Thanks for taking the time to watch my Moto G31 shenanigans, full Moto G200 review coming Wednesday, and I'm working on a Best Budget Phones Under £200 update for the holidays :) Cheers!
I've never felt the need to spend more than £180 for a smartphone, but priced at £130 it is an absolute steal. The AMOLED display is a big improvement over the IPS displays I'm used to.
DAMN, amoled 1080p for under 200 quid? 50 megapixel camera and ultrawide that’s not a useless 5 megapixel one. Plus a sufficient chipset for the price. This one is a real contender!!!
I've been using the Moto G4 plus for the last 4 years and it has been a really solid and reliable phone. The G31 will be my new upgrade, it's cracking VFM.
My first phone was the regular g4 I had it for a while then the battery got pregnant so I switched to an older hand me down galaxy s7 and now I'm ready to upgrade to this fella
Agreed! I have the moto g power (2021) which I got from Walmart for $94 and was skeptical it wasn't going to be good because of the price. But to my surprise it's pretty good for a budget phone. However it is a downgrade from last year's model but for a price like that I'm not complaining.
Funny, coz lots of (younger) Gizmo freaks prefer the specs laden offerings of Xiaomi, one plus oppo and their ilk, despite getting a mess of UI scooped up on top. Even the venerable One plus is going too loose their Oxygen OS to be merged with Oppo doss, so for a clean machine, us wiser (and older ?) will stick with Moto
@@reuireuiop0 yeah you have to compromise with those chinese phones for the very good specs with a lot of bloatware and bad software support. The only unwanted bloatware i have on my motorola is facebook which i keep uninstalling.
I bought one two days ago as part of an 'upgrade' before all the cost of living goes up (I saved a bit aside). Great phone. Loving the stereo sound, the chance to customise the fonts on pure android. Great camera, NFC and just a fantastic all rounder. The case which came free with the phone helped whilst I was waiting for a proper case for the phone to come. Great review and well worth it.
@@westscape2 thanks. I've been thinking about buying this phone. When I searched on Google, it said that the speaker was only mono, but I've seen some videos saying that it was stereo, so I was a bit confused. Is it a good phone? Would you recommend it for this price range?
Yes the phone is pretty good for the price. The OLED screen can give vivid colours but is no brighter than a normal screen. The sound pretty good through the speaker but I miss my stereo G8 Power which was better! I got my G31 from Argos on offer at £149 and they just happen to send a voucher for another £10 off over £100 spend so I only paid £139! As phones go this is good for the money.
A year on and I've just bought one of these after dropping my phone last week. The surprise is it's actually really good. Battery is great, screen is great but I find that either you can set the display colours to vibrant which is too much or standard which is a bit dull. Other than that it's snappy in operation, loud, call quality is very good and it's not dropped WiFi yet. It's ok.

Do you have problems with your G30? Mine is new and slow to respond generally; takes forever to charge with the std charger; search in settings doesn't work and loads photos thumbnails really slow?
Last 3 phones have been motorola's, definately one of the most reliable brands in the world when it comes to smartphones. The G31 will be my 4th, thanks for the review!
Wait crazy!!! Motorola finally made a compact phone, with 5000mA battery, a side mounted finger print sensor, 64Gb memory SD slot headphones and all? Pretty good, have it for couple months, works fine apart from the occasional hiccup, it not being the all around powerful gadget like the regular Xiaomi stuff (but put up with that messy Xi UI -compared to that heap of noodles, Moto is razor straight) Do consider the slow loading times, taking several hours to get back to full load. If yer disciplined, don't let it go to far under 30% & you be fine, the battery mostly lasts long enough under normal use. But at 5w loading, a power bank needs to stay connected all the time when batt run flat. Apart from that, you'll buy one of the better priced Motos, surely compared to what you get in g41 and G51.
I have a Moto G 31 phone and I love it. In my opinion it doesn't feel like a budget phone because for a cheap phone it has a fantastic Amoled display. And while it isn't exactly powerful, it still gets the job done. I love Android as it is way better than the iPhone though iPhones are brilliant for software updates and it's cameras. However Samsung is one Android brand I don't like very much. Samsung may be the main competitor to the iPhone but Samsung phones have too much bloatware, they copy the iPhone by removing the headphone jack and other cool stuff and some of their phones are really crap like the flip phones which have problems with battery life and the infamous crease. Motorola phones are very underated and I highly recommend them because they offer a clean Android interface and are the closest third party Android phones to Pixel.
Need some help! Which MOTO G phone gives me an OLED screen, 5g connectivity and super strong battery life for under $250. I've had the Moto G7 and G8 Power, as well as the Moto G 5G. I'd like the long battery life like I got from the G7 & G8 Power phones, but speed of the Moto G 5G, with an OLED screen. I'm using a One plus Nord N10 now, as my latest phone. But the battery life is horrible and I like the Moto G phones better. Thanks! NOTE-My phones are usually the GSM international versions, but they work fine on Tmobile here in the U.S.
@@reuireuiop0 thank you for responding to my inquiry. I watch your channel a lot when it comes to Motorola phones. Almost all of my phones have been the European versions, so hopefully I can find the model that you just recommended.
Ok...as the one reviewer I trust...( No pressure then). My Nokia 5.3 was perfectly adequate until it bumped into the concrete driveway at speed.. What's a better replacement? G30 at £140 or full price G31 I've never had OLED so basic gaming and camera snaps take precedence. Any advice appreciated....Cheers.
I just got the G32. Probably a step sideways rather than a successor. Has IPS rather than AMOLED and dual SIM + microSD. Stereo sound from two speakers though I'd rather use headphones or a Bluetooth speaker, both of which I already have, tested with the G32 and work ok. Many similarities to the G31 in this video though it came with Android 12, I immediately upgraded it to Android 13. Probably there won't be any later Android versions but I'm not sure. But at £90 its a great price - I think these are the last few they have in stock.
It seems like the camera section is bleak with no natural colors but, if you are a gamer then it is a good choice as it has a nice Helio G85 processor.
You're personal trainer wasn't lookin' too good. Just sayin'. 12:07 - 12:09 I like what they've done at this price point. Oled screens - finally! Fair chipset. An old school Moto brought up to date.

Apart from that, you'll buy one of the better priced Motos, surely compared to what you get in g41 and G51.
does it support wifi call/voLTE? there are reports that it doesnt, which would make the phone a joke.
Value for money totally worth buying
Yup...you buy it l won't be ...
How's the performance ?
The only thing that Moto provides only one update for Android
can someone tell me WHERE HE GETS HIS WALLPAPERS FROM!!??
Amazingggg!
Whats the name of thr the anime anyway??

Moto edge 20 lite
Might cost a bit more, but over here it's on offer for 265€
@@reuireuiop0 thank you for responding to my inquiry. I watch your channel a lot when it comes to Motorola phones. Almost all of my phones have been the European versions, so hopefully I can find the model that you just recommended.
When comes the G41 review??Thanx!!
Hi hope you have a merry Christmas how much was the phone
Is it better than the G22?
Is that a good buy for £119 in the uk?
It's a great deal cos I bought for 210 € last month👍
Ok...as the one reviewer I trust...( No pressure then).
My Nokia 5.3 was perfectly adequate until it bumped into the concrete driveway at speed..
What's a better replacement? G30 at £140 or full price G31
I've never had OLED so basic gaming and camera snaps take precedence.
Any advice appreciated....Cheers.
Can't open my SIM draw pls show how to 😭
I've seen the G32 available. Is it the successor to this?
I just got the G32. Probably a step sideways rather than a successor. Has IPS rather than AMOLED and dual SIM + microSD. Stereo sound from two speakers though I'd rather use headphones or a Bluetooth speaker, both of which I already have, tested with the G32 and work ok. Many similarities to the G31 in this video though it came with Android 12, I immediately upgraded it to Android 13. Probably there won't be any later Android versions but I'm not sure.
But at £90 its a great price - I think these are the last few they have in stock.
Gosh Motorola has gone up in the world. Unfortunately I’m old enough to remember having the t720 lol 😂
Great video.
Love the specs
Another great phone from Motorola
It's 150 euro in India with a 20w inbox chartering fingerprint sensor on the back for 4 64

Which wi-fi version is in G31 and G51?
It seems like the camera section is bleak with no natural colors but, if you are a gamer then it is a good choice as it has a nice Helio G85 processor.
Where to get all these wallpapers?
what about screen recording
You're personal trainer wasn't lookin' too good. Just sayin'. 12:07 - 12:09
I like what they've done at this price point. Oled screens - finally! Fair chipset. An old school Moto brought up to date.

I wish they added Bruce Lee wakoou voice when activating the chop chop flashlight.
Turning on flashlight is cool
Does it support hdr on RUclips?
We love Motorola but there's no official store in Ghana, this will be more than double the price when it gets to Ghana through the profit loving retailers
