I have gotten most of the code wands, Camel, Magic Carpet, 2 Aquilan Chariots but the one I want most is T Rex, that eludes me. Maybe one day I'll try again but it was so disheartening after fishing for it for so long, my friend ported to me and she got it in about 5 mins.

I've fished a total of 5 perm mounts (chariot, battle narwhal, 2 camels. and the magic carpet) and I love fishing for perm mounts so I thought I would add some extra info -Before anyone asks the narwhal took me about 10 hours to get with unlimited fishing - I found that the best lure to use at the nomad camp is fire instead of myth. I've tested both multiple times and I just seem to get more with fire - I'm currently fishing for the arcane minecart and I can definitely say the death fish have a much higher chest chance than the storm and myth fish - The great hornocerous mount may also be able to be fished since I have a picture on my phone from about a year ago from in game that says it can be gotten from fishing, but like the gryphon it could have been a mistake or it could still be a thing, I just haven't tested it out yet - I typically get 1-2 perm mounts per unlimited fishing event - I actually managed to fish the camel before the wiki said you could get it from fishing so I was quite surprised, so its highly possible the griffon and hornocerous can be gotten from fishing
Do the mounts have different drop rates? Is it harder to get the narwhal vs the others?? I just recently got back into the game, and back when I played I was too young to actually understand anything, so I'm a complete noob to things like fishing😭

Tip! If you can walk in the pond you can use reveal and then scare off all the fish that are of a undesirable school, it’s slower than winnow and isnt always a option, but doesn’t use energy!
I got the Malorian Dragon by accident. I was trying to fish for a chest so I could get a Sylvia Drake bobblehead to pair with my Malistaire. No complaints here, and now I'm off to find more mounts on purpose.
Wow! Thanks! This helped so much. I rode my chestnut pony for a year and then got a moonlight panthera from mostly trivia question crowns! Yeah that took a long time :l Now I finally have a change to get something else. And I never knew you could get mounts from fishing, wow.

i never made it out of wizard city when i played as a kid but i recently picked the game back up to experience it in its entirety. as soon as my 1 day broomstick expired i began looking for free permanent mounts. i was able to pick up the aquilan dual chariot in only an hour and a half without winnow fish or buoy chests thanks to the info you provided here. i'll fish for a more fitting mount when i have the proper spells but for now i'm grateful to have one at all

It literally took me more time and energy to do the Avalon fishing quests than it took to fish an Aquilan Chariot. Took me like 300 energy just to get the Sea Fairy (that Epic life fish)... But only 3 ice fish in the acropolis pond to get the mount lol, with every ice fish being a chest.
This video helps so much! Very well put together. Thank you for this. Other videos were so confusing, this is the best by far. Been trying to get a few fishable items & mounts. Once I save up some more gold for fishing spells and get through Azteca, I think I'm golden to start fishing for these!
Finally after like 200 Chests in The Acropolis I got the perm mount. I used Buoy Chest 1, Then Reveal School Fish, then used the Tier 3 Ice Lure on all the Ice Fish. Got a chest every single time.

They also added a number of weekly events if you're interested in that type of thing - pretty much all of the events have free to play options if you just want to check them out. While not all perfect, I think the game is heading in a pretty good direction. They also just updated Pirate101! Might be worth popping in just to see what you think.
For mounts I just bought crowns and bought one. That's pretty much the only use for crowns that I'd use. The rest can be easily gotten through other methods. I don't have a ton of patience for fishing XD.
I spent 2 full days trying to get the swiftshadow wings during 0 fishing time. I am still scarred from when I saw my I got a mount and it was the bat wings
If you are that person who wants a free permanent mount but is tired of the gold ones, and wants to be slightly unique while not having XXX hours of time, I would go for Aquilan dual chariot mount. It took me 2 fish to get, literally 1 minute, though I got lucky. I did try to fish in botanical gardens and gotta say, it was a grind. Took me 25 hours to get the cutie of a mount, and got none of the two wands you can fish for there, my friend also fished for the celestial wlf there and got it hahaha only in like 12ish hours but also didnt get a wand. So fish at these locations at your own risk

So I spent a couple weeks grinding for a mount, terrible luck. I got 2 pets I wasn't looking for, which was cool, but no mount. Then I do a rattlebones master duel, literally first try I get a permanent mount. So I figure, what the heck, I'll try fishing up a mount and if I run out of energy I'll drop it. I got the Aquilan chariot on my second chest. Also for those wondering if it's still possible to get mounts this way, this occurred in September 2024.
It's also worth mentioning I got the aqulian chariot in less than 15 minutes. In 2017 a friend told me he got my aquilian chariot i bought, from fishing so I threw an ice lure in just to humor what i thought was his delusion and i got it on a whim
I still have a Zafarian Palace bundle home from 2012, and I’ve got a weird memory I’m probably misremembering where I personally fished up a magic carpet Mount from it. So I want to think some of the mounts you can get don’t have to correspond with the castle.
Hey zaepha, I’ve been enjoying the vids:) i saw on a previous upload someone asked about a rat spin video, but you wanted to wait for king borr release (which has now been out for some time). are you still planning to do that video? ive been heavily contemplating crafting vs spellements 😫
I've been putting it off simply because I've been praying they might patch in better drop rates for the spellements from King Borr. They are abysmal - so the short answer is you probably are better off crafting it at the moment. A lot of people have been complaining about the drop rates so maybe some time soon they will increase the spellement drops, but for now, it's pretty rough either way. Until something changes I'm probably going to hold off on the video :(
In nomads camp the chest rate isn’t going to be crazy high even with buoy chests. You should expect maybe 3-5 chests per fish refresh if you’re winnowing the pond down to a single school of fish, more if you’re fishing up everything in the pond. Are you using buoy chests first and then your other spells? I can confirm the flute wand drops there since I’ve gotten it personally, but it did take me like 4 hours to get. Good luck! I know it can be frustrating sometimes.
@@Zaepha I used chest spell first and than winnowing spell max I get is 2 chest which is rare mostly it's one or nothing all I get is pharaox fish or whatever it is
You can always try another fish school if the one you’re fishing isn’t working for you? I got everything from that area with myth lures, but I believe death fish are also pretty plentiful there if you want to try mixing it up. Keep trying and you’ll get it eventually
I wonder if we can fish for the fox mount from the outlaws refuge I was able to get gear there, boots hat and robe , so i was wondering if the mount is also fishable
some one know if you can still drop the mount 2 years later? because am trying for a while now to drop the celestial wolf ....if i drop it i will come back here and comment
Yep! Chests aren't restricted to any particular school, so you can fish for them with any lures, but it tends to be easiest to fish for them with a lure from whatever school of fish is the most plentiful in the area. Like if a pond has mostly death and fire fish, you'd probably want to fish with a death or fire lure. The only exception to this is in the Acropolis house where the ice fish shadows tend to be chests far more often than any other school.

You can also do the voyage gauntlet and then end will give you free fishing luck elixir.

It should! I just showed the hidden one for people who don’t know where to find it. I find it’s the easiest place to fish.

If you right click the great hornocerus (Super bundle mount) it says it's fishable
