He made too bad of a name for himself nationally. I think he's dope. But he was wild to a different level. All rock stars did crazy/potentially illegal things, but he was a career criminal and didn't socially do himself too many favors 😂 long live Paycheck. Heartfelt, straightforward, honest lyrics.
Ahh great stuff to see! The great Johnny Paycheck really stole this show. My favorite guy Waylon, sadly misses the mark on his performance I thought. A little bit lazy, unrehearsed, even flustered. He did indicate 'he was late?'... Whatever the case, it seems very thrown together at last minute, and it shows. Completely different energy. Nothing like his 'killer' performance on Austin City Limits from around this time, where he was fore front with his trademark Telecaster pickin' too. Thanks for the upload, good to see some fresh new/old footage from these legends.
Johnny Paycheck was the best, he should be in the Hall of Fame!! Love his live performances, wish there were more!!
It's like the Rock Hall of Fame. Plenty of people in there that don't deserve it, and plenty who should be that aren't.
