i got absolutely destroyed, i was weak to Ice and my other Demon to Light, i actually mistakenly thought the AI knew my weaknesses and was switching up Shards accordingly
When I first ran into this fight, I got my ass handed to me. After finding out ol' Scooby Doo over there was weak to Force, I changed up my team specifically for that bastard, then it was all over.
I got walled by this guy going in blind 2 levels under leveled, I just equipped absorb ice, collected hidden items I skipped and made some new demons with ice resist, then gained two more levels and beat him first try. I did not know he kept reviving the dog so I wasted a lot of turns killing the dog a bunch of times.
This was one of the hardest boss fights for me tbh. Very few demons at this point resisted both ice and light (King Frost and Anahita are the main ones) but they got demolished by carnage fang
Been playing jrpgs my whole life and the combat mechanics in this game are so different for me. Kinda fun figuring out the strategies. Learning something new all the time.
he managed to kill one of my demons but thats becuase i was saving up my magastsuhi expecting to fight the qadistu next, the creation route boss of this chapter is soo much harder lol. but vengeance makes up for it by having a much harder taito/empyrean. the penultimate boss was insanely hard imo
It’s definitely easy once you team build but going into it blind I didn’t even start my turn before dying. I would imagine it’s the same for anyone with a party member weak to ice.
This game is designed to not have bosses die in one attempt since weakness is so important. But this guy seems more easily countered than any other boss so far imo
Nah i disagree cause he revives his pet like everytime his pet dies and if you aren't doing excessive grinding its pretty hard even with alice fused. Him, namaah cause aoe charm, and then Lilith fight have given me struggles and i know part of it is my negligence on filling out the compendium to blame but finding ways to beat them was euphoric outside of Namaah where i relied on seal proc lasting long enough to beat her both times even though looking back i could have fused Vouivre which would make charm less scary. Also struggled against the Qadistu here cause she could oneshot some of my demons and those demons were vital to my strategies. I think i would still be stuck on Yuzuru if not for Die for me. Alice hard carried me in some of the fights. Also the level curve jump in the 4th area is insane in fact so insane i had to get like 20 levels to fight the first boss of the area. I would say the easiest boss in the game takes place inside the diet building when you go there for recon after all the crazy stuff has happened before going to the fourth area. Canon of vengeance route has felt really magic favored but now it feels like me using a physical bino so far has payed off. That said i am not committed to a build yet cause i want to see all the new moves the game has added and i hear thalassic calamity got buffed which i never played og 5 so i don't know what magic was like before vengeance but magic has been buffed pretty heavily from what i have heard and seen. With all that said Fionn Mac Cumhail is my favorite fights in the game so far. Just hearing that OST and fighting him has always been exhilarating for me
He can't revive his pet if he is dead and never gets an attack like you see here. I didn't grind at all either. If you have any issues with bosses I have a lot of guides up but am working on more further into the game as well
@@purplatypus7405 Nah i prefer to struggle and learn as i go personally. I appreciate the offer but what fun is learning a game if you don't enjoy the tension? Like i said as well is part of my struggles can be blamed on me not always updating the compendium and constantly fusing new demons and yeah your strat doesn't seem to need demons level 40 however for the longest time i was valuing flexibility maybe a little too much and trying to stick to blanced team comps severely limiting my team options. Now i am at the temple of eternity in the game and going back to do some sidequests i have not done yet. Been having a blast. If i do use a boss guide or two i will probably be looking at the ones for superbosses at most if anything. Been having a blast with vengeance so far. I hope i didn't come off as rude or anything. Also i know i might sound stupid but i didn't realize null, drain and repel cancelled an enemy's turn altogether until after fighting yamata no orochi the one with like 16 turns.
