It's always nice listening to one of the old guard who are truly passionate about their vocation and have lots of experience to draw from. I could listen to Patrick Stewart, Terence Stamp, Willem Dafoe and the late Rutger Hauer for hours on end. Self-assured yet humble, greatness and wisdom personified.
This man is so honest and down to earth. No fake humbleness for him. His attitude is 'I'm human. A real person and I also just happen to be an actor sitting here chatting with you.' He is truly a nice man.
Watching this, I missed a small part and I thought Patrick was rambling on and I assumed it’s old age and felt a little bad. As I continued to watch and he was bringing it all together, I was like wait, he is making a lot of sense, so I rewind, and got the part I missed and felt so glad to see the man is still a great story teller. Also I was so glad to be wrong because I love the man.
It's funny that Patrick says he was suffering from vertigo for about eight months. A few months ago, I was also suffering from vertigo. Thankfully, it only lasted for about three weeks. I'd get out of bed or walk across the room and the world would be doing a very quick half-spin, snapping back into place and half-spinning again, repeating a few times over a few seconds. It was all I could do to avoid falling down. But I learned a technique online where you discern which ear is the problem (in my case, the left), and you lay in bed with your head back, with your bad ear on the pillow, and quickly but smoothly rotate your head away from your troublesome ear all the way to the opposite side (you sometimes have to do it more than once). That, along with a few ear flushes over the course of those three weeks, and I eventually lost the symptoms. I now have no problem at all.
He's right about Dafne Keen. Her performance as Laura/ X23 was perfect. The last scene she has with Hugh Jackman was beautiful and emotional. The line "Daddy" still breaks my heart.
This is a professional actor who really loves and enjoys his work!

Such great advice. " Everyone in that room wants you to be the best they have seen"
This guy right here is a true actor, and you can tell he just has the deepest passion for his profession
I love that bit about nothing being wasted as an actor. I experience the same thing as a librarian.
Stewart should have won an Oscar for his acting in Logan. Genius!

Keep on trucking Patrick!

The Dr can put lanicaine in the cortisone shots for arthritis and it really decreases the pain of the injection....i know from my own experiences.
In an old truck like that, you need “4-40” air conditioning. 4 windows open, driving at 40 mph.
Woulda been nice of he actually talked about Logan for more than 10 seconds
To be fair, he was asked a rather broad question, about "how do you play old?" And such a broad question will naturally engender a broad answer.
Patrick is slipping fast
