My friend!!! Yes, completely agreed. Aside from the fact that they’re making a great product, they are such incredibly nice people. You know this all too well!
Hi Charles! Thanks for writing me. I'm jealous of your MG. I have kind of a pipe dream of having a mini Imperial II short scale, but the reality is, I don't actually need another Fodera😜 Good luck to YOU and your new bass!!! Hoping you post a video of it.
I checked a lot of boutique basses. From Fodera, Sadowsky or Tobias. Think there are personal preferences for to buy a brand. I never was a Fodera guy and so i prefer Brazilian bass luthiers because of there tonewoods and the incredible sound soundquality. M.Laghus from Salvador Bahia was is my first choice.
If I was to buy a good bass it would be an F bass or a warrior bass. I think of sound that sit well in any mix. Really buying a fodera bass is a waist of money. If am looking for a good sounding bass well built bass f bass or warrior or MTD Justin Reins signature.
The only other musician I know who plays bass ans saxophone is Wilton Felder, he played bass on “I want you back” for the Jackson 5 for example and was a saxophonist for The Crusaders 😊
I gig with both my Monarch's in a Steely Dan tribute band in UK (The Steelers ) and I bought mine and best investment I could have made, worth every penny !!!!
MIne has been out on pretty much every gig since it arrived a couple of years ago! :) As far as I know, Fodera don't give basses away for free, even for their artists
like watches , a Casio tells time as good as a Rolex, its name if you are willing to pay the name tax. I own a Fodera Emperor 5 but i still reach for my Music Man time after time.
@@johngladstone3437I look at it from the perspective of where if you have a 5 string, you can play the 5th below G and it really has a major impact on your sound. You get more notes with less hand movement. That’s why 5 string is best for me.
Nice video Ryan. Joey and Video by really do put love into every bass they make.

Loved the video and your explanation! I agree and also share the same sentiments. They built my #1 instrument for life.
Nice basses, I have two myself and they are the best I’ve ever had.
One more Mini MG on the way…
Good luck to you moving forward.

Great video man. Great perspective and testimony on Fodera, an amazing American company that still makes hand built basses.
Sick basses! I put in my first custom order earlier this year and I can’t wait!
Excited for you! What did you order for this bass? I still want an Imperial II, but I have no reason to get it. I think I’ll stick with these three😂
Wow bro, so happy for you. I’m sure by now you have it. For me… one day😁
@ No, it’ll still be almost another year for me!
Beautiful story and basses!
awesome instruments ! A big hug buddy
Foderas are pretty awesome. A dream bass for sure.
I'm sitting here playing mine, and thinking the same thing!

Shout out to your wife!🙌🏽🙏🏽😁
Masssssiiiiive shoutout to my wife❤❤
Foderas and Spector seem to have somethings in common
Do any non-endorsed players gig these? Seems like the only players that could afford it get them for free.

A good Fender Precision bass is all you need. 😊
A good one costs like a Fodera, since it's a 60s or 70s Prec :)
I've played/owned Fenders too, although not much anymore. Great basses as well!
can i pet dat dawg
You can pet dat dog.
For me, spending that much money on a bass that’s not a 5 string is a total waste of money.
Sadly can't agree, I have 2 Fodera 4 strings and they are used every single day !!!!!
