    You sir, can go to sleep peacefully knowing this video has helped so many out there. I’ll be tackling the rebuild myself with the Hanlon motor sports rebuild kit. I forgot to mention as well: the very rear gear on the counter shaft has some up and down play, don't remember if that's normal or if it should be snug? Spacers and whatnot are in place so I'm thinking normal but I'm playing safe than sorry.

    I am so thankful for you and your video. I just swapped a 4R75W auto with a T45 in my Crown Vic Interceptor. Its going down the road, but you hear a roar-roar when you're in second and turning in a parking lot looking for a parking spot. And just the other night I noticed it has a slight complaint shifting from 3to4. Please don't take this video down til after the first of the year.

    Best video, hands down!! I have a t45 with a missing tooth on the cluster shaft,2nd gear drive gear is chipped, and my 5/r fork is broken. It’s a 96 model trans I have a 99 model that I’m going to rob those parts from since it was already torn into. I know the shift forks alone are an upgrade from the 96-99 models.. hopefully it all works out good! I just posted a video on it if ya wanna see what I’m working with and maybe leave some insight on what else you may see as an issue..

    • @v8only
      @v8only  2 года назад +1

      I watched the video. Yea for sure you’ll need the cluster shaft and 2nd. Make sure the input is good since the cluster had a bad tooth there. Hopefully your core gears aren’t too rusted. I clean my gear teeth with a wire wheel on a drill if necessary. Ultimate upgrade for those are the billet forks. Hanlon has them. They’re expensive, but that’s really the only weak point with those transmissions

    Very informative! First 5 minutes answered 100% of my questions. Im trying to swap a 98?ish tailshaft case onto an 01 trans that was incorrectly put into my 04 car toninght. Stupid stuff I know. It's the only way to make my digital speedo work without running a TR3650. Car came with a broken speedo and odometer (digital). Easy fix I had thought! Probably just the cable. Nope big pain in the butt! In 01 they had a different speed sensor port for the the digital sensor and I'll have to swap that there plastic gear out for an 01's magnetic reluctor wheel for the digital readout. I'd go back to the tr3650 but somebody I believe already had modified the crossmember to make the T45 fit? Idk I've been cruising in it with a CEL and using a GPS for a year now. Seems to be fine aside from 2 snapped clutch cables. Not sure if that upset the ECU in any way tho?

    @v8only Hey brother I'm looking for a little advice before I take an entire transmission apart. I have a Keisler RS600 brand new never used, if you're not familiar built on the T45 platform, its stuck in 2nd gear. Around 57min you say twist input and output to make sure it didn't fall into another gear before putting the torx pin back in the top. I'm wondering what my process should be to try and get it out of 2nd gear? Can I pull that to try and get it out of 2nd of do I need to basically disassemble this whole thing?

    • @v8only

      Usually a trans sticks in gear when there is an issue with a broken key or shift fork. I do remember keisler! If it isn’t coming out of second gear on its own don’t force it. Try taking the front off and looking inside to see if you can get a visual on it
