hopefully there's a better explanation here than "we want to make angels not likeable" (I'm assuming it's because they're exterminators so their aggressiveness is over the top or smth?).

Something I absolutely love from this trailer is the tiny details where the tv commercial gets a static if Alastor is within the frame of the camera. It's such a cool detail and I can't wait to see the extent of his powers. Another thing is the angels, their designs look so good and the extermination sequence looks insane. And I can't help but notice how similar Adam and Mammon are. Just pissed I have to wait a whole month after my birthday to watch it 😢😫
Another cool detail is Angel Dust with the script. At the start he show problems to memorize the script but at the end is he is holding one. Could show that Charlie know he has problems with memorize and she let him keep it
Just the fact it's airing on my birthday makes this all the more special to me! Viv and her team had come so far! Even though the OG cast isn't there it's still amazing how the new cast stayed loyal to the voices for the characters! And the fact Viv had Amir Talai, the inspiration for Alastors character, IS playing Alastor is AMAZING! She wanted to get Weird Al to voice Lucifer and her head cannon is Lillith has Lady GaGa's voice, I hope she gets them!

This series started as a single arc of her webcomic Zoophobia, where many of the main characters we see here were minions of a major antagonist. Angel Dust doodles go back probably over a decade at this point. I remember the concept art from back in middle school and I’m almost 24, so that’s REALLY how long she’s been working on this.
the dress appears in the painting where she is with her ex-boyfriend, the animal mascots are razzle and dazzle, and the strong man protecting would be Alastor
I e been following this series for a decade. I’m so excited for Vivzie and her crew. I remember back when Angel dust and Vaggie were suppose to be a couple, and Charlie’s design being unrecognizable. So much has changed conceptually since the Zoophobia days but I’m so excited for this. I’m ready to get chills at tragic moments and listen to the songs on loop.
Coming back to this after the release, I am SO glad they took the fans' advice and put the radio filter back on Alastor's voice for the "So, what do you think?" line. No hate to Amir, he is fantastic in this role, but that line bothered me so much without the filter lmao
I keep rewatching 1:19 . I am going to listen the heck out of this song when it comes out. Also Vox's voice is perfect, not quite what I expected but now I can't imagine it any other way!

Keith David is one of my favorite voice actors! Though I do wish he'd added in that sort of growl he used when he played Goliath, as I feel that tone would work better, but I understand that age will limit what you can do.

I am not sure how I feel about Alister’s new voice. It is a bit too high in my opinion. But other than that, I am so excited that Hazbin Hotel is finally becoming the series it always deserved to be.
0:25 It sounds very soft, almost feminine. Nothing against guys with feminine voice but a homicidal bloodthirsty demon shouldn't sound this sweet. He sounds perfectly demonic whenever he uses his "radio persona" voice, so I hope we hear more of that.

And now, it is more human-like... I really loved the smooth animation and new designs (even thou, I prefer the previous Charlie design for some reason). And it's kinda obvious, Angle Dust was Vivzie's favourite...

I'll be Honest: i thought this was cancelled and never going to show this again due to controversy or whatever happened to it but i'm very happy and glad at the same time there's a first series! i'm excited to watch after the pilot of Hazbin Hotel! i hope and pray that this will be a successful series! if it is a success or not: I congratulate the creator and animators of this show! keep up the good work! you put your soul and passion in making this! i salute you.

I mean not just the song but Before that Exterminators and Vox which is a highly anticipated Overlord who is Al's rival. 1 - Lucifer's appearance. 2 - Demon form Charlie/ (Holy shit the sync with Adam's Guitar is straight fire I just noticed) 3 - New angel 4 - Alastor'being a menace. And let's be real Alastor is like Hazbin Hotel's Sans in terms of popularity compared to the rest of the cast. Taking 70% of the Fandom. This scene is straight fire in music and visuals
This trailer was so cool ! Especially once the war part started, like you can almost feel the tension ! And also, Alastor being badass as always, especially with that line "It's time that I remind everyone why I'm here" like Jesus Freaking Christ, it gives me chills
I was only 17 years old when I watched the first ever pilot of Hazbin Hotel. I definitely love all the characters especially Alastor. I hear familiar songs from a famous musical or two. Now, it is a big series in Amazon Prime. The new voices are still new to me and the animation is slicker than before. Cheers to Ms. Vivziepop and her team for working hard in this indie project to a reality. I can't wait to watch this and I'll memorize all the songs by heart.
I am… so nervous abt Angel as a character. After watching him throughout the series, that clip of Charlie crying at his door makes me so scared that Viv is gonna kill him off. That’s one theory I hope isnt true

Anyone else back from the finale? We waited 4 years…had 8 episodes and the 1st season is already done. Wow. Indie creator to show runner, Vivziepop, you must be proud. [SPOILERS!] Sir Pentious…you went from the villain of the week to the greatest character in the series. A joke to an actual hero who will always be remembered in the happy hotel. Kissed his crush, sacrificed himself, actually redeemed himself & went into heaven proving Charlie’s dream can come true. Truly inspirational showing how far you can go. Charlie going through all the hate & backlash from Hell to defending her home & having a war against the Exorcists along with having Emily on her side. Vaggie being okay with revealing the truth about being an angel & Charlie accepting her & loving her still, Carmine giving her much needed advice also about the angels & what to fight for. Angel sticking up against Val & learns it’s okay & bettering himself a lot, still cutting loose but not overdoing it thanks to his pal Husker. Husker despite being a drunkard is the one who will have your back even if he got a mouth on him. Alastor’s deceitful yet charming attitude but went down with his friends in the end and being the mentor to Charlie. (Even though he’s got big plans in the future to get free from his deal with ?) The Three V’s being badder in the next season. Hell will no longer laugh at the Princess of Hell since her dream is now a reality. And Niffty killing that dickhead Adam. Adam got proven wrong even though he didn’t get to see it, looks like Hell isn’t forever after all. Adam’s ego got crushed by the Hazbins fighting back, Lucifer giving him the much deserved beating & being taunted by the “most hated being in the universe” in his own realm, and was killed by the little psychotic gremlin comic relief of the series that no one saw coming. Tomorrow will be a fucking happy day in Hell!

i have a theory that angel gets to heaven, but i decided to rewatch this before the last 2 eps of season 1, and i feel like this scene breaks my theory to shreds.
It fascinates me because of Brad Bird’s point of view of animations saying it can do any genre, it can do a detective film, a cowboy film, a horror film, an R rated film or a kids fairy tale, I can do anything genre but it can’t do one thing.
On the hazbin hotel pilot I made on a comment on how much this show means to me and being able to see them get a full season is a dream come true, if i could tell me from 2019 that my favorite youtube pilot is getting a full show I would lose my mind. It's so amazing to see this project change and grow alongside me changing and growing. Hazbin hotel will always be a special thing for me, being there through the ups and downs of my life. It gives me an almost nostalgic feeling that brings me more joy then it should. Thank you to the voice cast, the artists, the team, and vivziepop herself, thank you for making my favorite thing ever.
There’s honestly several major points about this trailer that makes me rather worried; 1. It seems the extermination is happening rather early in the plot line. In the old pilot the extermination had just ended giving the characters a full year to prepare and undergo character development. This would build up to an epic season finale of either an epic win or fail, similar to how Sozans Comet acted in avatar. Making the extermination happen earlier takes away that build up and growth. 2. Charlie is having direct contact with the angels rather early. This takes away much of their menace and makes reaching heaven seem more achievable. I think a large part of the original appeal is how uncertain the whole plan was and how unfeasible reaching heaven is. Now a lot of that build up and mysterious factor is lost. To compare to avatar again since people are familiar, avoiding showing Ozai’s face until late in the show really helped enhance his menace and unreach-ability. I feel like attempting to directly contact heaven should be a season 2 thing after the season 1 final of the extermination. 3. There’s very little personality wise separating the angels and demons, unlike in hella boss where the angels didn’t curse and acted very different. I honestly think a cold uncaring emotionless angel of death is much more terrifying and threatening than one cursing and laughing while carrying out an extermination. Now this might be carried out very well if the show makes this a point that not all angels are good and not all demons are evil, then it really shows heavens hypocrisy and can serve as a great symbolism. But I’m not entirely trusting that will happen and that the angels aren’t just dicks for the laughs. I’m going to be honest, I’m super excited for this show but I’m worried too. Hella boss’s main struggle is its tone problem. It’s supposed to be more comedic but it struggles in that it has super serious emotional scenes that are cut off hard by poor timed comedy. It comes across as being afraid to commit to a serious tone. The striker statue scene is a great example in that it was a wild tone shift in the MIDDLE of the serious scene, and then the continuation of the serious scene was awkward. I really really hope that the crew allows this to be more serious of course still with comedy. It shouldn’t be the two tones fighting awkwardly but better balanced.
I completely agree with you. This comment is so underrated and I actually wanna point out another small but really irritating detail. I’m not gonna get into a whole thing abt the massive problem of overly-used red colours, but I am gonna point out the lack of creativity when they showed the scene of the extermination and those demons dying, by making the blood red. Like come on guys, you could’ve made it ANY colour. In fact, when I searched up the blood colours for demons, it came up with black, brown, green and even WHITE. This just comes across as being lazy and taking the easy way out. Just including that variation in there could make all the difference. But hey, who knows what will happen in the actual show. I hope they do include some blood variations at LEAST.

What I'm most worried about is that the trailer makes it look like the main characters become "besties" within the first season. I was actually expecting to see them do a lot of bantering while learning to live together and slowly forming friendships throughout the show. That's one of the main things I was wanting to see!
My hope was that the show would be mostly character driven, focusing on expanding the characters' backstories and have them slowly become better people thanks to Charlie's influence. This trailer makes me worried that the conflict between Heaven will be the series' main focus and I think that's less interesting than the show's original premise. I'm not against a conflict with Heaven, but I think that would work best if it was something that was built up over time. I don't know how many episodes this trailer covers, but it makes it look like it'll happen pretty early on. The angels being assholes isn't surprising, but I'm hoping the show doesn't go in an "demons good, angels bad" direction. I'd prefer it if Charlie is the only fully good character in the show, at least initially. I'm also hoping that Adam's subordinate Lute is a more reserved character, to balance out her boss's loud personality. I'm also concerned about the show's tone, for a variety of reasons. The question "What does it take to redeem someone" is an interesting one and the "Addict" music video suggests that the show will touch on some pretty dark topics. I'm worried that the deeper aspects will only be given lip service and the show will end up focusing on wacky vulgarity instead of something more meaningful. Oh well. All I can do is hope for the best.

Там было много банальных скетчей с голосами, и не было четко проработанных персонажей до малейших деталей. Поэтому мне действительно грустно, что сейчас я вижу это.

@@notseen9 You have missed the point entirely. For years now, indie animation has been sorely overlooked in the mainstream and left to be forgotten. The Hazbin pilot felt like the first time in a long time that a truly indie adult animated series gained traction and in its wake we’ve seen a lot more of the same success with other indie shows and a lot more variation in the genre. No-one’s claiming Hazbin invented indie animation. We’re just happy that the success of the pilot has allowed other independent artists to take more confidence in and risks with their own works and see a lot of the same successes.

The only past voice i liked better was alastor’s but Im honestly so happy for viv that she got the voices SHE wanted, as the creator of these characters. Im excited to see what she does with these new voices and actually get to know the characters’ personality that are not based on just the pilot.

I'm a little disappointed that Vox's voice doesn't sound more electronic, he sounds so... normal. XD Still, after over a decade of waiting, I'm sooooo stoked to see this!
Now I know why I felt like it was missing something...
I always expected it would mirror Alastor's by being distorted in some way like his.
But maybe they save that for when he's getting angry.
We've seen him glitch and all in that one gif with Alastor.
His voice could therefore change in moments where he's less in control of himself, the same way they changed his left eye to only look like his old design when he's angry etc.
His head is a plasma screen tv, his voice has to be very high quality with the best audio.

1. I like how the angels look like devils, harkening back to the ideas that they are two sides of the same coin
2. There is a clear difference in character designs between this and Hellva Boss, giving each their own identity while still looking like they share a universe (which the do)
3. The brought back Sir Pentus from the pilot and are (hopefully) going to make him a reoccurring character.
The angels don't just look like devils, they speak and pretty much act like devils as well which is weird because they're supposed to be the embodiment of holiness and the thing that Lucifer is not, but for some reason they look like more of a jackass than Lucifer himself. Hopefully there's a better explanation here than "we want to make angels not likeable" (I'm assuming it's because they're exterminators so their aggressiveness is over the top or smth?).

Something I absolutely love from this trailer is the tiny details where the tv commercial gets a static if Alastor is within the frame of the camera. It's such a cool detail and I can't wait to see the extent of his powers. Another thing is the angels, their designs look so good and the extermination sequence looks insane. And I can't help but notice how similar Adam and Mammon are. Just pissed I have to wait a whole month after my birthday to watch it 😢😫

Even though the OG cast isn't there it's still amazing how the new cast stayed loyal to the voices for the characters! And the fact Viv had Amir Talai, the inspiration for Alastors character, IS playing Alastor is AMAZING! She wanted to get Weird Al to voice Lucifer and her head cannon is Lillith has Lady GaGa's voice, I hope she gets them!

This series started as a single arc of her webcomic Zoophobia, where many of the main characters we see here were minions of a major antagonist. Angel Dust doodles go back probably over a decade at this point. I remember the concept art from back in middle school and I’m almost 24, so that’s REALLY how long she’s been working on this.

I e been following this series for a decade. I’m so excited for Vivzie and her crew. I remember back when Angel dust and Vaggie were suppose to be a couple, and Charlie’s design being unrecognizable. So much has changed conceptually since the Zoophobia days but I’m so excited for this. I’m ready to get chills at tragic moments and listen to the songs on loop.

I really miss the old cast, especially the VA for Alstor... It was soo unique, not normal, a different type of chaotic and classy radio '80 commenter vibe AND I LOVED THAT... And now, it is more human-like... I really loved the smooth animation and new designs (even thou, I prefer the previous Charlie design for some reason). And it's kinda obvious, Angle Dust was Vivzie's favourite...

I was only 17 years old when I watched the first ever pilot of Hazbin Hotel. I definitely love all the characters especially Alastor. I hear familiar songs from a famous musical or two. Now, it is a big series in Amazon Prime. The new voices are still new to me and the animation is slicker than before. Cheers to Ms. Vivziepop and her team for working hard in this indie project to a reality. I can't wait to watch this and I'll memorize all the songs by heart.

Sir Pentious…you went from the villain of the week to the greatest character in the series. A joke to an actual hero who will always be remembered in the happy hotel. Kissed his crush, sacrificed himself, actually redeemed himself & went into heaven proving Charlie’s dream can come true. Truly inspirational showing how far you can go. Charlie going through all the hate & backlash from Hell to defending her home & having a war against the Exorcists along with having Emily on her side. Vaggie being okay with revealing the truth about being an angel & Charlie accepting her & loving her still, Carmine giving her much needed advice also about the angels & what to fight for. Angel sticking up against Val & learns it’s okay & bettering himself a lot, still cutting loose but not overdoing it thanks to his pal Husker. Husker despite being a drunkard is the one who will have your back even if he got a mouth on him. Alastor’s deceitful yet charming attitude but went down with his friends in the end and being the mentor to Charlie. (Even though he’s got big plans in the future to get free from his deal with ?) The Three V’s being badder in the next season. Hell will no longer laugh at the Princess of Hell since her dream is now a reality. And Niffty killing that dickhead Adam. Adam got proven wrong even though he didn’t get to see it, looks like Hell isn’t forever after all. Adam’s ego got crushed by the Hazbins fighting back, Lucifer giving him the much deserved beating & being taunted by the “most hated being in the universe” in his own realm, and was killed by the little psychotic gremlin comic relief of the series that no one saw coming. Tomorrow will be a fucking happy day in Hell!

Finally, after so many years, the first trailer for Hazbin Hotel has been released and I know the wait will be so worth it.

Now, after watching the whole season, I have to admit - this is such a good trailer.
It fascinates me because of Brad Bird’s point of view of animations saying it can do any genre, it can do a detective film, a cowboy film, a horror film, an R rated film or a kids fairy tale, I can do anything genre but it can’t do one thing.
I missed the pilot cast, but the new voice actors for the series will do an amazing job on it. And the music sounds awesome too.
I'm looking forward to seeing it when it comes out.
On the hazbin hotel pilot I made on a comment on how much this show means to me and being able to see them get a full season is a dream come true, if i could tell me from 2019 that my favorite youtube pilot is getting a full show I would lose my mind. It's so amazing to see this project change and grow alongside me changing and growing. Hazbin hotel will always be a special thing for me, being there through the ups and downs of my life. It gives me an almost nostalgic feeling that brings me more joy then it should. Thank you to the voice cast, the artists, the team, and vivziepop herself, thank you for making my favorite thing ever.

UTTP, ZNTP, KKTK, THDTC, NUM AND OFFICER JIMMY MAKE MORE DELIGHTFUL CONTENT .
There’s honestly several major points about this trailer that makes me rather worried;
1. It seems the extermination is happening rather early in the plot line. In the old pilot the extermination had just ended giving the characters a full year to prepare and undergo character development. This would build up to an epic season finale of either an epic win or fail, similar to how Sozans Comet acted in avatar. Making the extermination happen earlier takes away that build up and growth.
2. Charlie is having direct contact with the angels rather early. This takes away much of their menace and makes reaching heaven seem more achievable. I think a large part of the original appeal is how uncertain the whole plan was and how unfeasible reaching heaven is. Now a lot of that build up and mysterious factor is lost. To compare to avatar again since people are familiar, avoiding showing Ozai’s face until late in the show really helped enhance his menace and unreach-ability. I feel like attempting to directly contact heaven should be a season 2 thing after the season 1 final of the extermination.
3. There’s very little personality wise separating the angels and demons, unlike in hella boss where the angels didn’t curse and acted very different. I honestly think a cold uncaring emotionless angel of death is much more terrifying and threatening than one cursing and laughing while carrying out an extermination. Now this might be carried out very well if the show makes this a point that not all angels are good and not all demons are evil, then it really shows heavens hypocrisy and can serve as a great symbolism. But I’m not entirely trusting that will happen and that the angels aren’t just dicks for the laughs.
I’m going to be honest, I’m super excited for this show but I’m worried too. Hella boss’s main struggle is its tone problem. It’s supposed to be more comedic but it struggles in that it has super serious emotional scenes that are cut off hard by poor timed comedy. It comes across as being afraid to commit to a serious tone. The striker statue scene is a great example in that it was a wild tone shift in the MIDDLE of the serious scene, and then the continuation of the serious scene was awkward.
I really really hope that the crew allows this to be more serious of course still with comedy. It shouldn’t be the two tones fighting awkwardly but better balanced.
That might be the point to be fair - that angels and demons aren't so different and the discrimination is unjust.
I completely agree with you. This comment is so underrated and I actually wanna point out another small but really irritating detail. I’m not gonna get into a whole thing abt the massive problem of overly-used red colours, but I am gonna point out the lack of creativity when they showed the scene of the extermination and those demons dying, by making the blood red. Like come on guys, you could’ve made it ANY colour. In fact, when I searched up the blood colours for demons, it came up with black, brown, green and even WHITE. This just comes across as being lazy and taking the easy way out. Just including that variation in there could make all the difference. But hey, who knows what will happen in the actual show. I hope they do include some blood variations at LEAST.

What I'm most worried about is that the trailer makes it look like the main characters become "besties" within the first season. I was actually expecting to see them do a lot of bantering while learning to live together and slowly forming friendships throughout the show. That's one of the main things I was wanting to see!
My hope was that the show would be mostly character driven, focusing on expanding the characters' backstories and have them slowly become better people thanks to Charlie's influence. This trailer makes me worried that the conflict between Heaven will be the series' main focus and I think that's less interesting than the show's original premise. I'm not against a conflict with Heaven, but I think that would work best if it was something that was built up over time. I don't know how many episodes this trailer covers, but it makes it look like it'll happen pretty early on.
The angels being assholes isn't surprising, but I'm hoping the show doesn't go in an "demons good, angels bad" direction. I'd prefer it if Charlie is the only fully good character in the show, at least initially. I'm also hoping that Adam's subordinate Lute is a more reserved character, to balance out her boss's loud personality.
I'm also concerned about the show's tone, for a variety of reasons. The question "What does it take to redeem someone" is an interesting one and the "Addict" music video suggests that the show will touch on some pretty dark topics. I'm worried that the deeper aspects will only be given lip service and the show will end up focusing on wacky vulgarity instead of something more meaningful.
Oh well. All I can do is hope for the best.

@@defaulthuman3855 да в общем. Посмотрела её канал, я знаю её лет 10, с основания. Только она поудаляла многие свои видео из тех времен. Там было много банальных скетчей с голосами, и не было четко проработанных персонажей до малейших деталей.
Поэтому мне действительно грустно, что сейчас я вижу это.
