Finally, there is a video about the Sirius 35 DS out, which is not just Torsten in each and every picture, but someone knowledgeable (and so much nicer to look at) and to listen to ;-). It`s in German but Marie has done a very good job on the English subtitles you can switch on in the settings (in the right hand bottom corner of the video). If you like have a look to her Video “The perfect boat for sailing around the world: boat tour of the Sirius 35DS at boot 2020 boat show” ruclips.net/video/NcVVsEnUBUc/видео.html&lc=z23rwfehynfqijkxb04t1aokglalr2efuitr2ccvdausbk0h00410.1582479078244963 We are glad she found us and liked it that much!
That is the most amazing 35 I've ever seen! Impressive and well thought out design. I feel like I could move from my 45 to this boat and not lose anything.
Thank you very much for the compliments! She is indeed very spacious inside. If you compare her to modern boats it´s about the space you get on other boats around 41-42 feet ...the more classic you go, the bigger you would have to look
Most amazing, intimate presentation of a boat I've ever seen! The boat seems very ergonomic and built to be sailed and last for the next 30-50 years. Very thoughtful and intelligent designs. Enthusiastic and friendly owner, amazing!
Thanks a lot. I am glad you like it! There has gone a lot of thought and work in the design, but behind this stands a big team who all work with love and passion and thousands of owners ideas. Lots of credit to them as well!
Thank you very much! I just love what I do. I am glad you can notice it. On top of this, I am in the lovely position to have our boats built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and I do work for a company with 49 years of tradition and experience in doing just that. If than that many owners bringing in so many ideas and experiences ...something like this could be the result. Do not ask my wife how often I do the cooking ...but on holiday and on board I love to ;-)
It amazes me how people that build and sell $1,000,000 yachts have such crappy promotional videos. This is not the case for Sirius. Each Sirius-Werft video that I've watched has been an extremely detailed and practical presentation and explanation of features and design choices for the yacht. The videos are impressive to watch Torsten move through his boat. Thank you for taking the time in this virtual showroom.
Thanks for this great statement and the efford you have put into sharing it! It´s just easy being enthusiastic about the boat and a pleasure to be in the lovely position to have it built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and lucky having with Graham Snook one of the best photographers on board helps even more ;-)
My partner and I had a test sail on the 35DS earlier this month, in a 16 knot wind and some rain - perfect for testing a deck saloon! Although we have viewed this model at two boat shows and read extensively about it, the experience on the water still exceeded our expectations by a country mile. The ease of deploying and reefing the mainsail from the cockpit, and tacking and gybing from within the saloon using a rotary autopilot control, while dry and comfortable in the captain's chair, have to be experienced to be believed. In a marina it was easy to turn on a sixpence and - with the precision steering and large rudder just aft of the propeller - we were able to manoeuvre sideways, backwards and forwards, literally to within an inch. One of the many great things we saw was the view underwater through the three windows in the midships cabin, heeled on a port tack. The quality of design and workmanship throughout the boat are the very best you will find. We have a 40DS in our sights now and nothing but a Sirius will do!
Dear Torsten, dear SIRIUS team, it's always a pleasure to look at the presentations of the 35 DS and 40 DS. It is this great attention to detail that makes these yachts so valuable and also beautiful. All the best. 🙂
I watched with enthusiasm from start to finish. The engineering on this vessel for its use was Genius!!!!! Every aspect of life and safety aboard is well noted and accommodations where made to solve problems. Stop and think all of this in a 35 foot yacht. Should be a candidate for the, Queen Elizabeth for Engineering award. I think this semi custom yacht is suited for almost 80 percent of the live aboard market. Thanks for producing such a well made and thought out Cruiser. Peace!!!!!
Wow, thank you very much for those praises! I am glad you like it! There has gone a lot of thought and work in the design, but behind this stands a big team who all work with love and passion and thousands of owners ideas. Lots of credit to them as well!
Amazing design and inteligent solutions all that in 35er!!! By far the best 35 on market! Incredible! My favorite brand from now. Thank you Mr Torsten!

@@SiriusYachts I watched them all with great interest. Sadly, recent events have destroyed my plans of commissioning a 35DS of my own. Pity. Hope all continues well for Sirius-Werft!
My new favorite sailboat, with all of its cool features and the cabin layout. Saloon is the best but all of the deck area is very smart organized. Specifically liked the turnable wheel! Big kudos
Thank you very much for this generous vote! I am glad you like it! The canting wheel is indeed a great feature, offered by Jefa-Steering. I always wonder why we do not see it more often
What an absolutely amazing boat. The various ingenious design considerations are a delight, not least of which is a cabin that doesn't relegate you to cave living when wanting out of the direct elements. It's also nice to see the pride and delight on your face as you show off this truly special craft. Well done!

@@Litheon11 Unfortunately it's a little bit off my price range,. I'm going to be making the move to a live aboard sailboat and spend the rest of my life sailing from Thailand to Laos to Vietnam and Cambodia and all the small island between.

Thanks! ...one of the words I had to look up after the first day of Southampton boat show in 2010, when I was introducing the first 310DS in the for2 version to the UK sailors. By now I have added a few more specific words to my English skills ;-)

What a wonderful sailboat that Sirius 35...! It would be perfect here in Quebec Saint Lawrence sailing, especially the twin keel as our river is very shallow in many places and the tides can be quite raucous!.... Thank you for such great video! Only, I would add a few extras: this would be 1) a wind vane, 2) a solar panel arch & 3wind generator (panels dont belong under the main sail) and 3) a hard dodger with rigid 50% bimini stretching over the cockpit..Because here it is cold even in the summer...the river seldom gets above 14C. Believe me no Quebec sailor would dare sail his boat from the cabin...there is way too much traffic here and tacking is a common chore! Sailed my Bayfield 25 and froze every time the Nordet kicked in....But that is all old history for me now...Retired! Cheers & Godspeed
Thanks Andre´! Nice to hear your thoughts. If you watch out for a Sirius 35 DS in your area you might spot a new delivered one which will be based on the Iles-de-la-Madeleine and Montreal from the end of this year on...but there are a few more in Canada already. All the above mentioned equippment is built onto our boats quite frequently when we equip them for our customer with blue-water-cruising in mind. (If someone would give me a tip how I could add pictures to my answers - I would... ;-) There are also an number of Bimini solutions, but I would piont out that beeing inside the saloon is the place to be if its cold or unpleasent outside. The view and oversight from the interior helm and the rest of the saloon is really designed to helm the boat from there under all conditions. In fact views are in some aspects better form inside than from the cockpits of most boats I have come across as you can even look under the genua and full 360°. Of course I would be outside if bringing her into a mooring but with self-tacking-jib, power steering, engine controlls inside and unobstructed views, there is nearly no sitiuation I wont feel totally at ease helming the boat from a very protected, warm and cosy place inside...
Super presentation. I'm well experimented on several type of sail boat, but, really, i'm entertained both by the quality of your presentation, and all the nice ideas of this cruising boat. A new step to become a fan of the brand !!
What a great presentation from Mr. Schmidt. I wish they were all like this. I have been looking for a boat, and I think you may well have just sold me. Thank you.
Congratulations on a magnificent design, Torsten. Everything has been thought through and makes your competitors designs look plain by comparison. I hope this yacht and the 40 DS generate excellent sales outcomes for you.

What an amazing boat. So well thought through and designed and high quality. I was thinking of an aft cabin but that mid cabin makes total sense and the deck saloon is ideal. The Versa helm too is ideal. It ticks every box.Well done and a great presentation too!
I have just se3en the boat at the BOOT fair. It has both an unbelievable space and friendly athmosphere inside with lots of light.Every part and details have highest quality. I have never seen a boat that quality! If I only had tha money .....
A brilliant design with excellent innovations, the construction looks first rate too, congratulations to you. I would love to take my family sailing in one.

;-) ...I might be a bit biased, nut I do always wonder who would build ...or buy ...or even rent a holiday cottage on a nice lake .................. with no windows???
Ich bin sprachlos, was man aus 35 Fuss Tolles machen kann. Grandios!!! Intelligenteste Lösungen bis ins kleinste Detail. Danke für die exzellente Video-Präsentation.
I just got to your video, and found it fantastic. I'm looking for a sailboat, and i guess started to find out that I'm very close to what I'm looking For. congratulations to you, and for this fantastic boat.
Wow great improvements on ergonomics above the deck of sailboat. Probably this boat needs couple as brilliant friends to design as good sailing motoring qualities.
thank you. We do have a high number of customers living all year long on board…some as their only home. I never liked the slapping of waves in the back in aft cabins very much....and there is no quieter place with less movement than the central cabin, but we do an aft cabin and 6-berth version as well ;-)
A great video and a wonderful design. I used to draw and design boats as a youngster, but unfortunately my career path hasn't taken the same journey. I used to love the thought of sailing around Britain in a Deck Saloon or Motor Sailor, with a covered steering position other than a spray hood. A very well designed yacht. If only I could afford it, although the design is carried into the 310DS.
I am the owner of a 35 feet sailboat and if someday I could I am certainly decided on changing to this Sirius35DS instead going to bigger length , increase confort and modern design in same size. Ahhhh I will keep saving!!!
Thanks! Just being enthusiastic about the boat and in the lovely position to have it built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and lucky having with Graham Snook one of the best photographers on board helps even more ;-)

Yes, thanks for pointing out. That is actually kind of "cheating" as we simply use the widest part of the hull - where each boat has the most space - in a length of about 11 foot (3,5 meters) double. Thanks to the raised settee, we do not only get the great 360° all-round view, but also the space for a very spacious master cabin and the practical technical room at the very same position. The pantry gains the large floor compartments with an unbelievable amount of storage space... and whoever is cooking, is still able to look out of the window and/or steer the yacht at the same time. So in order to compare our yachts in terms of space (and price) with other yachts, you could include the gained space in your calculation. A Sirius 310 offers already the space and the living area like on a 36 or 37 feet yacht. On our Sirius 35 DS you find room like on a typical 40 or 41 feet yacht. The 40DS can be compared with the roomy feel, storage space and the lifestyle of a yacht around 47-48 feet
Brilliant! So much room for a 35, everything looks so well thought out and some great ideas - why don't more boats have a canting steering wheel?! I love how well the cockpit, saloon and galley all flow into each other. Good job!

Other yacht makers: *blah, blah blah, marketing jargon, elegant fraaanch accenté, zhou see, le galley, blah blah...* Torsten: lookit all the drawers! Storage for days! "Tardis" makes me smile! It is one of the "very British terms" I had to learn at my first UK boat shows. At the Southampton boat show in 2010 I had a real problem when displaying the 310 on her world premiere. There was a Yachting monthly test of our Sirius 35 DS just out, very prominently asking on the title page of the boat show issue of the magazine: "Is this the best boat ever built" and giving us the "...highest score we’ve ever awarded, by some distance". Nearly everybody coming out of the 310 DS on display at the show commented on how unbelievable the space was we got into this 35 feet boat. After a while it got "kind of tiring" ;-) to point out to all this visitors, that this was the 310 they just have seen and not a 35 ;-)
What a beautiful boat. I love the man cave. I've been watching your videos and the pride you have as you're showing us the craftsmanship and features that this boat has makes me want to see your entire line of boats. Thanks for another review. How many boats do you have in your line?

Well done!
Thanks a lot...but stop making me red on my face ;-) ...It´s good fun to share, and easy getting excited about the boat! Behind the design stands a big team who all work with love and passion and thousands of owners ideas. Lots of credit to them as well!
"I'm not really using the oilies, because when it's raining, you close the hatch, and go inside" Awesome!
;-) jep, that`s very nice... greating others with a cup of tee in your hand from inside, ...is no that nice...;-)
What a beautiful boat... I love all the practicality you have designed into it--a place for everything and everything in its place.
The is now my favorite boat ❤️⛵
I just came across this myself, I can't believe how good it seems. Went straight to the top of my list!
@@Litheon11 Unfortunately it's a little bit off my price range,. I'm going to be making the move to a live aboard sailboat and spend the rest of my life sailing from Thailand to Laos to Vietnam and Cambodia and all the small island between.
This might be the most well thought out boat in this size that i have ever seen. Excellent job on the very well made tour of this fine vessel.

Amazingly well thought out. Beautiful yacht.
I love how useful this manufacturer is. BEST
Unbelievably practical! Well done mr.Schmidt.

Beautiful boat, I keep coming back to look at it!!
It's like a floating Tardis. Amazing.
Thanks! ...one of the words I had to look up after the first day of Southampton boat show in 2010, when I was introducing the first 310DS in the for2 version to the UK sailors. By now I have added a few more specific words to my English skills ;-)
A true MASTERPIECE. So much thought into most important everyday life details! Cruisers Dream!!! Excellent presentation too!

Thank you.
Thanks, it´s my pleasure. I just love what I do. I am glad you can notice this....and you are very welcome!

Thank you Graham
I have just se3en the boat at the BOOT fair. It has both an unbelievable space and friendly athmosphere inside with lots of light.Every part and details have highest quality. I have never seen a boat that quality! If I only had tha money .....

Wow, I am impressed. The pride the owner displays in this presentation is totally justified!
Thanks, I appreciate your comment very much!...but it is really fun ;-)
Dream boat and fantastic presentation!
A brilliant design with excellent innovations, the construction looks first rate too, congratulations to you. I would love to take my family sailing in one.
I have not seen so many new smart ideas at 35"boat!
Awesome... Very well thought out design and described.
Awesome tour! Beautiful boat.
Impressive design and You can just feel how proud he and how much he loves the boat people like that are rare
Thank you very much! I just love what I do. I am glad you can notice it. On top of this, I am in the lovely position to have our boats built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and I do work for a company with 49 years of tradition and experience in doing just that. If than that many owners bringing in so many ideas and experiences ...something like this could be the result
He gives a great presentation. Love this design, not huge and cumbersome, and well sheltered for actual use, not just fair weather day trips.
Thanks, it´s my pleasure and very easy to get enthusiastic about ;-)
Beautiful, well thought out boat. Excellent owner presentation. Thanks.
Thanks for all this compliments! Glad you like it!
ks to me a most comfortable and efficient sailing boat.. A roomy deckhouse with inside steering is quite an asset during rainy periods.
"The basic idea is that most sailors like nature, so you might want to see it." Ha! Yessir we do.
;-) ...I might be a bit biased, nut I do always wonder who would build ...or buy ...or even rent a holiday cottage on a nice lake .................. with no windows???
Ich bin sprachlos, was man aus 35 Fuss Tolles machen kann. Grandios!!! Intelligenteste Lösungen bis ins kleinste Detail. Danke für die exzellente Video-Präsentation.
I just got to your video, and found it fantastic. I'm looking for a sailboat, and i guess started to find out that I'm very close to what I'm looking For.
congratulations to you, and for this fantastic boat.
Great presentation and a lovely Boat :*
Best boat I've ever seen
Wow great improvements on ergonomics above the deck of sailboat. Probably this boat needs couple as brilliant friends to design as good sailing motoring qualities.
I love this assymetrical layout. Great job. This version sacrifices the rear cabin, but is the best for a couple all time living onboard.
310ds
I am the owner of a 35 feet sailboat and if someday I could I am certainly decided on changing to this Sirius35DS instead going to bigger length , increase confort and modern design in same size. Ahhhh I will keep saving!!!
I really love this model
Beautiful and practical! I’ll TAKE it! I have a feeling, though, that I’ll have to win the lottery first!
Thank you very much for the compliments! you are very welcome! ...and please keep buying those tickets ;-)
Great boat! Great video production and presentation! Thx! 😉👍
Thanks! Just being enthusiastic about the boat and in the lovely position to have it built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and lucky having with Graham Snook one of the best photographers on board helps even more ;-)
congrats, this is an amazing layout. very clever.

Sooner than later we will have one of these
This design is very impressive, probably my future boat within the next 5 years or so
Thanks, I am glad you like it! You are most welcome! ..its 3 years from now ;-)
An adjustable helm! That's such a bloody obvious alternative to dual helms that I'm alarmed it's not common... Well done, sir! Great idea.

Da ist jemand zurecht sehr stolz auf die Architektur der 35DS. Alles wie es sein soll und das auf 35 Füssen. Wirklich klasse!
Congrats on getting an amazing amount of value in a 35 footer. German engineering at it's best. Thanks.
Good job!
Fantastic boat and a very sympatische Präsentation!!

Wow, I forgot I was looking at a 35 footer. This boat seems to have as much room inside as a 40 footer. And the cockpit is well protected. Nice boat.
Thank you very much for the compliments! She is indeed very spacious inside. If you compare her to modern boats it´s about the space you get on other boats around 41-42 feet ...the more classic you go, the bigger you would have to look
You are on philosophy of Amel in a smaller boats and probably more reliable. Congratulation! And you are great presenting the ships.

"Emergency supply" 😂
That steering is SWEET !
A floating TARDIS , love this yacht

It´s lovely to be in a position to have it built in the exact way I would do it for myself...and work for a company with 49 years of tradition and experience in doing just that.
