If I fully charge it and don't want use anymore do I put in storage mode to put away?

Yes, put it in storage mode. It may time out the 1st time if the battery is fully charged. It may take 2 storage mode cycles to get the battery complete in storage mode. Do not go more than 3 days with it fully charged.
