This is excellent! Love the bit towards the end where it really starts struggling and shaking. My favourite activity with an ex girlfriends old Nissan Micra was to see how long I could hold it on the very edge of stalling, where you get the lights flickering on the dashboard and everything's jumping and jolting around. It must have had a dodgy engine mount, because even through the soft 1980's seats, your whole body would be vibrated and jolted along to the struggling little engine. My favourite memory of this time was sitting on a morning in the passenger seat while she warmed it up. She had such a talent for soft, erratic revving, holding it just on the very edge of stalling. There was a lot of heavy petting while she sat and gently revved, and she even told me that the vibrations were a turn on and she loved the smell of petrol. We'd often have to run inside and finish off quickly before finally leaving. One image that sticks in my mind is her cheap pleather handbag she had with a huge, floppy pleather bow on the front of it, which she'd have sat on top of the dashboard while we kissed. The pleather bow would flop around to the jolting of the engine and she'd call it her "shudder guage" for how well the engine was warmed. I had a thing for pleather specifically (she also had one of those cheap, squeaky pleather jackets which was just the best!), so this whole scene just made the experience even better. Shame she was a psycho 😂
Hi mate. Thanks for watching. I’m glad you liked it. Totally love your story. I can certainly relate to a lot it myself too. The metro is very similar and you can feel the car chugging when it’s stationary and then when it starts to splutter the whole car shakes. Great childhood memories for me from my parent’s cars. Thanks for leaving the comment and watching. Feel free to reach out to me to chat further!
Thank you for your comment; amazing we are a lot To love cranking, reviing, sputtering and smelling petrol ! You reminds me my wife and some costudent in the old time ( and my Mum's dark garage)
Hi thank you ! The first time I did the same : 45 years ago, before having my driving licence, with my Mum's Peugeot 204, the rare days she was leaving home without her car 😊 But I though to be alone in the world to love flooding and cranking an old engine .....but we are a lot !
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. There are definitely people out there. Feel free to reach out to me if u want to chat more. Happy to share experiences. My contacts are in the video description. Talk soon
Just like me back in the day….my mom’s old Chevy chevette. By the time I was able to pump flood and crank that chevette, I was so excited and yes I was able to crank and pump the chevette and it was great and insane. I still remember that day I was able to have my way with the Chevette…I pumped the gas pedal and then I started to crank the engine and the Chevette started to violently shake and sputter and I just held the ignition key as I pumped away and that poor engine was begging me to stop cranking and I eventually got the engine running but barely…the gone was running rough and it had a slight engine miss but it was fun….the engine died on me and I started cranking and pumping again and this time the engine was trying so hard to run and me still holding the ignition key that I was forcing engine to run…lol this went on for about 5 minutes straight….
Love that shaking exhaustpipe with all that flooded black exhaust coming out🚙💨😈. Have been nice to sit behind that exhaustpipe when you coldstart and struggle 😎
Thanks for watching. Totally agree - just like old times from the 70’s -90’s. As people left their cars to warm up in the drive and return to a stalled flooded engine
Oh man I really would love to be stuck somewhere in this car and have it be really flooded and struggle to start and then sputter and stall out. I bet those fumes smell wonderful and I bet it feels great.
Oh that would be. Dream come true for me as well as yourself. Just imagine it now. The smell air filled with a strong flooded smell. Would love to chat more with you too!
Hi Thank you. Do you like petrol smelling with old sputtering cars ? Personnaly, I love it in memory of my Mum's dark cold garage 40 years ago. It is a pity we can't find it again with modern EFI engine ....
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you no enjoyed it. I gave lots more videos planned so I’m sure I will be able to accommodate your request. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to chat further.!
This car reminds me of my moms old chevette. That chevette was so easy to flood especially in the mornings. My mom would start up the chevette on her first crank and the engine would warm up and the idle would slow a bit and then the whole chevette would violently shake and sputter…then the engine would stall and die out….after that the chevette would just be flooded out and my poor mom would be cranking and pumping the gas pedal for at least 10-15 minutes…..eventually my mom bought a new car and left the chevette for me…later I would sometimes stay home from school and go crank and pump the crap out of the chevette and make it shake and sputter and stall out and die and then have more fun forcing the chevette to startup …..
Thanks for the comment. I was lucky to save it from conking out just in time. Love your profile pic! Fell free to reach out to me if u want to chat further.

It’s great view isn’t it and even better with the smell as it’s started and chugs. The smell as the air fills with the fumes & smoke
Wonderful, can’t beat a flooded car, great memories 😊

Fantastic, after the cold start struggle, my car would cough, wheeze and eventually stall, I loved that
