I felt like that with Solidus too. Think of him what you will but nothing makes me angrier than feeling like a puppet on a string but that's exactly what I was for that fight.

After he's been showered with accolades and granted the title Big Boss, he's standing alone at the cemetery in Arlington, and you feel the rage and emptiness consuming him. And it's in this quiet moment that everything, EVERYTHING is set in motion. Outer Heaven. Les Enfants Terrible. Metal Gear. ALL of it becomes cemented into inevitability in this private moment. I’m not gonna lie. This moment got me all the time. I can’t even describe how many emotions it makes you go through. You feel sad for the boss, at the same time happy that she succeeded her mission, you’re disgusted for what the people whose BB shakes hands with did to the boss, but you understand that it was for everybody’s own good, and at the end of it, you feel stupid when big boss starts crying on the graveyard and you realize the good guy wasn’t who he thought. It’s not Solid Snake, nor Big Boss in fact.
Only this game. Canonicaly the whole franchise started here and basicly everybody who knows MGS even a little sees it as the START of the story. The Patriots where formed because of what happened here..

I think Big Boss after finding out how corrupt the government in his country was, to at first try to attemtp to get the philosophers legacy and then send in Snake to kill his mentor and friend. It kinda sent him off to think of them who did this as the enemy and he would later on hate them.
You forgotten the classic "mg's" = 1 and 2... and the jump from the technologys of the systems about the years, if you play the ingame-story... the complete experience of the puzzle... it's a masterpiece... ♡♡♡♡♡ [♡♡].. and just a few people has understand it ;)... it's very deep and smart...it is hideo!
I know I am biased as I love the metal gear solid series. But this has to be the greatest ending to any video game. Of all time. It was built up, it was emotional, it was sad and perfectly executed. Nothing comes close.
Oddly enough, this track is true to an actual military debriefing. As there are soldiers that may not return home alive, but gave their lives to protect the freedoms we so lavishly carry on day to day. So this is more than just for the Boss, but ALL PATRIOTS that are loyal to the end; to their missions, and to themselves. >.

In the 33 years of my life there have been 4 times that I have cried from watching something so emotionally powerful that i believe you have to be made of stone not feel it. 1st. Was the first Pokémon movie when Ash died and all the Pokémon cried. 2nd. Was Naruto's birth and his parents final moments. 3rd. Was the FF7 moment we all know of. This part of the game and the Cemetery when he salutes was the 4th.
Totally amazing game, totally awesome soundtrack. I've been playing video games since the mid 80's and always viewed them as just that - games. This is not a game, it's an experience. The blending of the storyline with the soundtrack borders on pure genius - and yes, I'm a 40 odd year old bloke and I DID cry at the end - and am in no way too embarrassed to admit it !
I love how the last part starts to build up; like this is the moment the Big Boss we knew about and fought in the earlier games is truly born. Fantastic ending to a phenomenal experience.

Mgs3 for the story, Mgs5 for the gameplay, Mgs4 for a bit of both. Mgs1/2 for the classic experience.
You forgotten the classic "mg's" = 1 and 2... and the jump from the technologys of the systems about the years, if you play the ingame-story... the complete experience of the puzzle... it's a masterpiece... ♡♡♡♡♡ [♡♡].. and just a few people has understand it ;)... it's very deep and smart...it is hideo!

My favorite part starts at 5:10 I wish it was longer.
I know I am biased as I love the metal gear solid series. But this has to be the greatest ending to any video game. Of all time. It was built up, it was emotional, it was sad and perfectly executed. Nothing comes close.

Oddly enough, this track is true to an actual military debriefing. As there are soldiers that may not return home alive, but gave their lives to protect the freedoms we so lavishly carry on day to day. So this is more than just for the Boss, but ALL PATRIOTS that are loyal to the end; to their missions, and to themselves. >.
True but how many of those patriots are told to play traitor and then after an international incident told they were to go through thier previous mission, but they were to be killed at the hands of their protege?

In the 33 years of my life there have been 4 times that I have cried from watching something so emotionally powerful that i believe you have to be made of stone not feel it.
1st. Was the first Pokémon movie when Ash died and all the Pokémon cried.
2nd. Was Naruto's birth and his parents final moments.
3rd. Was the FF7 moment we all know of.
This part of the game and the Cemetery when he salutes was the 4th.
Oh man, that scene in the Pokemon movie. I saw it in cinemas and cried my heart out lol

Totally amazing game, totally awesome soundtrack. I've been playing video games since the mid 80's and always viewed them as just that - games. This is not a game, it's an experience. The blending of the storyline with the soundtrack borders on pure genius - and yes, I'm a 40 odd year old bloke and I DID cry at the end - and am in no way too embarrassed to admit it !

メタルギアは不朽の名作。
I love how the last part starts to build up; like this is the moment the Big Boss we knew about and fought in the earlier games is truly born. Fantastic ending to a phenomenal experience.
