I live in West Virginia right off of the Hatfield McCoy trails and I just don't get why people would want to beat their bikes up like this and it doesn't even look fun I've been riding dirt bikes my whole life and I like logging trails but there's just so much better wide open riding you can do in these mountains but I guess to each their own that just looks like frustrating and
Yep to each their own, this style of riding takes a different type of skill, a lot more control of your bike than just wide open logging trails, also alot less chance of getting severely hurt doing single track as the speeds are not near as high@johnwayne7128
Johnwayne....it's hard to explain. I don't understand why people won't to wait in line and pay $100 plus to watch pro sports with 80,000 people....but I'm sure they enjoy it.
The camera never does the terrain justice 😂 She does really good on the Beta 200. I’m currently riding the Beta 200 and I’m trying to talk my wife into jumping from her TE150i to the Beta 200! I think the extra torque would really help her. How long have y’all been riding?
Yes the extra torque will prevent some stalls and definitely help out ! She's been on a bike since 2018 started out on xcw-150 . I started 2017 on 250 exc-f
We played around on that hill up to 198 a couple months ago, but didn't go high enough to find out that it connected! So cool. I always liked the left exit to 177 with the narrow rocky section -- felt like the only singletrack part of the whole trail
Yeah 177 shouldn't even be named a trail lol. I thought that climb up to 198 from the double track was pretty cool too! Thanks for watching and appreciate the comment ! 👊🏻
I had to go back and watch some more this looks like I would need to be on Xanax after a couple hours of this Friday I like to run trails at like 30 40 50 miles an hour and have views all around..lol
Please tag Hatfield’s hideout riverfront cabins and campground. It’s my best friends spot I helped build. And you have stayed and left good reviews in your videos. Please keep coming back. Thank you!!!
I've had their website linked in my description. Not sure how to tag them. We just made another video there last month I recently posted. It's our favorite spot ! Wonderful people and campground
Good stuff guys! I ride those trails twice a year with a group from Ohio. You are two are fun to watch. Not many couples can cooperate that well. That new 178 switch back is rough especially when wet. We ride that pipe on 171 or 172 with a foot on the pipe and a knee on the seat. What’s Beta is Chelsea riding?
@chromedime053 that's a good idea, I tried that before but couldn't get it and the bike ended up getting wedged and stuck between pipe and boulder. At 14:25 I turn left and go over the pipe, it meets back up to get back over the pipe and get back on the trail in about 60ft or so. I don't know how it would be when wet, but when I did when it was dry last fall it was much easier and less risk of damaging the bike.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing, makes me want to go back to HMT! At 14:25 there's another line down to the left i like to take. It's right where someone put a log next to the pipe. Check it out next time maybe you'll prefer that over the tight boulders?
We've squeezed between that big rock and the pipe to the left a few times is that what you mean? Or are going to the left of the pipe ? I like those rocks, like a fly to light. Appreciate your comments and checking out the channel ! 👊🏻
@@HardEnduroAppalachia loving the channel! Would be great to ride together some day, do you offer guides tours? I'm wanting to plan a trip down that way later this fall, coming down from Illinois. I meant going over the pipe before you get to the rocks. I'm a sissy when it comes to scratching my bike on rocks on purpose! I mean I'll do it if it's the only way but when my buddy found the alternate line we celebrated 🤣 but as you know, better cross those slick pipes at exactly 90 degrees perpendicular or completely deweight!
Love your channel, guys!! Great videos!!! Just went 178 last week for the first time! Had a friend pass the switch back, it started pouring and he blew is ACL/MCL after falling down the hill!🤦♂️. Crazy trail! Also, thoughts on the Sherco 300? Im gonna grab one this week, hopefully!
Question (also new to the channel)..how do yall like the Beta? Heavily considering getting one as its cheaper than a KTM and seems to be just a better option. East NC rider here looking to get more enduro friends to ride with lol. Most of my buddies only do mx
Hey ! Thanks for checking out our channel. We love the beta, I ride a 300 sherco 99% of the time but when I get on her Beta it's amazing the power that 200 puts out. Tracks well and gets amazing traction when I climb. Get one ! It won't disappoint
Really cool. Your wife is a beast on that bike. Very impressive. Good riding y'all. 👍👍
I agree ! Thanks for stopping by 👊🏻

Thank you! We enjoy the adventure 👊🏻
i’m new to your channel, gotta say, i LOVE that you and your lady ride together !! 🤘🖤🤘
Thank you!! We are super lucky! 👊🏻💨💨
Y'all are funny.
I was just there last week. Major props to you and the wife.. Most of the group I was with wouldn't even try half of those trails..
When you see it in person it changes things! Haha thanks man, appreciate it! Hope you all had a blast
It's always so much harder than it looks on screen.
Always!!!
Thank you on documenting the trails . Iv been trying to get out there for 2 years now.
Get out there! It's awesome trail. Thanks for watching 🎉

Heading here at the end of may! 3rd year....love it!
That looks really technical. Nice job, you two. Looks like a fun trail.
Good fun trail. We had a great ride !

We stayed at the Blue Goose Inn there in Matewan. Road some private stash the the Inn owner showed and then had a blast riding all those trails.
Y’all remind me of me and my wife !!! We’re 68 years old and still riding together!!! On side by sides now but still having a blast 😇😇😇 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
So cool. Ride together, stay together! ❤️
Awesome, we went there in the beginning of may
That looked like an epic day.
Best riding on the east imo
Pretty hard to beat ! I'll have to agree
Kudos, you are both doing it and doing it well 👍
🫡 appreciate the kind words !
Man you guys rocked it out! What bikes do you have? That was some hard riding for sure 👍🏽
@@jonmotes5406 sherco 300 and beta 200. Thanks !!

She's on a 2023 200 beta rr. Lol, yes those pipes are ice pipes 🤣

Need to hit that next time I go to Buffalo mountain. She rides good 🤙🏻
Do it! She's got some bike skills for sure

Oh no! I dealt with that in 2019. it's tough, but I recovered well! Love my Sherco ! Thanks for watching !
Great video my wife ride's with me we have talked about doing a trip there
Do it !! Thank you. We appreciate you all watching!
Rocks, roots, & ruts, add some mud & steep hills and it is a slog. Now at 70, not too fun for me. Great chemistry and way to keep charging thru.
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Nice video. Great trails. Chelsea can ride.
Thank you!! She definitely can ride
Awesome video! I know that a lot of work goes into it. The quality is superb! What software do you use for video editing?
Thank you for the kind words. I'm using plain old imovie on my MacBook! 👊🏻
Enduro rider here, any recommendations on what trails to avoid that are littered with SXS’s?
I gotta get.down there. Would love to bomb around with you guys some time
Maybe we can make that happen ! Dm us on Instagram
Just got me a 23 200re. Love it so far, how does she like hers
She loves it ! She's going to do a 1 year review here soon. Stay tuned !

@@HardEnduroAppalachia this has been my general consensus so far. And hell yeah man! The channel is great!
I need to find a moto chick who wants to live in an RV full time, travel, and just ride!!!!
I love her tee shirt ! She had a sweet bike until you dropped it 😂
Little nod to the dirt bike channel 😄. She can't have nothin nice around me.
What trails did you do?
I marked them in the time segments when you scroll thru the video. Thanks for watching!

Soon to be ! Thank you I couldn't agree more 😁
