The way this dude is speaking facts , literally just by listening to his content alone you could start and run a production company , I’m on that road 🔥🔥🔥🔥lots of love bro from South Africa
Good point on the email address. Another thing to add to that point is a lot of corporate email systems have an auto-filter to push gmail addresses and the like into spam.
I just moved into a video studio for my video production company in the US and you have really helped me so much with your content!! Please create more of these videos and I would love to become a part of your matrix bro and if you're ever in Atlanta GA you'd have a really great contact!

Hey Ross I found this video on my RUclips feed a few minutes ago and I’m super glad! Earlier this week, I finished my first ever video project and uploaded it here on RUclips (it’d be awesome if you checked it out!). Based on the experience I gained from this shoot and the feedback I’ve received in the past 3 days on Instagram and RUclips, I’ve decided to go all in and make this my profession. However I’ve been a fair bit befuddled as I couldn’t quite figure out what to do next. Your video has provided me with heaps of clarity. I’m gonna start building my portfolio website and begin reaching out to small businesses around me now. I’ll surely be binging your channel first, thank you so much for putting out such great advice, it makes a lot of sense. Best of luck!
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I started a drone production company last year and It's been pretty difficult for me to get it off the ground. I haven't finished the video yet but just wanted to say thank you for providing so much valuable information for free! I couldn't say thank you enough. Learning new stuff gets me excited to implement it in my own business!
Trust me when he said, he'll be providing a free knowledge that other people would charge tons or money? ( we wasn't lying) I've learned lot of from this video thanks for making this man You've got a long term subscriber
Alright Ross, thanks for this! Videography has always been a bit of a passion of mine and actually there's many parallels to this sort of business to my own (software engineering) in terms of how you would run them so it's interesting to see what you're doing as some of it seems to apply to my own type of business. Cheers!
This was very helpful. I've recently started doing these subscriptions services, and it was vindicating to see that you that you encourage the practice.
I can’t tell you how valuable this information has been to me. I’m so grateful for this. Im really looking forward to going through all the other material you have.

Ross! I've worked in the audio production business for the last six or seven years, and have launched multiple successful businesses. Loving your way of approaching things as I have used similar methods to scale a guitar teaching studio I built to solid six figures and long wait list. I've been working with video the last few years both as a hobby and for freelance work and am definitely looking at using it as an asset for my audio production company. Great content man! Loving your channel!
I really resonate with narrowing your core service offerings. I found when I started out a music studio as a multi instrumentalist I tried to teach guitar, piano, bass, music production. It was SOOOOO much work and stress. I stripped to just guitar focus for marketing and within a year I had 60 longterm clients every week.
Ive watched so many of these types of videos to build my creative agency and this honestly simply explained it, I benefited alot mate, thank you👏 watched your revent video, all the best on your company, it wont fail
Extremely valuable video. Business Overviews are definitely the 'foot in the door' moment. Repurposing content for cross platform delivery is a big upsell too.
What materials are needed and what type of software is needed? Also, what do you recommend as far as checking and un-checking boxes in customization of software if you was a musician looking to produce his own music videos at the same time you record a song or album?
I am looking to start my business this year. It was actually on my 2022 resolutions list so this video came into my feed at a great time and was so incredibly helpful to get my foothold in the industry. I live in a rural area in Iowa, USA where the market is definitely calling for somebody to show these businesses how to move into this century. Thank you for the advice and I subscribed so that I can hopefully get some more along my journey
I think you should do some more videos on speaking with customers without having a portfolio. That’s was the biggest hurdle for me when starting out. Even if I was offering pro Bono they would ask for previous works
Hi Ross. Those are very valuable tips. I've also us Google maps and Linked In to look for clients. Where I live, most small to mid-sized companies don't want to pay for services. They only find value on tangible things like machineries, computers, etc. This is why some companies that I like to offer my services to already do video themselves. They usually just give the job to someone in the marketing or HR department so they don't have to pay. How do I convince these companies to outsource video production? Thanks!
Hey! Thanks for the message! There are 2 options, look outside of your area or try and convince them. The best way of convincing them is to show them what you can do. Maybe ask how much would they be willing to pay too. You might not be miles apart 🤞

But this one slipped through the cracks because it was getting sorted out the night before the shoot and we didn't know if it was even gonna really happen until the day of... Don't risk a good long-term client to a freelancer unless they sign an NDA.
