I see clonegrim has the Sons of the Phoenix with him. How generous are those marines that are most certainly the gene-sons of Rogal Dorn and nobody else, that they would offer their soldiers to this Primarch that shares the exact same hue of Purple by pure coincidence and nothing else.
It's entirely possible that Fulgrimx2 drauma just kind of happened while they were in the area : )

I could honestly see Gulliman stumbling into Trazyn's museum and try negotiating with him Clonegrim's freedom. Unfortunately, that happens only in a world where GW doesn't abandon every interesting idea they set up.

That's an awesome idea! The dialogue would be so nice but what would he negotiate with? I don't really see Guilliman holding any advantages in that situation, more like Trazyn would add another primarch to he's collection

@@PaperiLiidokki It is true Gman has barely anything to negotiate with him, but I do think he has some options considering Trazyn is a true historian at his cold metal heart. Perhaps sharing forbidden secrets of the Imperium and the Emperor, or maybe trade him relics from a forbidden vault on Terra, or maybe if we go into extremes, he could offer a few planets as compensation. However, I think the best card he could play would be offering to team up to capture the real demon Fulgrim. A legion of Astartes and Necrons marching into the pleasure palace to find the real primarch, as well as numerous Eldar artifacts I imagine Trazyn would very much like in his possession. Trazyn would have the legitimate original Primarch in his gallery, and Imperium would take the pure warp-clean clone.
Fulgrim's soul is in the Warp with Ferrus. That Serpentine Atrocity isn't him.
Sadly it is him. You can thank GW for asking Graham McNeil to "retcon" the end of HH:Fulgrim with it's shitty sequel. A short novel in wich you learn that Fulgrim took back his body and...choose to be a dickhead anyway. First time I screamed in front of a book

I think Fulgrims soul now resides in the clone body, but i agree the winged Laer abomination isn't Fulgrim. I stand by my take that the Laer blade Deamon eventually convinced itself that it was in fact Fulgrim, like a deranged method actor. There was no reason that 'Fulgrim' would ever adopt a 'perfect' body so similar to a Laer unless it was one.
@@pgael7196 unless this has been retconned two halves of fulgrims soul exist. his noble, glorious, loyal brave part of his soul attached itself to his clone, which is why it has a primarchs presence . the other, corrupted hedonistic part of his soul due to the strong influence of the laer blade + slaanesh exists in his demonic form. i cant recall when the loyal part of his soul was expunged tho.

I like how when he says “we have everything we could ever want” there is a slight change to his voice. There was a crack in his facade because his clone spoke a truth, similar to how when Rylanor died in defiance of Fulgrim. He might be immune to most physical attack but spiritual and metaphysical attacks wound him deep and leave flaws in his “perfect form”

Terrified, the demon sees his clone stand up while a phalanx of burning specters materialize next to him, led by a faceless specter with golden arms. Ships from the Sons of the Phoenix chapter arrive from orbit, guided by an immeasurable light in time to observe and choose whether or not to intervene in the war that was beginning again.

I do find it kind of funny how inconsistent the lore writers can be.
Vulkan aside, it can feel like a mighty primarch will be able to tank all sorts of horrendous wounds one story, but then die from a comparative scratch in the next one.
And speaking of which.
I would love to see a squeal where Vulkan runs up and sends corrupted Fulgrim flying with his thunder hammer.
Besides Vulkan, Fulgrim was the "tankiest" @@chubbyninja89. IIRC he regenerated from half his face being shot off after tanking bolt round with his head.

It would be such a unique twist:
Clonegrim gets freed and converts some ec back to loyalists.
So on the table top, you can now play traitor and loyalist ec alike.
But ofcourse this can only be done with the ec.
If it happens to the other traitors too, then it's nothing unique about it anymore
Actually would love to see that if EC ends up being the feature enemy of 11th. Both loyalist and demon fulgrim drop as the big sells for both sides with a whole new loyalist legion

No I think converted/saved trators should be their own effective faction. We have morty also being stated to be able to be saved so I have no doubt agron could be somehow and a sharp of magnus could be his. So a small faction of the 4 of them and some loyalist would be cool
So Clonegrim escapes from Trazyn, possibly with Creed in tow and leads the Sons of the phoenix against Daemon Fulgrim. His Goal? Somewhere in the Emperors children’s Flagship is a painting containing the Tattered remnants of the uncorrupted portion of his soul that his original self abandoned.
Without the soul that was handcrafted for him by the emperor, Clonegrim will never feel like the genuine article, just a soulless knock off. If he can take the soul he’ll have more of a claim to being the true Fulgrim than the Daemonic original does.
Whether this desire to be complete is a character flaw remains to be seen but in Clonegrim eyes he’ll never truly be able to redeem himself until he actually has his soul back.
At least, that’s the direction I think a Clonegrim story may go.

I love how the Sons of the Phoenix fight with clone Fulgrim.
At least the clone faced his end with pride instead of giving in to degeneracy like the original.😺
Besides Vulkan, Fulgrim had greatest regenerative abilities from all the primarchs. Im sure he will get up.

This could be one of the best story lines we could get if GW gets thier shit together like the clone doesnt even have to succeed and can die at the end but the moral battle between him and fulfrim would be to die for, though we would need a feasible reason for how clonegrim got out of trazyns collection

Clonegrim was just epic here, he had a discipline, maturity and regalness that the original Fulgrim did not have even when he had before his his fall to chaos and contrasted with his "Brother" in a awesome way. I hope they bring him back into the story because if would present some awesome storytelling potential, that being he struggles with the fact that he is nothing but a copy and suffers from having all the awful memories of the original but has the benefit of learning from the mistakes of his forbearer, lots of existential drama right there . If they play it right, they can turn Clonegrim into the Duncan Idaho of WH40k. Also well done was that Fulgrim gave off a strong Joker vibe here, which fits his character as a Daemon prince.
The legions of the Nihilakh dynasty are about to be mobilized once Trazyn finds out what happened to his limited edition Pre-Heresy Fulgrim clone.
One of the coolest twists in HH was the real fulgrim being trapped in a painting only to be retconned in a short story.
Oh the gutless cold feet and missed opportunities.
The fulgrim clone could have been the REAL fulgrim released then v deamon fulgrim.

Never ceases to crack me up how easily Fulgrim is triggered in everything he's in.

they go with anticipation of sweet and pleasurable time and out of nowhere get absolutely obliterated in a fiery explosion
Fulgrim turns and sees a gigantic marine engulfed in fire with a missing head and wielding a verry familiar blade , after all , he made it himself
there was no doubt in his mind , in front of him stood the once his dear brother
"Ferrus? ... i killed y..." the warrior attacked swiftly , catching Fulgrim by surprise with his speed and throwing him a good distance
the warrior was upon him in an instant , so swift was he that he was looking he was teleporting on short distance to close the gap
Fulgrim dogged a strike that would have took his head clean off by a thread of hair , just to be kicked in the chest and be dragged on the ground
"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU BROTHER? You lost your head?" he tried to taunt him , composing himself and took a battle stance
they clashed , warrior paring multiple blade attacks and dodging overhead strikes that would have cut him in half
in the end Fulgrim martial prowess was astonishing , managing to put all four sword in the warrior chest , one directly in the hart
"SUCH A PLEASURE TO KILL YOU AGAIN BROTHER" but the there was a pause
the warrior grabbed the hand that pierced his hart and shove it deeper to hear an empty armor and with the other hand smacked Fulgrim square in the face
Fulgrim laid on the ground picking himself off face broken , jaw hanging off his cheek , nose beading . enraged he look at the warrior prepared to end him
but something was different , he now seemed off , only to realize that he held back , that he wanted to ruin him , and now Fulgrim felt like a little bird in front of a massive gorgon
scared he started to flee , he wanted to fly away just to realize the warrior cut his wings in the earlier encounter
he began to crawl away barking orders to his sons to cover his retreat and prepare extraction immediately just to feel a barrage a a roaring cannon obliterating his sons and putting him on the
ground
he looks back to see a contemptor dreadnought behind him , grabbing his tail and lifting him and smacking him a few times on the ground just to be thrown at the feet of the warrior
"UGH ... WHAT IS HE DOING HERE" he screamed referring to the dreadnought while picking himself slowly off the ground
"DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND , IM A GOD SO HOW CAN YOU ...." a sword priced his heat from the back while the warrior stabbed him in the front
the clone spoke "After all that talk about perfection , all your past mistakes came here to end you... as i sad ... you are pathetic "
Fulgrim fell on the ground and the last thing he saw was the boot of the warrior stomping his head.
the clone looked at the warrior , with his mission done he expected to meet his end , but the warrior just gave him his sword , took his hand and burned it , a burn that wont heal
composing himself and after the rush of the duel worn off , he hurried back to aid his sons , just to see an army of space marines , burning just like the warrior
they reinforced the clones warriors , providing cover and fire support were was needed , the clone threw a sigh of relief
"he will come back" said the warrior with a heavy tone
"when he does , make sure you do not need my help"
he and his warrior beginning to be engulfed in flames , and then , there was no sign of them , just the bodies of the traitors
the clone caught sight of the dreadnought right before he departed with his fellow warriors , and by some reason he felt that he nodded at him
"i wont fail you this time brother, i promise"
bad writing? the scenario popped in my mind as soon as the animation ended . might be a bit cheesy but i like the ending
I would love to see a MASSIVE headless damned marine walk up to clonegrim and help him up. Clonegrim realises who he is when he sees the sword the damned marine is using.
Now for episode 2 to see the real ending.
I think DeamonGrim would go into a fit of rage seeing the untouched, more perfect version of himself he could never be again
The fact Clone-grim is commanding the sons of the Phoenix is so perfect
Then Rylanor leading the Legion of the Damned rolls up and the fun really begins.

And then Damned legion Ferrus arrives and start his rematch with Chaos Prince fulgrim in defense of the clone. "I wont fail to save you now, brother"

Funnily enough, the first "instance" of Stockholm syndrome occurred because the police were incompetent when trying to save the hostages to the point both the hostages and hostage takers were just getting along, with the hostage takers even ordering pizza for their hostages. The police were so incompetent that the hostages felt safer with their captors and psychologists started making up a diagnosis to try and justify why the hostages liked their captors.

Needs a follow up where Guilliman helps Clonegrim back to his feet, then the two of them double team Snakegrim…
…which also wouldn’t be work, at least not until Legion of The Damned Ferrus is is summoned onto the battlefield by the Emperor, to turn the tide of battle and tell Clonegrim he is forgiven.
Now I wanna get a 30k Fulgrim model and paint him in the sons of the phenoix paint scheme.
I hope to live long enough to see GW doing something with Clonegrim
I wish they'd actually do something with the perfect Fulgrim clone.
There's so much potential for him that's simply wasted by having him stuck in Trazyn's collection.

With this skull I summon, *DOOMSLAYER!*
True Fulgrim would hammer the Laer Deamon mockery, which displayed only utter sloppiness in its 'perfect' combat prowess.
Their entire conversation is 95% banter. Despite the fundamental seriousness of the situation, they talk, offer pleasantries, counter and negotiate.
And it all comes down to a single sentence where Fulgrim acknowledges all of his own wretched misery, pain and attempt to compensate for them. Acknowledges it, but does not veer from it.
Bridges burned, faith set, suffering and misery to be carried till its conclusion.
That's not true. In the most important moment of the battle there are some paranormal fire, from which arrived 2 figures: the primarch and the dreadnought....

Wake up clonegrim: is not the hour of your death yet
The Emperor:
MY SWEET uncorrupted BABY BOY
*Clonegrim starts levitating in golden light*
Then suddenly a 10+foot Legion of the Damned marine with lava hands, a massive hammer, a burning sword, and a burning pyre for a head appears, reviving Clonegrim. Then he and the Daemon Primarch stare at each other blankly. A sense of familiarity and disbelief shared among the two. “Go” I tells the clone, “Lest you wish to fight me for the right to kill him.”
Fulgrim is bsing clonegrim until he realises that clonegrim isn't just a clone, he really is him. Thats his soul, his mind before it was corrupted.
Unfortunately, Fulgrim failed himself above all. Hence he kills himself with ease.
I like the idea of rylanor being returned by the emperor as a living Saint. And showing up to the clonegrim/snakegrim battle as snakegrim has the upper hand. Then snakegrim completely freaks out allowing clonegrim to get the upper hand and land a decisive blow against snakegrim. Snakegrim, suddenly isn't regenerating anymore due to the wound rylanor left on his pride. In the end, snakegrim dies, and clonegrim is mortally wounded. The laer blade whispers to clonegrim, begging him to take it, telling him it can save him. But he rejects it, saying something meaningful. "Corruption can never taint perfection" or "I know where this choice leads, and I will not allow myself to be tainted again."
“At least I’ll be alive to remember them.” The prince stated confidently. It turned it’s back, pride swelling at another ‘Primarchs’ defeat at it’s hands.
“No.” A familiar voice caused the deamon to pause and turn. A tinge of rage and fear over coming as it watched the ‘clone’ rise, golden light spilling from the eyes and wounds. “Your sentence is inherently false my son. You have not been alive for a very long time.”
THIS...except clonegrim should win
I'd say, Clone Fulgrim should lose, right up until LotD Ferrus Manus comes out of nowhere with an iron chair, beats Fulgrim over the head, then gives Clone Fulgrim a hand up and, together, they beat the brakes off of Fulgrim while wreathed in the Emperor's golden flames.

Genuinely though, not a chance. He demonstrates that resting on your laurels and becoming sloppy when not at risk for a long time fit in the shadow of pursued perfection.

This was a nice change. Seeing fulgrim as a good guy for one
If Clone!grim has to go down, I think this is a good way to do it, with him really twisting the knife of 'you're just doing this because you're scared to be loved despite your inperfections.' That said, I really hope one day we get Clone!grim beating Demon!grim in a redemption equals death scenario, and Clone!grim having an "I'm you but better" moment--because it would be so, so fitting. Fulgrim fell because he was chasing perfection like a drug. To have this other version come up to him and say that, with the emphasis on 'better', not perfect, would be **chef's kiss**
Everyone wants Fulgrim Revived, to get up from that horrible stab wound. They want a continuation.
I’d love to see a reintroduction of Clonegrim from Guillimans perspective running in on him fighting Fulgrim

This Fulgrim clone is perfect, so he's just going to regenerate and give the damned snake either a suplex or the Primarch Special.
I like that all the clones of Fulgrim still have loyalty and morality. He is and was a peacock but he was gloriously the Emperors son before chaos took him.

Fullgrim might have lost everything and have been replaced by a demon, but neither the demon or Fullgrim are going to be able to achieve one thing: forgetting the legendary beat Rogal Dorn gave him.
