The greatest album in the history of music! My all time favorite singer & artist! As Don Cornelius once called him "the almighty Marvin Gaye"! R.I.P. my brother. God Bless!
I cant argue with your statement. "What's Going On" is more than a RECORD. It's a STATEMENT from the heart. About the world and human life. It's truly deep and powerful. Nobody except possibly Stevie on Innervisions. Has ever made an album even close to this. For its depth and consciousness.
Marvin left us a supreme legacy, he is sorely missed and will be forever loved and revered. Aguyje (Thank you in Guarani,) requiescat in pace, great king.
**Marvin Gaye** "What's Going On" Album Was **Iconic** And Still Is!!!! This Album Is: **The Album Of Truth** And Still Is, **52 Years Later** **Legendary**
I've became politically aware because of Brotha Marvin! Yes! He woke me up! I was only 16 when I first heard this song. The Album was a Masterpiece! It is still played over the airwaves up to today and beyond! Brotha Marvin plucked that universal vibration to where the unborn will hear it someday! Peace and love everyone!
Absolutely love Marvin Gaye & his inspirational message in his awesome sound. He left us way too early. Marvin was a musical /song writer & singer genius.❣️❣️❣️
I was out of the army in '71 and bought this...found myself listening to it over and over while I gazed at the ocean at Pismo Beach while I was a grad student in college. The overall sound and texture was really comforting even though the lyrics are unsettling.
Super songwriter and great composer he is the standard for future music artists regardless of genre. He's eloquent and very musically gifted. I can't see many having the same as Marvin these days. Kendrick Lamar for me is close to that but he's new songs are becoming generic as other rap songs.
I grew-up on this Type of music, started out of High School. Gratuated high school June 1968. Military career started july 1971-currently still serving. Celebrating 50yr. Career. YOUNG ALDULT LIFE Started SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. 1966.
Marvin is a high Density Soul who lived his purpose and has Ascended and gone home. He also helped us grow as a society. He is the King of Soul because he sang from his Soul to ours!!
He’s more than just what’s going on album. Listen to his albums from 71 - 82. Just because it’s not a hit on the charts doesn’t mean it’s not impactful globally.
Marvin didn't talk about "climate change" per se. He spoke about pollution, destruction of the environment, etc.. There's a difference. A clear difference. There was a classical element on the album as well, particularly the beginning of What's Happening Brother, and the end of Mercy Mercy Me. They're were others. Nonetheless, thanks for the video. Good work.
Blessings everyone GREAT WATCH HERE FOR EVERYONE "NOTHING IS AS IT SEEMS"? BY PROFESSOR WALTER VEITH AND MARTIN SMITH YOU TUBE POWERFUL POWERFUL WATCH FROM SOUTH AFRICA ENJOY ❤️🙏🏾😃💯
Very sad how this video tries to hijack Marvin's greatest album for the Marxist agenda of division. If you know this album like I have for over 20 years, you know that it calls for UNITY not division based on race - not black curriculums etc. Flying High was about Marvin's OWN drug addiction, I could have predicted you'd miss out the two most powerful tracks, God is Love and Wholey Holy, which tells us to 'come together' through Jesus Christ, not Karl Marx...Inner City Blues was talking about the high tax society and project life created by socialist policies. 'War is hell' as Marvin sang, but those driving global wars for economic/political gains are the same people utilising the 'useful idiots' to saw discord amongst the lower classes. The real issue is the common man, of all colours, needs to unite against the autocratic globalist elite.
What was your favourite track off the legendary What's Going On album?
My favorite is What’s Going On; my second, Save the Children.
"In the end"(c)
That's all
What’s Goin On, Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)
Егор Летов, ВЕЧНАЯ ВЕСНА.
Это всё, что необходимо знать современному человечеству про существующий счастливый мир.

What's happening brother?
His impact could never be measured. It’s foundational. It’s a pillar of music.

Especially his albums “Here, My Dear” and “I Want You”

Troy
Need to release a pure unadulterated, clean spiritual version of this albulm.
