Even though you know the cars are natural drifters, you are never really prepared for when it first happens. It still takes you by surprise and your heart skips a few beats.
This happened to me on a BUSY RAINY grated bridge in my 90 300ZX! And absolutely no one stopped 😅
This is why you ease off the throttle coming to a bridge in freezing weather. Just enough throttle to overcome wheel bearing drag. 100% of your traction will keep you going straight every time.

I did exactly the same skid like that but on a bicycle, completely upright, but just sliding along sideways expecting to fall off any second, but just kept sliding somehow until I stopped, and was fine. It felt like a miracle.

This is exactly what happened to me at 120 kmh/h and slight rain. No throttle just normal driving. Changed from stock Bridgestone to continental and never had that issue again

I knew I was pushing it. A LOT. But it was otw home from work and I was tired and missing the mrs😂

Old tires will do that i had minimal issues with Nankangs on my 370z owner slapped big 20s didn't like it so I fit up Nankangs always had black ice in Seattle area never slipped like this white one though

@@KKKornrowKenny I traded my 2003 350Z in for a 2005 STi. That's when I learned how bad summer times were. LOL, I had an old station wagon beeping behind me on an icy road because I couldn't go fast due to literally swerving left and right while trying to go straight. I went right to NTB and got a set of Blizzaks. They were effing amazing. I remember, I think it was that winter in 2005, a guy was trapped at the bottom of a hill stuck in the snow and as I am disapproaching he's waving me "stop don't do it go get stuck!!!" because we just got it late maybe a foot of snow in Berks, PA. I BLEW past him and continue all the way up the hill. It was hysterical!! If you can picture it in slow motion, as I was approaching he's looking at me and as I'm right at him passing his head turns slowly looking right at me with a shot you look for his face like "OMG". So sorry for the rain but I totally agree with your comment but when I read it that memory popped in my mind and I couldn't help but laugh. The reason I recommend it all seasons instead of going right to a pair of blizzaks is I don't know where he lives maybe Frozen bridges aren't that common you know? Anyway, if you live in a climate that happens often like PA, I totally agree with you. Take care! P.S. sorry if there's any typos I'm at work so I had to use the voice recognition.
