I think these estimates are at least 30 to 50 % lower than reality. London is a very expensive place to live in. I grew up in London and I know what I'm talking about my friend
I remember trying to find a small studio in London and it was impossible, extremely high prices, low quality, dirty bathrooms and the rising mortality of children exposed to mold in households is crazy...
Thank you for the video. This is very very conservative rates for rent and gas. My friend told me bills ars x5 on gas and electricity . I remember looking at rents months ago nothing under 300pounds a week for a crappy small box :( For a decent monthly i would say 2500 is a mininum. I am not saying luxury, prices are insane.
Unfortunately these figures are based on data from the past 5 years! I have split a flat with friends previously in zone 2 and I paid £600 a month - this year is crazy with rents and bills :/
Don't eat out don't join a gym don't do any outdoor entertainment , buy second hand clothes second hand books , use foodbank use community shop buy food from outdoor markets like Brixton market supermarkets expensive walk or use bike for travelling or work from home. try get council flat. and go to boot sales they sell everything cheap including groceries. and go dumpster diving marks & spencer shops excellent for dumpster diving. Cost of living in England is DISGUSTING. Vote Labour. Also join Library and do free courses for unemployed. or cheaper courses if you are working. Check out Brixtom & Lambeth College. and you can buy cheap second hand exercise equipment at boot sales buy dumbells kettle balls exercise at home.
You have absolutely no idea what youre saying that London is not good cyclists! Myself, I use Santander Cycling Scheme for past 3 years where by paying 70-90£ PER YEAR I have unlimited 30 min, since last year 1h journeys. There is already so many docking stations & theyre still building new ones! Now they gave electric ones as wl, and still Im not speaking about other companies like Lime, Uber cycling etc, which a loot around the city. There is so many cycling routes in London that to be honest as I use from the Scheme 3 years maybe 1 per 3 months Im using a public transport which is extremely rare considering I work full time & cycling in most cases will take you to a destination 2x or 3 x faster than this overcrowded, delayed & expensive bus! You didnt do the reserch here at all.
On second zone to rent room just room is minimum 600 pound and actually if you want to have big room is 700 pound. If you want live alone in central city? You mean studio flat? Studio flat 1-2 zone it's minimum 1300 pounds plus bills....
Zone 1 single for 1100? It's higher than that. I'm seeing 1400+ for studios and 1800+ for 1 bedroom. Rents are out of control in London. Everyone is being priced out and moving to the outskirts to survive. If you are thinking of moving here, don't, it's a complete mess---at best a zero-sum game.
Hi, Thanks for the video. Could you help me with the following? What are the localities near Cambridge where the housing is comparatively cheap? 15 miles from Cambridge with connectivity via train is okay.
A studio flat in the worse areas in london is 900 pounds it's ridiculous to live here, The only way to live is with a partner or even 3, to split the bill

I think these estimates are at least 30 to 50 % lower than reality. London is a very expensive place to live in. I grew up in London and I know what I'm talking about my friend
and you'd be right
Same here.
Yeah this is true. I live in london too and it's double the cost that she said
i love the way you speak

Rubbish, £500 around Greenwich, £0 on my daily commute to Canary Wharf.
London life is rather pleasant if you know how to display some pragmatism.
I’ll move in three weeks to London, and I started to search 2 dorm apartments there… the minimum I found was around 1,300pcm (without bills) 😭
This year has been crazy! 😢
Move up North, It's more affordable to rent a house or apartment.
1000 as rent ? Your having a laugh lady, it’s £1600 for a studio flat, excluding all bills,
True and she said zone 1 , that’s impossible
😮😮😮😮
Yeah it's expensive now. You lucky if you find 1200£ exclusing bills and that's not even in london area

Yep, 1300pcm is about right for a studio, a tiny, old studio.
Am I have a question what is the cost of living for a student from other country studying in London? How much does it cost?
It's one of the most expensive places to live. If you don't have money saved, I wouldn't move here. Not worth it.
How is possible yo pay 50£ / month for the utilities?: In UK you have: WATER, LIGHT, GAS, WIFI, COUNCIL TAXES...all of those for 50£???
It was an average for the past five years (excluding 2022) - unfortunately 2022 is an outlier and usually the living cost isn't not crazy like 2022!
I'm paying 100/mo for just water and council tax. In total, more like 200/mo. I moved here 2016 and never payed as low as 50/mo.
Unless she is sharing with 3 others in a 1 bedder crammed liked prisoners somehow miraculously getting the bills that low.
I loved your video, I had been in londron three month ago and I Just spend 70 usd for two weeks

IS It true, nowadays, IS the same to pay the tube with a credit card than with the OYSTER card??
Hi,
Thanks for the video. Could you help me with the following?
What are the localities near Cambridge where the housing is comparatively cheap? 15 miles from Cambridge with connectivity via train is okay.
Hi Vineesh, make sure to check Zoopla or Rightmove - they are commonly used platforms to look for accommodation!
You are totally wrong, sorry
Please drop a more accurate suggestion in your opinion.
Where in central London can you find a flat to rent for £1000, pls show me. Double that and you can hardly find something decent even then.
Ridiculous figures. Chelsea in a dump of a studio 2000 a month because they know they’ll get it for the demand is huge
A studio flat in the worse areas in london is 900 pounds it's ridiculous to live here, The only way to live is with a partner or even 3, to split the bill
Yess that's what I did and it helped to reduce my rent massively
Nobody is telling u to live or forcing anyone to live in England.
Hi how are you doing
What about entertainment and internet and gym ?
Not drinking and not smoking
Internet £10-£30 and gym £30-£40 per month!
This is cost was assessed on which month?
Based on my experience in the past 5 years and they are taken as average :)
lol not sure how you are getting these low figures, £600 for rent hahaha no way
Just when you said it - I did a new video on 'How to Save Money Living in London' where I talked about how I spent only £600 on rent!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you ❤️
Never laughed so hard… total bull
I pay £2.7k for 2 bed in zone 1
london is so much better than new york
To certain degree yes!
