    I completely messed up with the attack patterns for the berserkir axes. This means the new duel axes are extremely viable. Here is an updated table: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mHXjjkZPFMcW9uAAYzlDDR9jezvNiA8_/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=110667111666182179912&rtpof=true&sd=true. Sorry to all you duel axe enjoyers...
    I've also updated the description to reflect patch 0.218.14

      Also, 10-30 dmg more or less on different weapons often don't matter when you 2 hit that ennemy with most weapons, making attack speed and range and even knockback in some cases more important. not to mention ease of use when facing multiple ennemies at once.
      I always need just 2 hits killing an archer, with the 2 handed sword, the nidhogg, the mace, the axes. Raw numbers often don't mean much.

      I totally agree, that's why the numbers in my videos aren't just the damage numbers. The numbers are a weighted average DPS calculated from the average time to kill. A good example of this, is how the silver sword does slightly more damage than the level 3 mistwalker but the numbers come out to about the same because they take the same amount of hits to kill and have the same attack speed. The lvl 4 silver sword and lvl 2 storm star both take 3 hits to kill an Archer at skill lvl 30 but the storm star has a much higher number in my document due the faster attack speed. I hope this clarifies and I agree, raw numbers are not enough.

    The Staff of Embers is still really good at AoE, it's not going to be doing a whole bunch of fire damage of course, but the blunt damage is really nice.

    • @JondarKorric
      @JondarKorric 3 месяца назад

      except it does. the Staff of Embers is my Mages main weapon, and it 2 shots Marksmen, and kills their 1 star variants in 3-4 shots (as well as killing no star warriors in 3-4 shots). whomever added Fire Resistance to their page on the wiki is full of it.

    • @BeezerGutlr
      @BeezerGutlr 3 месяца назад

      @@JondarKorric They are definitely very resistant to fire. But they aren’t immune, and since the staff of embers does around 130+ fire damage a hit, they’re still susceptible to the burst damage of blunt and fire. The DoT from the fire is where it won’t be very useful, I’ve only ever gotten as high as 30 damage a tick against the charred.

    • @JondarKorric
      @JondarKorric 3 месяца назад

      @@BeezerGutlr if they were Very Resistant, the numbers would be grey which they're not, or did everyone forget that the damage numbers change color depending on the weaknesses or resistances of a mob. not to mention if they were, the Fire Damage from the initial hit would be reduced to around 33 which, again, it isn't.

    I doubt no star char marksman do 200 dmg...just dun feel they are this powerful. Isn't this should be 1star marksman's dmg?

    • @JondarKorric
      @JondarKorric 3 месяца назад +1

      because it isn't 200. before getting the Embla set, I was using the Eitr Weave set, which is significantly less armor than any heavy or medium armor, and was taking nowhere near enough damage per shot for it to be 200, video is full of misinformation because apparently if its on the wiki it MUST be true.

    Did you do much testing with the silver sword?? I'm curious how the spirit damage plays into your numbers.

    • @back-to-basics-gaming
      @back-to-basics-gaming  4 месяца назад +1

      I certainly did, the results are linked in the description. The silver sword does about the same amount of damage as the mistwalker since both have spirit damage but the mistwalker trades some of that for base and frost damage. In the end, they come out about equivalent in terms of real DPS but the mistwalker has the distinct advantage of slowing down enemies with frost damage. The mistwalker also pulls ahead of the silver sword more once upgraded to level 4.

      @@back-to-basics-gaming thanks for the response. I was really hoping the silver sword was the secret awesome weapon in the ashlands but it seems that it's not. Still impressive for a silver age weapon to contend so well, but not the winner overall.

    • @JayMcNeil-w2v

      I also wonder if the damage over time. makes it a good defensive weapon in a sense where you can attack and then back off and allow the damage to tick over time. I'll do some testing once I get to the ashlands myself to see how I feel it stacks up. I'll have the Krom and the Miss Walker with me also!

    "staff of embers doesn't do much" fucking what? Staff of Embers with a decent Elemental Magic level, 2 shots both Twitchers and Marksmen, and kills their 1 Star Variants in 3-4 shots. where the fuck are you getting that they're resistant to Fire too, Charred have no resistance to fire whatsoever despite what the wiki would have you believe. the only mob other than the Boss with any kind of resistance to Fire are the Lava Blobs which are flat out immune to fire. and even then, the Staff of Embers also does Bludgeoning Damage, which the blobs don't have any resistance to.

    The fact that charred warriors can deal both slash and pierce damage its kinda nutty, thanks for the review its made alot clear to me now 🫡
