It's an incredible Trad Jazz theme from a beloved release. I truly love Mario Paint so much. It was my first introduction to music software with it's built in composer function, and it came with a mouse?? For your TV?? Truly a mind blowing piece of creative software at the time. Here's how it would sound if it were the end credits theme for a mid century TV sitcom :)
One Minute Bytes is our series of short videos dedicated to melodies and themes from within video games that deserve to be arranged even if they might not be the main theme of said game. Hope you enjoy these small, sharable, bite sized chunks of video game music!

"The 8-Bit Big Band" is a 30-65 member Jazz/pops orchestra that formed to celebrate and realize some of the best themes from video game music from all consoles and eras arranged in a large ensemble Jazz/Pop/Rock setting!
Blending together timeless musical themes from Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, and more then re-arranging them in genres and styles of all musical inspirations, The 8-Bit Big Band has members from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers.

I don't know if "Uncle Mario's Comedy Hour" even exists, but this reminds me of Walt Disney's 1975/1979 films "The Apple Dumpling Gang" and "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again".

The One Minute Bytes are amazing; they always leave me wishing for a fuller version of the song, even if the reality is that's impractical. Still, that's how good they are.
I think these shorter tunes have the most potential for expanding on creatively! I'd love to hear these built out into full-length songs, even if it requires an extensive amount of creative liberties. :D

I mean, some of these have been turned into full songs, like Spring Yard and Gourmet Race. It’s not entirely impossible to get full versions of some of these
They remind me a lot of old ass big band recordings where they'd only have so much time on the record to fit as many charts as possible so they do real short & sweet charts like this.

@@edwardcannon9199 Yes, but the loop function on this video also includes the outro with silence, so this would need to be edited and thus, I would prefer to loop this through VirtualDJ8 or any DJ software program to do proper looping and such.....Just saying.

Was the woodblock recorded separately, and added in edit? I heard it, and there was a video cut of Jared, but he wasn't playing woodblock. I enjoyed the video cuts of Charlie playing bass alone in the room, to kind of acknowledge that discrepancy of having him both conducting and playing bass. Great arrangement! AND great video editing!
Yeah the woodblock was me recording from home haha some of the extra percussion and synths in our covers I do as sweetener tracks in post
