- On the 2nd of January, a dear friend of mine passed away. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his support and friendship over the years. My deepest condolences and thoughts goes to his family. This video is dedicated to him. A Shining Light, Even In Death.. May he Rest in Peace.

Every day a lot of people die. It doesn't hurt as long as we do not know these people. But just a name, or the fact that he was important to someone, makes his death way more sad for us. I never knew your friend, but i hope he got what we all deserve after death. A peace.

24 years old.. too young.. I'm sorry for your loss, I've cried while reading all the comments in buskerud and listening to this..
The pain of losing a loved one is different than alot of different kinds of emotional pain, for me it took a few days to sink in, that's why at first I thought I'd be okay. When it did happen, I cried for a few days, I knew I had to move on and nothing would bring them back but that only made it slightly easier to deal with. I'm okay now but the pain never goes away, you just get used to feeling it all the time. What important is finding a reason to live on in spite of that pain, don't waste the gift of life waiting around in sorrow, if we do that we die before we are dead.

I’m sorry for your loss.
Lost my mother when I was 16. Had to watch her struggle for air every breath as her lungs slowly gave in everyday till she did finally pass. The Boss’s ideology always echoed my moms wiccan,hippie/60s child of love philosophy. At a young age the final speech The Joy gave us didnt go over my head. It hit very close to home. When I replayed after losing mom I could hardly get through it. Idk how long I sat trying to bring myself to press the god damn square button…
We all are a story easy to forget, but our acts are the ones which becomes legends and keep along the time, bye soldier.

I am so sorry for your loss. You'll always carry the spirit of your friend with you wherever you go and no matter what, no one can take that away from you. No one. I know it must be hard, with a few months having past but I understand if it still hurts. I am still trying to get over a loss I had in my family. It has been a year and a half and I'm still grieving. Take all the time you need my friend and as much as it hurts to go through the day at times, remember your friend is with you in spirit, making you stronger each day.

My Gerbil named Raiden passed away in his sleep today. I just gave him a burial at sea. Now I'm sitting in my gaming chair feeling lost, listening to this. He had grey fur the color of Raiden's hair and red eyes that reminded me of Ripper mode. You will truly be missed, my little 4 legged buddy, Raiden. I didn't know what to say, so as my final words to him, I said "I am Lightning, the rain transformed."

Just recently a guitar tutor passed away from diabetes, and despite my relatively short time with him, I’d say he had a lasting impact on me... While he never had an interest in video games, I was always debating whether to bring him some MGS songs to work with.

My beloved dragon companion passed away a few days ago. My lifelong best friend, one I raised, grew up alongside, and have been forever molded by the memories he's given me.
My little man, Skittles, has seen me play all the metal gear games at least a dozen times each. At his funeral, I played your video for him during the burial process. I'm sure he would have recognized at least one of the songs in here.

I don't know you and I don't know your friend. However, I do know Metal Gear !! I was in the mood for some MGS Soundtracks and came across this video by chance. I spent many hours on the earlier MGS titles. It was my escape and my entertainment. Who can ever keep up with such an interwoven storyline? The Patriots, La Le Lo Lai Lao, The Philosophers Fund, Red Cell, Liquid-Solid & Solidus Snake, Black Ops, Dog Tags, Hidden cutscenes and conversations with Spy Mic, getting pissed on and the list goes on.
