Fire on the Mountain riff on new Alembic bass!

Got to play the new single cut Alembic bass on a recent visit to the Mothership. Started out playing with fingers, played some other basses too, then realized I need to pull out the picks I brought and play some Phil Lesh bass lines! This is one that got caught on video.

It is definitely one of my favorite Phil Lesh bass lines. A good live recording is even better because you get to hear Jerry Garcia weaving his magic on top!

Very nice bass; - I like that single-cutaway look. Sure sounds like an Alembic, - very hi-fi, clean and clear. Nothing wrong playing w/a pick, man! Carol Kaye, Joe Osborn, Bob Bogle (The Ventures), Peter Cetera (Chicago), Anthony Jackson and some left-handed dude that played for this group called "The Beatles". About 60 years ago . . . 'hehehe!

I am very lucky to live relatively close to Alembic. I got my first one in 2002 back when things were MUCH cheaper! It's fun to visit and see how they are made.
