Captain Picard and Gandalf the Grey are best friends. This world is awesome.
For now, Just wait until this shit generation of texting idiots take over the world.
No, its Magneto and Professor X.
@@Dallorkid No, it's Macbeth and Macbeth.
I could listen to these two all day.
5 years
SO. MUCH. CLASS.
Here is a legendary friendship, both Knights, same profession, similar age, what respect and understanding and comraderie. They set an example for young people.
Greatest Bromance in history.
I broship it - BrOTP!
Great actors...absolutely. Also two of THE BEST voices on the planet.
My wife and I had the great good fortune to attend a performance of The Merchant of Venice at Stratford in 1979. Patrick Stewart gave a brilliant and terrifying realisation of Shylock which we shall never forget. He is the real deal.
Snap! Me too!!
It’s always surprising how fabulous Sir Ian is when I grew up to him as Magneto and then Gandalf. He is a treasure they both are.
We need a buddy cop movie with these two now
I simply adore Ian McKellen!!
I love Patrick Stewart also, but McKellen has long been my personal number one!
These two guys are legends
True friendship, love seeing these two
Big bromance between these two ! so classy
When I read __Shylock__ in college, I came across a photo and a clip somehow of Sir Patrick Stewart playing the lead role. I would dearly love to see him play it live. Years later, when I taught a semester of Language Arts to eighth graders, I tried to make Shakespeare as accessible as possible to the students. Shakespeare’s plays should be fun, or horrifying, but not intimidating. I love listening to these two fabulous actors talking about making Shakespeare accessible.
Two of my favorites actors ☺️
Have to say. After watching many interviews it seems that some actors after certain age are becoming a little bit... Well... Slow. They don't look to good. But Sir McKellen and Sir Patrick? My God they aged nicely! Sharp and witty legends
too true and the fact that they are such brilliant actors working together on such fantastic projects is just a gift for everyone.
Sir Patrick Stewart, a man who came out of the womb as a balding 65-year-old man and hasn't aged a day since =)
Petr Spíďa Krunka
She was born a 65 year old man as well? Shocker :P
Petr Spíďa Krunka Maggie Smith is a balding 65-year-old man ? O_O
Hollywood summer 1969: I saw Patrick Stewart (with hair) playing Claudius to Nicol Williamson's Hamlet at the Huntington Hartford Theater. He had assumed the role from Antony Hopkins who had been in the original staging at the Roundhouse in London. I believe he still had his own hair when he played Macro to Derek Jacobi's Claudius on the PBS series.
I first remembered Sir Ian when he played a very nerdy Tesman opposite Janet Suzman's Hedda for a PBS series entitled World Theatre..His Tesman was a close relative of the comic Richard Haydn--Hilarious
Even if you are not capable of understanding the English language you will enjoy listening to those two splendid and virtuoso stage actors playfully showcasing the beauty of their mother tongue!
Same with me
LOL! I made the video!! Around 2:46, audience shot.
Was an amazing session! Only in NYC :)
I wish they adopted me.
Patrick Stewart never ages.
maybe its me, but seeing these two made me realize that they are amazing actors. many known actors can show anger, sadness, siriousness, but these two are just so completely different on stage, than they are...well in real life... truely amazing =)
I've noticed Ian loves his scarves.
Miss you, Patrick. I think about the seminar all the time. Best to David.
2:37 Gandalf moment
Always Picard, Always Gandalf, Always in out hearts !
Oh those voices !
I simply adored his Malvolio at The Ivy.
this is wonderful! so cool to see such brilliant minds together.
Bro you have no idea how much it’s blowing my mind that you commented on this (great job on your latest video btw)
I enjoy listening to their stories
"The Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart Show"
Greatest actors of our time
I hope I'm this adorable when I'm 80 😆
What is slightly better than this is Patrick Stewart with Ricky Gervais on Extras. This is very good though.
the true actors..love them
Enough gravitas here to create a black hole.
I'm in love
love this boys since a lot of years
07:00 You can almost imagine Ian, after being told how gorgeous Patrick thought he looked back when he was younger, that he momentarily wished Patrick had been gay for him - if not in the past then in the present.
Of course I do understand they have this wonderful bromance going on, they both have partners, that such feelings could ruin it between them etc. But that moment just briefly made Ian gleam a sort of gleeful regret of not having been more than best friends with Patrick.
One thing I like about Sir Ian (which straight men never do) is his readiness / eagerness to say how beautiful another man is. We women say this all the time about other women, but men are usually reluctant. Probably it's not manly enough to acknowledge beauty in a fellow human being.
these two are awesome !
Love those guys! :-)
I love these two men. :)
i wish they make another x men trilogy!
WARNING: Anything with Ian McKellen in it will seem to fly by at 1/5th the normal time. And you'll be going "Noooo! It's already over?!"
Yeah, it's like that. Go ahead, watch this, you'll see.
I love Patrick's socks
Patrick Stewart must be an elf, because he has barely aged since Star Trek.
He looks the same since "Dune."
Two Loveys, i always thought Patrick was doing an impression of Ian Mckellen when he acts, LOL.
Throw Christopher Lee into the mix, video of the century.
hi i am from 9gag...
me too, is this part of the interview the right one?
Why?
Lan McKellen is a great Actor
I like him!
Fail
quantumkord
fail ? why ?
musi musi
I think it's because you spelled Ian's first name with a L instead of a I. That's my best guess.
Watching these 2 giants on screen, a thought passes through my mind. I can understand Patrick Stewart, every single word, every inflection, every word, high pitch or low, mumbled or not. I can't understand Ian 60% of the time. He's softer spoken or something (in this interview not in general) but I lose a lot of what's saying.
I'm not sure where you're from, friend, but perhaps it's because of your location. Sir Ian has a very soft, yet "gruff" voice, and as a Brit I understand it perfectly - although I do think sometimes the camera/microphone doesn't pick it up. Sir Patrick has a similar accent to Ian, but more clear.
Crimbly
I'm Cdn and i have not trouble understanding either of them.
i need them to do some Dota 2 Announcer ;(
Aren't one suppose to buy Danish Pastry if you are doing Hamlet, and buy English Muffins when you are doing King Lear? 😜😁
6 years
Three sirs and two knights
02:37 xDD
That T icon is right over Patrick's head for a lot of this :(
1000 nerds, screaming in ecstasy.
those socks though.
lol oh my god one of them snorted.
Mute the interviewers mike after questions, please. His (understandable) chuckling is distracting me from an otherwise excellent interview.
Two lovely fellows, I wish someone of their calibre would give back their knighthoods in protest of the establishments treatment of Assange and the covering up of the Epstein criminality.
Far be it from me to presume to speak for anyone else, but I'm pretty sure nobody watching this video is unaware of who Patrick Stewart or Ian McKellan are. The frequently appearing signs are more distracting than necessary, unfortunately.
Nice interview though.
Stop saying McBeth(!)
What's the " McBeth" what's meaning?
I can't believe Gandalf is gay
MOST annoying laughter of all times!
Annoying man laughing through his teeth.
