@@shaunmcinnis566 Right. As Non truck driver I slid into a pole once.. No real damage but was stressed. Forgot my car was front wheel drive and thought it was stuck, turned into the pole at first stupid as hell... Stopped to think and was like oh yeah. Pulled away easy no trouble at all turning away from it. Glad I remembered my cobalt was front wheel drive in a snow storm going through Kansas in high wind. That was super stressful. Tried pushing through a drift and it pushed me into oncoming traffic, had to floor it and pull the front away. That same road I saw the aftermath of a similar slide off. Blue or black car must've slid in front of the semi that hit it. Sad to say it looked like the semi crushed any space inside the vehicle. Like a Coke can after you wrap it around a bat. One look and instantly I felt like we were looking at someones new roadside grave.
As a fellow trucker, 21 years in the game, non CDL ppl have no idea how panicking this can be...but I knew this driver and I'm proud to say that he was written up but still have his job...also, it's a shame we live in a world where ppl would rather record than help...they could've at least tried to help
That's a shame to hear. This guy has no business being behind the wheel of a truck. He has proven that he does not have the ability to think through a tough situation. Do you really want him on the road with your family and depend on hid decision making ability?
@tomfuelery2905 he made a bad decision fella, followed a GPS down the wrong road...what about these speed demons in these cars speeding and crashing...they're worse than truckdrivers fella
He should've learned how to reverse his rig before taking it onto the road. The idiot shouldn't be anywhere near a truck. Any halfwit can drive one of these forwards, its reversing around a corner that sorts the men from the morons.
I really hate it for the driver. I drove for 10 years before calling it quits. The best piece of advice I can give a new driver is stay calm, don't panic and keep a level head.
Sucks to be that dude. I'm a driver myself, so I can sympathize with most truck drivers. But why he thought he could u-turn a 53 ft trailer on a 2 lane road is beyond me.
I’ve been a driver damn near 10 years. For all the new drivers out there, if you ever encounter this situation CALL THE POLICE!!! I cannot stress this enough. This guy could have easily backed up then made a u-turn. SMH
@oliverseoliverse I understand that, but I don't see any traffic impeding his driving. It looks as if the one car recording was back far enough to yield to him the space he needed
@unorthodox7945 Yes but traffic further back may not know what's ahead and may go around them, creating another obstacle for getting out. The person filming is also stuck. The police may reroute the traffic or stop it altogether until the truck can get out of there.
At least he saw the sign and is trying to turn around. The guy filming could back up a little to let him strait back to the intersection. But no filming is more important than helping someone who needs it.
The idiot driver should have paid attention it's his fault not to guy filming.....he could have backed up and turned left without destroying the truck...
I was wondering the same thing. Why didn't the damn guy back up to let him know he can back out! We don't help each other man...our society has failed us
Being a driver I can say this. Don't try the u-turn. Back it up nice and slow if you have no traffic or someone willing to help. If you don't have that or are unsure, call the police. They can help you out in a timely manner with no damage to the truck. Plus as long as you haven't violated any weight retrictions, you usually don't get a ticket, you keep your job and you don't have this embarrassing video on youtube. I am fortunate that I have not had this exact situation happen to me, but I have come to unmarked dead ends on small county roads with ditches on either side. All I did was throw on my 4 ways, back up slowly and when a car came up behind me I stopped until they went around me. Continued this until I found a safe place to pull into that I could get turned around in safely and legally. No damage to the truck.
Years otr here myself...I feel bad for this kid. True meaning of learned the hard way. Dude filming could've jumped out and helped. We are all in this together people. Even if you don't drive trucks you know this is not a good situation
That Driver filming might just have already tried to offer help. Maybe even try to explain to the Idiot, about the Entrance to an Industrial Park 150 feet back. But like all of today's Pajama Pants and Flip Flop wearing Wheel Holders, they feel they know it all. And will tell those trying to help them to, F*CK OFF and mind their own business. I know because I have been told countless times when I offered to help.

I haven't had the same experience with the police. I don't make a habit of calling them or needing them. Do you ever think maybe...you're the problem in society?
This exact type of situation happened to me years ago during my first year on the road. I was in Chicago. The road did have a Low bridge height sign but you couldn't see it until you have already committed to the road. Traffic was so bad that backing up was out of the question. I looked at my GPS and it said there is a road 2 more blocks further down the rabbit hole that I could use to get turned around. When I got there to my horror the freakin road was closed and barricaded. I had no choice but to call the police on myself so they could come out and block traffic long enough for me to turn around. To my supprise, they didn't ask me any questions, they didn't write me a ticket. In fact as soon as I got turned around they drove off without saying a word. I guess this must happen all the time 🤣. But still, after that, I never wanted to go back to Chicago. Those roads are not meant for big trucks.
@jerrybasham4439 I agree 100%. I dont ever go into the Florida panhandle unless the load pays enough for me to deadhead all the way back home. Florida is a trap. Those loads don't pay anything. They'll try to pay you $300 to take a load from Miami to Atlanta. I'd rather come back empty than be pimped out like that. When I ran longhkaul, I stayed away from New York and California too. California has their own set of DOT regulations used to make money off truckers. Nowadays, I only drive up and down I-65 or close to it..
i feel so bad for this guy. He drove into a tough situation and just totally panicked. It should be really drilled into new drivers, that it's okay to ask for help.
You can tell he is panicking here. When I first started driving, for the first 4-5 months, I was constantly on the edge of that same panic. The right set of circumstances, the wrong day, that could have been me.
When I started driving years ago everybody was in the panic seat because you're trying to figure out what to do right it took a little while but you figure it out if you don't then you got to go home
I hate impatient drivers, always beeping, fingering, shouting & not understanding how that doesn't help the situation at all. When i was new to driving on the roads, people gave me a hard time when i was learning. I took a roundabout in the wrong lane. He beeped at me & gave me the finger. Yes it was my mistake but he was very far from me & i didn't harm anyone doing it. I also went into a blind corner a little to fast around 15mph (this was with parked cars on their side.) I couldn't see any oncoming traffic. Due to the blind bend, i still don't know what i would do differently. Apart from going slower, honestly parking cars on the opposite side of a road around a blind turn shouldn't be allowed. It's very dangerous as i found out i didn't crash but it was a close call. I did progressive braking giving the driver time to go into an open spot.
I think the person taking this video could have gotten out and tried to help the driver back out of this situation. There might have been a lot less damage and taken a lot of stress off of the driver. But that would have taken an act of kindness and being helpful to someone else which is rare to find these days.
The times we shoot a drowning man, and never hold the hand. In my college my Professor asked, if you are a journalist and you are in a situation where you see a man dying on the road and you got to make a news story out of it, would you take tge camera out or would you call for help and make sure the man reches hispital in time. I said i would help. My Professor said, " then you better never try to be a journalist, as erhically you are not supposed to be an active part of any situation butact only as eyes and ears of the firm you work for." May be every man with a camera phone is a professional journo nowadays.

@s.s.s.734 it's like night and day from when I started. Every day is better backing up lol 😆 when I 1st started, man, I took out the front driver mirror, pinched the truck between a fence, getting lost in downtown Atlanta.......or just being on a no truck road............Huge learning curves lol
@s.s.s.734 thank you 😊 🙏 💓 he's serving a 10 year sentence now. My company goes as far as texas, and I love texas 😍 , and north, I've been as far as Chicago. The best part about driving is getting to see all of the 🇺🇸. The only part I hate is when u have an appointment for 1pm and they make you wait 8 hours!!!!!!!!! I told the guy you think I have all day? You do realize truckers run on log books? Lol 😆 🤣
I made a wrong turn in downtown Seattle and found myself on a No-Trucks narrow street. I stopped, walked back to the intersection, found a Lady Police Officer on a bicycle ( gorgeous, beautiful, wearing shorts ), told her about my mistake, crazy traffic @ 4:30 pm, she called, two more police officers came for help to stop traffic, I backed up to & through the intersection, hop on the road again, no ticket, nothing but beautiful smiles. Actually they all appreciate me for keeping my head cool and asking for help without putting anyone in danger.
So this is what happens when your in a big rig and have a nervous mental break down... because this driver clearly stopped thinking at all. I honestly feel sorry for the guy.
I don't feel sorry for this guy at all. Why the hell do you do a job that is the least fitting to you? And what if he has a nervous mental break down on a highway and accidentally kills a few people, are you sorry for him too?
He should have just called the cops to escort him out. He would have probably gotten a hundred dollar ticket. I got trapped downtown during a NFL football game with people everywhere and no way for me to turn without killing somebody. The cops barricaded the street and escorted me out. They never ticketed me. I was authorized to be there. This guy is obviously a rookie. Hopefully bhe learned from this.
If a driver calls before doing any damage, usually no ticket written. It's when someone messes things up and then the cops come out that tickets get written. If the responding officers have DOT enforcement, they will usually do a road side inspection, too.
He wasn’t going to get a ticket. I’ve been in a similar situation multiple times. Called the cops they were happy to help me. I got out of the situation safely with no ticket
I always have seen this video pop up through the years and really think the locals should of helped him out. You know the same people navigate that road and probably have seen plenty of drivers in this situation in this exact spot numerous times. Even if I'm off work in my car I try to help a fellow trucker brother out. Trucking is trial by fire and you learn on the road. The public needs training just as much as this guy
You can read every book on truck driving that was ever written but experience comes to you over years of trucking and that driver won't do things that way anymore.
I was in a similar situation once... I got out and explained to the car’s behind me that I needed to back up... they got out of the way and I proceeded to slowly back out of a bad situation 😂
Yes, in that way such situations are handled. That is common sense. I would understand if he'd tried. But at the latest when the first damage occours, stop and get help. But he continues and continues over and over...
you gotta feel sorry for this guy....he is like the rest of us only tryin to feed his family, the person filming this could have done the decent thing and tried to help the poor guy in some way
no there is no helping stupid like that he should have simply called the police and got help holding traffic so he could back out. not tear up the truck
maybe so,but you can see the the guy is panicking a bit,we all make mistakes.personally i could not sit back and watch anyone struggle doing whatever without offering assistance....but hey, thats me.
Ive been driving for 4 years. I have had this happen to me once where i got to a low bridge, come to find out the warnings were covered with trees and branches so wasnt aware! Best thing to do is to WAIT IT OUT. When the opportunity comes BACK up until you can safely get out. It doesnt matter how embarrassed or whatever, SHIII happens!! You may even get a good citizen that will get out and aware of whats going on and direct traffic away from you so you call back up! Good luck truckers! Be safe!
Exactly. He was skilled enough to turn properly so I agree with not thinking or idiot. I'm on back roads every day and get into something new all the time. Getting worked up, stressed and a little scared is easy to do. But there is always a way. Do what you can when you can and wait for the break
Truck driving is not for everybody. This guy lacks common sense. That's very important on this job. What he needed to do, was stop, hit the flashers and get out a assess the situation. Wave traffic though and call the police assistance. As for the trucking company, they'll fire this guy and their insurance will repair the rig.
I remember about 20 years ago a i asked a cop for directions and he told me to make a left and keep straight. I made the left and kept straight and started seeing a black shadow. As i got closer i saw it was a low clearance bridge it was around 2am lucky i was in the city and a chinese restaurant was open so i just hugged the curb got out and got some chinese food and told them to call the cops because a big truck is stuck near the bridge. When they came they stopped traffic both ways and i did a 90 degree alley dock backup down a side street and went back the way I came but with the right direction this time. Back then there was no gps strictly Rand McNally and pay phone calls....The cop said i was one of the few who didn't just try to go under it and get stuck.
I remember I had a library full of maps in my reg. You always had to asks a driver for the exact route location. Or call the company that was delivering to. Most of The times their directions suck and they didn't even know how to guide you to the company .
The fact that he drove towards a low bridge which ment he couldn't go any further, and the fact that he wasn't able to get out by doing a U-turn isn't really the issue here, the issue is how he dealt with the situation. I think most people whether rookies or not would've either just left the truck where it was as soon as they discovered it wouldn't go under the bridge and rang for help, or gone onto the pavement a little to get more out of the way and left it there and rang for help, or just backed it out of there, anyone behind him he could've just asked them if they would back up so he can get out. This guy probably panicked and thought that he couldn't leave it there because of blocking the road, or backing up because of traffic behind him, and couldn't think of doing anything else other than just forcing it to do a U-turn even though it ment wrecking the truck.
RPKVids Even though the logical thing to do would be to go ask for help but in certain States on certain roads an streets a person is not allowed to leave any sort of vehicle unattended on certain roads in streets because by some state laws that is considered abandonment because you can be fined an your vehicle can be towed!!!!
RPKVids thanks :) I agree OMG didn't think you felt the same. Traffic behind him and couldn't think of anything else. whoever filmed this shame on for not getting out and helping him you could have filmed yourself being a hero. and driver I understand you were nervous. we are all human. ArmyStrong

I feel his pain. I was in a similar situation. I had to back up a little bit at a time. Let cars go by so I had more room to backup. You can't panic or get into a hurry otherwise you risk safety or excessive damage to the truck. Things happen. You just keep a cool head and think it through.

Missing a sign isn't a big deal. Stopping before the bridge isn't a big deal. The only issue here was trying to do a u-turn like a complete idiot, and that had absolutely nothing to do with the signs or the bridge.
How to attempt impossible U-turn step: 1. activate hazards, alerting others of your pending maneuver 2. Lose mind 3. Jack knife like you mean it, until.. 4. truck has shed all soft body panels/ severed air lines to trailer 5. Once immobile, do a walk-around, assess the situation 6. Enlist help from local bridge dwelling crackhead to clear the roadway of debris 7.Call dispatch, tell them you were run off the road by a car full of irate teenagers be sure to mention a possible neck injury 8. ??? 9. profit.
That is correct. This is in Knoxville Tennessee if I recall correctly because I did the research and I found that exact location and bridge and there's a giant place to do a U-turn you can even see the bellmouth of the road a little bit in the video just like you mentioned!
Depending on what's outside the camera frame, I could have turned around using that driveway to the left. Tandems forward keeping in mind trailer swing. Turn left to 40°, cut hard right in reverse to 80°, then make the u-turn at full jackknife. Then again, I trip plan & don't use GMaps. So I don't come across low bridges in the first place.
I can sort of relate. My third day on the job, I needed to make a U Turn with 53 ft trailer and decided to turn into hotel parking lot because they have a lot of space. The one that I turned into only had one entrance that also served as the exit. It took me 30 minutes to get out of there, and the only way I got out was that the parking lot was empty.
***** I know that feeling of "Just another foot. It'll start coming around in just ONE MORE FOOT." and then it just gets worse instead of better. I'm not saying he was in the right. He definitely blew it and probably lost his job. But I can see the mentality.
When 53ft trailers first came out, supposedly they were just going to be used on toll roads only, like triples are.But the greedy companies then wanted them to go everywhere, and this is what you get. They need to go back to 48ft trailers
Feel his pain never easy being a new driver and getting in difficult situation like this.Person filming should have stopped filming and helped . I've grown up around trucks, and driven them.Hope it's not put him off,and learnt from it.
I’ve come to a low overhead clearance once before at around 01:00 very little traffic . I slowly backed out with my 4 ways on , had to go around a couple of curves but I got out safely and on my way . This happened when I was a brand new driver when I went on my own. From that point on , I learned to be plan my trips / route and not to fully rely on my GPS
This guy is probably right out of school and on his first trip, he doesn't even know how to back up. He should have contacted a cop who could have helped him back up to a street where he could turn left or right. Sad.
Bunch of idiots!! I Beth none of you even know how to back up your own little Toyota Yaris, but you're too quick to point fingers, talking about experience and cdl skills. True matter is , anyone can make this kind of mistake. You'll remember one day when you mess up really bad, then you'll see how it feels . Mature for goodness sake. That's why the world is the way it is , because of useless bystanders that the only thing they know and are professionals at is just use profanity to get rid of their own mediocrity
Clearly his seniors or company executives did not inform him of the processes needed to undertake during such a situation, e.g. staying calm. Often risk management is not communicated down the company hierarchy. This is the result. It is not his fault in the end.
In reality, as long as the truck was still able to run, nothing probably happened. Only accidents involving other vehicles can get you fired in the trucking industry.
John Scott nope. I work for a company that will fire you automatically for even *attempting* a u turn, and will seriously consider it for topping the truck/trailer, depending on property damage. this driver panicked. the proper move here is to stop, put your four ways on, put your triangles out and call the non emergency police number for assistance
stormytyca Are you still a company driver? How long have you been driving? When you have your authority only your insurance company can tell you what you can't do. There are places where a u-turn can come in handy like at a cul-de-sac.
John Scott not a company driver, and I've been driving long enough to know that you should be trip planning thoroughly enough to not need to pull a u turn. If that's your attitude towards the situation, do me a favor and let me know where you are, so I can be anywhere else
Ive been stuck in some bad situations before, but he tore the crap out of this truck, seems like he could of just backed straight, worst case call police to get you out safely. Shame on the mess. Leave yourself an out
How do we know this rookie didn’t try u-turn first in a panic and the video person showed up after he had fucked himself up? Even if trucker saw the height sign too late, anyone with sense can see a u-turn could never work there; the fact that he tried makes me wonder if he even had the sense to attempt a straight back first.
You clearly are not a trucker and never been a new trucker at that. Do you not understand as a new driver in a new situation, truck training and or common sense sometimes doesn't kick in as fast? All that stuff leaves your body. You start thinking rational after the fact or usually when u finally have another human being there to help out .
Looks like he let stress get the best of him and let panic take over. Should have just gotten someone to spot for him so he could back out of there instead of attempting a U-turn.
dont feel sorry for him if he cant deal with something that simple how many people will he mame or kill next time hes faced with a choice. next time it might be something tough or complicated. lets face fact the damage he did isnt less than running into the overpass. you just cant fix stupid
brian craig the company is responsible for the truck and the load he is hauling. Responsible meaning whoever has to foot the bill. So your statement is 100% incorrect.
He's probably fired because of the damage he did to company property and he thought he could make a U-turn with a dual axle truck with a 53 ft. trailer. I'm no CDL holder, but I know that he had better chances in making it go reverse. If I caught him before he tried the U-Turn I would have tried to assist him with the reversing, but if he was already like that when I got there, sorry but you already dug this hole.
"Stay Calm & Call the Cops" I only got 6months of experience out on the road...only shit that fustrated me was my pay!! I never panicked on any dmn thing starting out, I was anxious to get out on my own...most of this shit is common sense....
for all the people below downing the trucker, get a grip. Everyone doesn't realize the guy is human just like you are and I guarantee that YOU all have done stupid things on the road too and you try to correct it and it doesn't turn in your favor. Mistakes happen and will always continue to happen geeezzz! Hope someone has a camera on you and posts it on youtube for everyone to see when you make a driving error!
I agree with you about the fact that we have all made stupid mistakes while driving, but this is a clear case of a lack of training on the company. Evidently, they didn't cover the part of what to do if something like this happens, or if they did, he missed class that day. But even a little common sense would tell you "not to try this". "Gee, there are parts coming off the truck, I wonder if I am doing something wrong?" Duuuuuh.
I guess you're saying you're better than all the other drivers out there. Like I said, everybody is human and makes bad choices sometimes, even on the road.
If you newbies are ever in this situation , just call for help or slowly back up. Cars will move.

That's a shame to hear.
This guy has no business being behind the wheel of a truck.
He has proven that he does not have the ability to think through a tough situation.
Do you really want him on the road with your family and depend on hid decision making ability?

He should've learned how to reverse his rig before taking it onto the road. The idiot shouldn't be anywhere near a truck. Any halfwit can drive one of these forwards, its reversing around a corner that sorts the men from the morons.
I really hate it for the driver. I drove for 10 years before calling it quits. The best piece of advice I can give a new driver is stay calm, don't panic and keep a level head.
Dave Pelfrey I still drive and I couldn’t agree more

Ozzie Sheppard ok good for you
Dave Pelfrey Hello Dave, how are you ?
Sounds like good advice for any profession. Life in general, even.
Sucks to be that dude. I'm a driver myself, so I can sympathize with most truck drivers. But why he thought he could u-turn a 53 ft trailer on a 2 lane road is beyond me.
You can see in the video the curb on the left turning left. He fucked himself bad. Could of just reversed and came back out wider

I think he got nervous he’s new clearly he forgot which way to turn his wheel while backing
This dude panicked. No way he was calm and thinking logically. He should have just started backing up. Cars would just go around him.

I’ve been a driver damn near 10 years. For all the new drivers out there, if you ever encounter this situation CALL THE POLICE!!! I cannot stress this enough. This guy could have easily backed up then made a u-turn. SMH
Call the police to help you, as a truck driver, he means. 😊
What will the police do?
@@unorthodox7945 The police will control traffic so you can drive out backwards.
Poor guy... He seems devastated. I'm glad he finally got some help.
At least he saw the sign and is trying to turn around. The guy filming could back up a little to let him strait back to the intersection. But no filming is more important than helping someone who needs it.
Sad state of society these days. It’s the same when people film themselves “helping” a homeless person etc.
The idiot driver should have paid attention it's his fault not to guy filming.....he could have backed up and turned left without destroying the truck...
I had to go under a 13'0" once. Sometimes they overestimate the height because of possible snow and ice buildup.
@@bentonja668 Stop lying
Wrong, attempting this was BS cause these goons are not trained, they are passing out CDL's for free.
Wrong, the driver should have checked his surroundings.....
There's no way someone who doesn't have a cdl would know how to help you
You have to be a complete bafoon to do this. This is gross negligence
That Driver filming might just have already tried to offer help. Maybe even try to explain to the Idiot, about the Entrance to an Industrial Park 150 feet back.
I try to never go to Chicago or miami beach the worst
@jerrybasham4439 I agree 100%. I dont ever go into the Florida panhandle unless the load pays enough for me to deadhead all the way back home. Florida is a trap. Those loads don't pay anything. They'll try to pay you $300 to take a load from Miami to Atlanta. I'd rather come back empty than be pimped out like that. When I ran longhkaul, I stayed away from New York and California too. California has their own set of DOT regulations used to make money off truckers. Nowadays, I only drive up and down I-65 or close to it..

Did you get a ticket when the cops showed up?
I think the person taking this video could have gotten out and tried to help the driver back out of this situation. There might have been a lot less damage and taken a lot of stress off of the driver. But that would have taken an act of kindness and being helpful to someone else which is rare to find these days.

When inexperience meets panic.
This guy probably panicked and thought that he couldn't leave it there because of blocking the road, or backing up because of traffic behind him, and couldn't think of doing anything else other than just forcing it to do a U-turn even though it ment wrecking the truck.
if he back up 100 ft straight first then u turn at the T junction , but hey it was a bad decision.

Big brain time
I can sort of relate.
First time he got out he should have just kept walking.
Hehehe
+nitetrane98 LMFAO hell yea just toss his license hehehe
I thought the same thing. Call a taxi and just go home and let someone else deal with it xD
Hey man You are absolutely right about that. believe me I have made my fair share lol.
Lol 😂 what about his shit in the truck lol
I feel for him. He made a mistake he could NOT get out of
***** How did he get his license? They specifically test your ability to reverse...
***** I know that feeling of "Just another foot. It'll start coming around in just ONE MORE FOOT." and then it just gets worse instead of better. I'm not saying he was in the right. He definitely blew it and probably lost his job. But I can see the mentality.
I would have just waited for traffic to clear and backed up most people are just dying to record us truck drivers doing something stupid
I never get tired of watching this video. Whenever i have a bad day i come here and my mood lifts right up!
Get yourself some help bro. Feeling better by seeing someone in a bad situation isn't good.
after all this happened the driver found out he did fit under the bridge .
He wasn’t gonna fit man
He clearly wasn’t gonna fit
😂
😃
@@tonylove4342 I was being sarcastic
When 53ft trailers first came out, supposedly they were just going to be used on toll roads only, like triples are.But the greedy companies then wanted them to go everywhere, and this is what you get. They need to go back to 48ft trailers
They're all still 13'6" tall.
Feel his pain never easy being a new driver and getting in difficult situation like this.Person filming should have stopped filming and helped . I've grown up around trucks, and driven them.Hope it's not put him off,and learnt from it.
Damn! Where did you get your CDL?
Driver: What's a CDL?
he got it from crst
lol
+Dr. Dan Nelson MD PhD mexico has better drivers they run triple 53 footers
Josue Guzman "a big ole' whopper right now"
He pulled it out of a cereal box.
why didn't he back up and turn down that road
Affirmative action
would have been way too easy...
I agree with u mate. .
Jerry Little exactly man!!
Jerry Little because that be too easy
The poor guy was obviously just a rookie driving for USA Truck. Show a little compassion. Driving one of these monsters is harder than it looks.
No compassion from me. He should never drive a semi again.
Garmin?
He's doing an Austin Power move.
hhds113 😂😂😂😂😂💯
I thought of that too!! (^.^)
That's why the world is the way it is , because of useless bystanders that the only thing they know and are professionals at is just use profanity to get rid of their own mediocrity

amen.
What if he panicked and does not know what to do?
Clearly his seniors or company executives did not inform him of the processes needed to undertake during such a situation, e.g. staying calm. Often risk management is not communicated down the company hierarchy. This is the result. It is not his fault in the end.
he would still have a job and be better off by putting his flashers on and calling the cops to back him up
In reality, as long as the truck was still able to run, nothing probably happened.
John Scott oh, look at you... cheating with a cul de sac. I don't consider those u turns.
Ive been stuck in some bad situations before, but he tore the crap out of this truck, seems like he could of just backed straight, worst case call police to get you out safely. Shame on the mess. Leave yourself an out
I love how the homeless guy comes up to tell him how to drive
Brian Collopy lmao they always do
I thought he was going to give the homeless guy a shot at it
Lmao
How you know he’s homeless?🤔🤔🤔
Was he homeless?
He went full Swift... never go full Swift!
Hahahahahaha
+Diesel Videos
Swing Wide, It's a Fucking Truck.
See What I Fucked up Today.
+Diesel Videos too funny man
+Diesel Videos LOL!
He has TONS of room right off to the left to turn around. All he needs to do is back up 50 ft
At least he had his flashers on.
This driver is crazy !! He should put it on reverse and slowly back the truck till he gets enough space on his left to turn .
You clearly are not a trucker and never been a new trucker at that. Do you not understand as a new driver in a new situation, truck training and or common sense sometimes doesn't kick in as fast? All that stuff leaves your body. You start thinking rational after the fact or usually when u finally have another human being there to help out .
You can take the driver outta Swift but you can't take the Swift outta the driver!
No a swift driver .. Would have slide every thing to the front to give you more turning room
You can't take the dumb ass out of yourself. It's not even a swift truck there Einstein.
People bash a company but don't bash bad driver it's alot of dummies that work for top tier companies just saying 🤷
Lol good 1 bro....🤣🤣🤣
@@SVGIN i cant beleive i am living in a cruel world likes this
he should stop and should call police to help him go back is only the solution .don't be a hero!
That's right folks...in as little as 3 short weeks you could earn your CDL and be on the road to a promising career.
Or 1 week in the UK:)
he's so fkn fired
Imagine the drive back to the lot. I would drop the rig off. Apologize and fire myself
+Adrian Nava haha me to
I mean it's hard to feel sorry for the guy. Doing everything he wasn't supposed to do.
you'd think but USA probably sent back out with a trainer.
Yeah especially after completely destroying the truck and trailer, he should have just called it in and got the authorities there to assist.
Looks like he let stress get the best of him and let panic take over. Should have just gotten someone to spot for him so he could back out of there instead of attempting a U-turn.
Agreed. He panicked.
I feel really bad for him.
dont feel sorry for him if he cant deal with something that simple how many people will he mame or kill next time hes faced with a choice. next time it might be something tough or complicated. lets face fact the damage he did isnt less than running into the overpass. you just cant fix stupid
Shit happens don’t beat urself up at least no one was hurt and and you tried to avoid it the truck can be fixed don’t let NO ONE bring you down
rumor has it the guy is still there trying to U-turn his truck
He works at Swift now
cept for the fact it's not his truck...
Mike Garrison its his truck when he's driving it since hes responsible for it and the load hes hauling
brian craig the company is responsible for the truck and the load he is hauling. Responsible meaning whoever has to foot the bill. So your statement is 100% incorrect.
Haha I bet he worked at cr England or jB hunt to
He's probably fired because of the damage he did to company property and he thought he could make a U-turn with a dual axle truck with a 53 ft. trailer. I'm no CDL holder, but I know that he had better chances in making it go reverse. If I caught him before he tried the U-Turn I would have tried to assist him with the reversing, but if he was already like that when I got there, sorry but you already dug this hole.
Slayer John he went to work for swift and became a trainer.
You can do u turns all day with dual axles but not on that tight ass road
gimmietheloot1 heck yeah. I done lots of u-turns on roads before. Even with spread axles.
usually u turn caught on camera is automatic termination
I got a low bridge before I got out my truck and said move back or become cream puffs cause I'm backing up damnit they moved
YUKI JINJUJI omfg 😂😂😂
Why didn't he just back straight up like a 100 feet, then make the left turn? Probably a new driver.
"Stay Calm & Call the Cops"
I only got 6months of experience out on the road...only shit that fustrated me was my pay!!
"Gee, there are parts coming off the truck, I wonder if I am doing something wrong?"
Duuuuuh.
lol very true and well said
I know im sure that many of the persons critizing are kids that cant even move a smart car
gta4darksector Well you would be wrong! I drive transport trucks. The guy in the video obviously can not.
I guess you're saying you're better than all the other drivers out there. Like I said, everybody is human and makes bad choices sometimes, even on the road.
Deatch the trailer and then back.up and go reverse that way as long as the people behind know
I've see some stupid drivers in my time but this guy takes the biscuits.
Where did he get his licence.
he was like well, the tractor is already mess up, lets do the trailer too😜
