    Congrats on getting your new car. I hope it gives you all the choking and chugging your heart desires. Lots of hard starts and stalls if thats what you want. You're not the only one in this world that likes cranking, sputtering and stalling, then cranking again so don't ever be shy about it. There are plenty of us men out there in this world that like to start hard so thanks for posting your videos.

    Congratulations to this nice small car :-) Glad it still has a manual choke to play with hehe ;-)

    Love your videos. I’d love to see one from this view of you driving and having to deal with the struggles of it stalling out at stop signs and what not.

    Nice classic metro - must be one of the last with a manual choke? Like the way that choke 'clicks' in various stages. Also sounds really cold blooded which is great - still enjoying choke at four mins and that smoke must have smell awesome🤩

      @Manualchoke  6 месяцев назад +4

      Yeah it’s certainly towards the last batch built. I think the final ones were early 1994. The choke has a number of indents on the cable so as you push and pull it will click into place to keep it in the position. Definitely don’t want it to slip back in unexpectedly. Fantastic smell from the rich petrol

      @@Manualchoke Yeah really handy the choke stays in position - some bikes I've ridden have a spring loaded carb mounted choke that has to be held out otherwise it shuts off as soon as you let go. Right pain to cold start and invariably they get less choke time and end up been throttled cold. Even my DT's choke has to be held in any position between full on or off - otherwise it shuts off! I'm always giving it full choke for ages and keep it going as it bogs with a little throttle - loves the rich mixture😜

      Love the way you have the choke out at different positions and then push it in, causing it to stall or struggle....better than some cars!

      Your car is brilliant at all the choke positions either stalling, struggling, chugging or flooding. Perfect car!

    My very first car was a metro. Getting the choke right was quite a skill and there were a few embarrassing moments at red lights until I worked it out! It started pretty easily with the right setting though, unlike the Astra I had later.

      Hey. I’d love to hear more about your experiences with your metro and Astra. Getting the right amount of choke is always a challenge. Love your profile pic too. Never forget the Nova dash. It’s must have the choke out - I see the warning light illuminated!

    Your new metro sounds very chuggy on choke considering she’s cold , I bet she’d flood and stall if choke left out fully , have you tried a cold start yet with no choke ? , I’d love to try starting her 😊, our Morris minor still needs pretty much full choke to start from cold but it’s amazing watching Wendy try without choke wearing her high stiletto heels , I can just imagine Wendy behind the wheel of your metro wearing a long dress with a split right up the front showing off all her leg wearing her 5” stilettos , left hand holding the choke and turning the key with her right hand saying “ common please start “ , would drive me wild
