Kind of reminds me of how my dog reacted to his best friend having puppies. He saw them, (all eleven of them) then walked into the house, went to the end of the hallway, sat down and stared at a painting on the wall for the rest of the visit, as if to say, "they're not real, they're not real." Real weird but super sweet dog. RIP Duke.

leno was pretty good when steve irwin was on his show... held kangaroos and it spit milk all over him and he didnt make a issue over it, and he was helping the him keep the 10 ft alligator on the stage.
conan and leno are the only talk show host who actually respect and care about animals. Conan is by FAR my favorite talk show host, not even a close second really.

a baby goat i an amazing pet, they have one problem tho..... they actually GROW UP, they won't stay babies, and soon they will headbutt you for no reason.
baby goats and baby sheeps are some of the joys of people who raise animals... once they grow up, there are baby chicks, those grow up too and strawberry season begins, you get sick of strawberries just in time for the cow to give birth to a baby calf etc......
ps: I am not a farmer, but our neighbors raise all kinds of barn animals.

Ancient Egyptian royalty were actually buried with those types of wild cats sometimes and they show up in their artwork
Caracals were domesticated by ancient Egyptians, not as pets, but more of hunting animals, like hawks, and the thing is, they were domesticated all around the middle east, Sahara desert, and all the way into Persia ... they are great at hunting birds since they can hunt them while they are flying low, and their babies are probably the cutest baby animals in the world, just look up (Caracal Kitten) and it will heal depression

I love how good Andy is with all of the animals.
Conan is definitely my favorite interviewer to watch with the wild animals, Kimmel and Fallon both act like such babies are are constantly acting stupid with the wild life and Conan is always so ready to pet the animals if he can and hold them if he can. Definitely not taking for granted the amazing opportunity he's getting from being able to do this.

===== Notice how the handler tried to dissuade others from thinking of these guys as pets, due to their evolved natures, but domesticated cats and dogs have their own personalities, too.
I've owned and bred cockatoos before, which, like all pets, require that certain conditions be met. Caracals and monkeys are no different. They are not right for everyone, but cats & dogs aren't right for everybody, either.
Zoos, accredited by themselves, actively lobby for laws taking away our rights to own animals such as these. They don't care that private keepers are typically at the forefront of innovation in animal husbandry.
Ironically, many of the laws don't hold zoos to their requirements. =====
psycotria Domesticated dogs and cats are, obviously, domesticated, and wild animals are not. Just because some people choose to ignore this huge and important distinction, doesn't mean that the animals make for good pets, for the caretaker or for the animals themselves. Wild animals are many times less reliable, require a lot of special care, and more space than domesticated pets. Sure, on rare occasion, people prove that they are well equipped to handle the private care of a wild animal, and can even provide it ample room and entertainment. However, when people don't realize the difference, and get all these dangerous wild predators without minimizing the risks, especially when there are children in the picture, it's really god damn stupid.
I'd love for there to be domesticated tigers, but I'm not going to pretend that actual tigers are.

KaoruKat Goats stand in all sorts of weird places. We used to drive through this middle-of-nowhere, east bumblefuck type place on the way to my grandparents' house a loooong time ago, and there was this one guy who had a goat farm. He had built a "treehouse" for them. I say a treehouse, it was more just a system of ramps that went up and down, allowing the goats to get up like 10 feet in the air and just survey the landscape. It was probably the weirdest/coolest thing I've ever seen. Goats will literally stand anywhere, even on your roof if you give them a way to get up there.

HeatherPonyweather It's a very limited time frame, he's gotta rush things. He'll do it to guests too if he has to; I do wish these segments would receive more time though.
I'd like to note that he is genuinely into this and interested in the animals presented and that the guy's been on several times (more than most) is worth mentioning.

When the guy is saying something interesting and u want to listen to what he's saying but then he never finishes because Conan makes a joke, and the guy doesn't go back to what he's saying.
+JaseH123 Well yeah, i feel like Conan's show is not the appropriate place to give actual information about animals and raise awareness for their cause because that is a comedy show and Conan is the host, it's his job to crack jokes and if the guy chooses Conan's show as a platform to reach awareness he should be ready for that. Quite the contrary i think that the guy should cope with Conan, he should get in on the jokes to make the show more fun, as it should be.
I understand that the guy heartfealthly cares about these animals and genuienly wants to help them, but a late night sitcom is not the place for raising awareness. Conan, the audience and the RUclips viewers mostly cares about the cuteness of the animals and how Conan turns it into a funny situaion, not the actual information about the animals.

JaseH123 That is true, but from Conan's perspective he comes up with a joke and he says it to entertain the audience. If he was to wait for the guy to finish he would either firget the joke or it would not work in another time.
Basically he said you shouldn't have these animals as pets because they're dangerous and need a LOT of special care and space.

And I love watching animal day with both Jimmys but I LOVE that Conan isn’t as nearly as afraid of them and doesn’t mind holding them. Minus the bugs and spiders (but reptiles and snakes are good with me), I’d loved to hold or pet all the animals I was allowed too!

Conan and Andy are good with animals....but Jay Leno was the best with them. He held them all, wasn't afraid, and he was genuinely interested in what the expert had to say....he rarely interrupted! :D

To the people who get annoyed that Conan is talking and making jokes over the animal guy:
1.) It's a talk show.
2.) It just so happens to be Conan's talk show.
3.) People watch Conan's talk show to see Conan and what zany things he is going to do or say. If there's any doubt of that, you haven't seen the show much.
4.) He's always done this--even from Late Night days. It's not like your little RUclips whining is going to change an established shtick.
5.) If you want animal facts, go to a book. If that's too hard for you, go to Wikipedia or a university website. You're not going to learn much via a cable late-night talk show. In fact, watch one of the Kratt Brothers' cartoons and you'll learn more than you would even if Conan wasn't talking--more time devoted to just the one subject. For pete's sake. What else would you possibly expect? Haha.

+Jason Lee No, it probably just went as far as it could and decided to stay away from the loud humans and 'act dead.' I'm pretty sure it was able to go backwards (otherwise in the wild they'd go extinct quickly) but that must be more difficult then forward, so that could've been part of it too.
