Just so you know renewals already give dusk field grenades a stasis cristal, so you can change touch of winter for shatter dive for mobility or winter shroud for defense. Plus I suggest you use whisper of hedrons for the 60 stat points in mob, rez, and recov. It makes you tank even Crota’s attacks and heal before the next one, it’s nuts
Using this general build, me and my partner cleared legend duo on midtown!! Its really great. I didn't use refraction or shards, and used font of intellect and a surge rather than kickstarts with verglas curve. I'd recommend rending as it really helps you to break the crystals (they ALWAYS take to long to break when you need them to) and to deal higher damage in round 30+

Additionally, the major buff it gives to frozen target damage is vital - it allows it to continue killing in the later rounds. Nothing is scarier than when it's round 46 and you can't get your kill quickly to start the verglas cycle Although, this is just my experience, YMMV
This build is not only amazing now, but in final shape it will be insane, with stylish executioner, you have even more survivabilty with invis on anything that enters your duskfield, is hit with your melee, or if you decide to use winters shroud, your dodge. However, with gunpower gamble, your elemental keyword kills will charge up a proper damaging grenade that you would normally lose out on with this build, in addition to the trancendance one, which are both sources of invis. (not to mention how absolutely OP the exotic class item is gonna be) some spinfoils for trait combos; if the soul of bombardiers retains its subclass synergy then there is no longer a need to run winters shroud if osmiomancy gives two grenades or increased grenade charge rate from direct hits (cant just work with coldsnap cause titan and hunter dont have those) the build completely changes to a run from pocket to pocket on target enemies verities brow could be an invaluable source of grenade regen especially with headstone or chillclip weapons this is the build I thought of immediately when I saw hunters had duskfield at the campaign launch, and I cant wait to try it
I really enjoy this build with verglas curve. It keeps the ability regeneration buff from whisper of shards active almost 24/7 and you can one shot stasis crystals with a bow. I also believe because you asked this, the reason it took 3 shots for the small stasis crystal to break is because someone else on your fireteam made it. I figured this out because it takes two shots from a bow to break friendly stasis crystals, rather than one shot for the stasis crystals I make when using verglas curve. This is on of my favorite stasis builds. Great video man!
Renewal Revenant has been my go to build for a long long time now! I've used a handful of different weapon loadouts but definitely seem to have locked it in now. Timelost Fatebringer w/Adept Big Ones, Indebted Kindness w/Voltshot & currently I run an Auto-Loading x Vorpal Hothead to make better use of Surges. Indebted Kindness with an Arc Surge is a great "Oh sh*t!" Back up damage option. I've found Salvagers Salvo & Forbearance are also great pairings, shoot - Snowglobe - shoot with the Demolitionist reload. Thunderlord was been a pretty surprising backup heavy option also. But I seem to have settled on the Fatebringer, Indebted Kindness, Hothead loadout as it covers all champions, has great damage potential. Once i get the Sidearm from Warlords Ruin thought I'm definitely going to reevaluate!
Buried Bloodline with the catalyst would absolutely slap with this build. I can’t guarantee that it’d do as much damage as indebted kindness cause I don’t have one yet, but devour with this build would be insane. You would make an already tanky build even tankier and thanks to devour your grenade uptime will skyrocket even further
@@shadohhz01 Nope, a lot of the time I don't really feel like I need one. For harder content it also makes it easier if I do actually need an Exotic for something I can swap quickly without too much fuss.
Hey Mactics, I’ve been working on a build Shade binder Aspects: bleak watcher/ice flair bolts Fragments whisper of rending/chains/fissures/shards Weapons: Primary-any good headstone (I use eyasluna) Energy-Tessellation Heavy-I’m using ether hammer head or a Hullabaloo with chain and volt shot Then for boss room prolly swap to apex for damage or edge transit Exotic armor: Osmiomancy And for mods just kinda the normal grenade regen focused mods with resist mods and syphon mods And for artifact just all the stasis mods will help this build also Idea is to consume a grenade for tessellation the throw the next grenade for direct impact which should (depending on how many enemies you hit) could get back both grenades. Then swap between throwing turrets , direct impacts and consuming grenades for tessellation high damage shots for chunky enemies. Also using your headstone gun to create stasis crystals and destroying them for grenade regen, also tessellation has built in demo sorta so kills with that will get grenade energy back as well. Then use heave whenever you feel like it. The build base good add control with stasis warlock and its aspects, it has good burst damage with tessellation and heavy can help fill in where it feels lacking. It struggles vs tormenters due to not a lot of precision damage but i keep divinity on me to swap to when they spawn so teammates can melt him then I switch back to tessellation. Would appreciate feedback on this
Remade an old version of my renewal build from when elemental wells were a thing, and i realized renewal grasps actually spawns a stasis crystal without having to use touch of winter. Even though since this is a duskfield grenade build, and it makes sense to run the aspect that buffs your grenade, i opted to drop it to run winters shroud for extra utility and cc. How i look at it, renewal graps kinda gives you touch of winter for free with its effect, so might as well use another aspect even though they do stack with eachother.
Stasis just feels like it’s missing something. We’re getting Frost Armor in TFS, but that still doesn’t really change its gameplay. Feels like it’s missing an entire elemental “verb” like there should be something along side Slow and Freeze/ Shatter.
8:35 If I remember correctly range effects damage to stasis crystals so the large one was probably within 2-tap range while the smaller crystal was farther away, taking 3 shots
This run was so much fun just watching everything freeze there with two Osmiomancy Warlocks and the Renewal build. Happy I was there to help with this run!!!! Looking forward to seeing a updated Osmio build from ya Mac once you get around to it for Onslaught.
The Hive Build Weapons: Nox Perennial V, Ammit AR2, Parasite Exotic armor: Swarmers Abilities: Healing rift, threadling grenade Aspects: weavers call, mindspun invocation Fragments: thread of evolution, threat of generation, threat of continuity, threat of rebirth Mods- Helmet: discipline 3, Dynamo, harmonic siphon, special ammo finder Gloves: strength 3, Grenade Kickstart, momentum transfer, impact induction Chest: resilience 4, charged up, sniper damages resistance Legs: resilience 4, strand weapon surge, solar weapon surge Bond: resilience 4, distribution, time dilation. A lot of strand threadling builds that I've seen rely a lot on releasing a large amount of threadlings all at once. This build is designed to give you a steady flow of threadlings continuously with multiple ways of spawning and supplying you with those little bugs. I put the ability armor mods that fit best with my armor, but you can use whichever armor mods fit best for you. Obviously resilience was my top priority, followed by strength and discipline. The major powerhouse for champions and large bosses is of course the parasite grenade launcher. I have been able to one shot champions using that.
I feel like I'm a slave to your videos because everytime you post a hunter build I haven't used in a while I'm like "well that looks like a shit ton of fun" and main that build until you post another fun build i like. Ive been maining your wormhusk tommy solar build since your first vid on it and now Ill probably rock stasis for a while, especially seeing how strong it is for onslaught
if you don't want to use sunshot, or want more stasis crystals, use verglass curve. hail barrage is good, and its own stasis crystals proc stasis siphon. but another thing, verglass also 1 shots all stasis crystals. basically free whisper of rending. ik its a bow, but its a good stasis weapon option to use.
and if you have it craftable, you can add Prodigal Return from season of defiance for a blinding GL with envious/lead for gold and harmony. multiple on demand blinds and with a little damage buff added in for bonus!
@macticsG1 Verglass curve stasis bow with that and it’s even better. Warlock with verity brow stasis grenade glacier. Mods for grenade, stasis reloader, stasis weapon surge, heavy can be anything but I prefer stasis cold comfort or LMG from kings-fall with headstone or anything with head stone. Bonus with the a sword with bait and switch it activates EASILY with the bow crystals counting it and the side arm from warlords ruin. I can’t really explain it so well sorry but trust it works well!
I use buried bloodline to get me devour so I get health and grenade energy. I then run a demolitionist mountaintop. I throw nades every like 3-5 seconds it’s completely ridiculous. I also use a special finisher along with the grenade kickstart. So if I’m ever running low on anything special ammo wise I can do two things. Use a heavy machine gun (which also has demolitionist) or I can finish something for some special ammo to restart the cycle
I do this with ager's scepter and whisper of hedrons fragment. Hedrons is really good cuz when you freeze just one target you get +60 mobility resilience and recovery, +30 stability, +15 aim assist, and +20 airborne effectiveness. So my starting stats are 40 100 50 100 60 40 but after I freeze a target my stats are 100 100 100 100 60 40 which is really strong.
I have a build I enjoy using its solar hunter with caliban’s hand and explosive knives. With aspects Knock’em down and On your mark. For aspects, and for the fragments: tempering, searing, torches, empyrean, and solace. Healing grenades, gamblers dodge, triple jump, and blade barrage. For armor mods. Helmet: minor res mod, 2x Hands-on, 1 harmonic siphon. Arms: minor res mod, 1 heavy handed, 1 impact induction, 1 focusing strike. Chest: res mod, 1 arc res, 1 void res, 1 solar res. Legs: res mod, 1 absolution, 1 recuperation, 1 better already. Cloak: res mod, 1 powerful attraction, 1 outreach, 1 distribution. Energy weapon can be anything that has incandescent or sunshot, ticuu’s divination, jötunn, or Polaris lance. I recommend a shotgun or smg like the ikelos sg or calus mini tool.
I like renewals with winterbite. WB does good damage against beefier targets, and freezes everything. Taking less self damage is also a plus. Pair it wih a kinetic tremor Midnight Coup and everything freezes and shatters
Strand banner titan with precious scars and final warning. Basically you are un-killable and output a ton of damage with final warning. The aspects: Into the fray Banner of war The fragments: Thread of warding Thread of continuity Thread of rebirth Thread of isolation or evolution Shackle grenade to stun unstoppables Also the 2 strand artifact mods.
I’ve been using this build with witherhoard it seems weird Ik but in higher rounds they are so tanky so when you duskfeild them you witherhoard into the field so they are frozen on the pool and take tones of dmg so when they push up they are already dead or very close too
Hey mactics I just wanted to point out whenever you are doing onslaught you can use two supers at the start. Just open the door jump up and use super turn around and hit the rally flag and run into the room and pop super again. I've used it with stasis strand solar and void and it helps make the bosses get cooked
I was using this build with buriedbloodline it was great. Getting health and grenade energy so fast that i could spam in a metter of a sec or two from the synergy.
As far as i know with renewal grasp while you're inside the duskfield with the stasis crystal you gain damage resistance, when the enemy is inside the duskfield with the crystal it reduces their damage output, if and when the crystal is destroyed the effect goes away, it was used a lot in pvp back then when stasis hunter was op
this build is really solid, but I want to add, that with the bow verglas curve you can create even more stasis crystals and so even more shattering dmg.
Here’s a build I’ve beat legend several times with already: I call it: Absolute Lockdown. This build is all about locking down lanes with Hierarchy of Needs. You build up the ring, set yourself far back enough to see one/two sightlines, and then just spam shot through the ring and shred everything from afar. It does great single target damage, shreds thru adds, builds super incredibly quickly, and you almost always have an another ring up after the first. Spam shots as fast as you can thru the ring with the catalyst since the draw speed will be insane. You will also have your well up constantly. Make sure you play back enough to cover one/two choke points with the ring and you can lock down all spawns. Solar Warlock: Well Of Radiance Abilities: Healing Rift, Burst Glide, Celestial Fire, Healing Grenade Aspects: Icarus Dash, Touch Of Flame Fragments: Empyrean, Torches, Solace, Combustion Exotic Armor: Phoenix Protocol. Prioritize Resilience and Discipline Kinetic: Scatter Signal/Riptide or auto/recomb MT Energy: Hierarchy of Needs w/ catalyst Heavy: Apex Predator or Edge Transit Helmet: Solar Siphon, Power Preservation, Powerful Friends Arms: Harmonic Loader, Impact Induction, Harmonic Dexterity Chest: Harmonic resist, arc or void, and concussive dampener Legs: Solar Surge x2 Class: powerful attraction, time dilation, and bomber I hope you enjoy and slay out hard with this one. Supremely with enhanced rewind and enhanced kinetic for tank enemies is ridiculously good. It only takes two hits to proc enhanced KT and you never have to reload. Also melts the boss.
I’m a massive stasis hunter fan, I run a similar build and would recommend it with a demo glaive like Judgement of Kelgorath. You can throw down your dusk field and get to smackin’ It’s actually a ton of fun and viable too! I use it with the dawning arc glaive to get a bit more energy from the origin trait.
the only thing I'd swap is the hand cannon. 1 I hate that gun but 2 you don't have anti barrier covered. You could be running Polaris and leveraging the radiant buff. You have stasis and ignitions for unstoppable and the rocket for overload. I guess you have radiant nade launcher with this but that's been inconsistent for me
I use Wicked Implement. headstone is really good for extra crystals for even more Grenade recharge. Plus it has the ability to stun two types of champs. That being Unstoppable and Overload.
my personal setup (not for legend, but i think that it could still work decently well) is: class: nighstalker aspects: vanishing step, stylish executioner fragments: echos of cessation, underminig, starvation and harvest abilities: any grenade will work, i personally use magnetic but vortex would likely work better in legend, marksmans dodge (shortest cooldown) and deadfall (quickest regen, best for ad clear and mass debuff spread) exotic: gyrfalcons haulberk (we love volatile rounds and making everything purple) mods: harmonic syphon (yummy orbs), heavy ammo finders and scouts, focusing strike and bolstering detonation (class ability keeps us alive when we cant kill enemies), personal choice arms mod (i use firepower but i wouldnt expect many grenade kill in legend so probably replace with momentum transfer for more smokes), your choice of chest mods (resists, reserves, you know the deal), double void weapon surge (if you can fit 3 i would recommend you do so, your primary and heavy will hit like small semi trucks if you do so), reaper, time dilation and bomber weapons: primary: anything that hits hard, i personally use a scatter signal but on the more open maps you could absolutely argue for a sniper, or you could even argue for a shotgun if you are truely deranged and like living on the edge), used for taking out majors and other threatening targets that arent tanky enough for heavy but are too tanky for primary (youve played the game, i trust your judgment here lmao) energy: anything that has repulcer brace and is void. i personally reccommend recluse with a damage perk, like frenzy, master at arms or target lock. if it has ap rounds, even better. heavy: i personally use leviathans breath, it hits hard with void surge but you could put anything void here honestly the point of the build is to clear ads and provide utility to your team, you have great solo survivability so you can cap points without worry and clear the spark section with ease. i would recommend that you pair it with a solar warlock running an ad clear build, or even this stasis build would do well. additionally, pairing it with a titan on void can also be great, since they can sit on adu letting you run around and pick off all the red bars while they focus on the chunkier targets
I’ve been trying for years to have a stasis build good enough for endgame, buried bloodline was the answer. One for All on Dimensional Hypertochoid and Renewal Grasps is a load of viable fun on legend onslaught. There are better builds but this is what I’ve always wanted, even toss on that liminal vigil godroll I’ve always wanted to use once Devour with Headstone and Desperado.
Anyone know if a lingering dread with disorienting and chill clip is actually good? Just recently got the roll and sounds good on paper but have yet to fully try it out. Feel like it could be good for a build like this to add some more stasis debuff.
been playing stasis on my hunter the last couple of months and I'm loving it.. I can't believe I never ran it before. I use this same build except with buried bloodline for health plus I hate using sunshot lol
Durance is still good to use but I think it's still bugged with Silence and Squall in that it doesn't increase the duration. I don't think Bungie has ever fixed it and I wonder if they've even acknowledged it.
First Curse absolutely NEEDS to come back! Although I'm not really sure how they could update it for D2. My idea essentially ended up being part of the updated Hawkmoon!
I'd change your build using a fast reloading solar sidearm with demolitionist + incandescent, like Heliocentric, and exchange the solar loader with Impact Induction. Stasis class main advantage is being able to use 2 melees and this build doesn't even use that, impact induction would take this build to another level. Also, there is no need for Whisper of Refraction since this build doesn't even take advantage of the class ability, it would be better to use Whisper of Hedrons and its 60 stats for Mob/Res/Reg and relocate all those extra stats to grenade and melee, you have at least 90 stats to relocate with your current build (using other equipment/stats), that would be enough to have 100 grenade, 100 melee and 50 int, 40 (100) mob, res and reg. You just need to freeze one guy, that is this build main purpose, to have 5 max stats.
That’s more related to this seasons artifact, seasonal mods are op and will always be used. That promotes what guns are meta, and with this season being so long it just feels monotonous
I've used a build adjacent to this and found so decent success. I used Winterbite instead though. As long as I have another player playing support is solid.
Mac, you do you and your good enough to not need it however you should try a reconstruction explosive light apex for general use. Hits much harder and way better add clear radius. You hardly ever use b&s unless your in a boss rotation.
Happy to see this comment & people agreeing not shouting it down!! Most of the time, especially if you swap off Apex to let Reconstruction reload it? You'll be able to keep the Explosive Light Buff for the DPS Phase, even more so if you hop in a Well!
Sorry to be picky but as a build perfectionist 😅 the touch of winter aspect with the renewal grasps gauntlet does nothing but make the crystal bigger, as the renewal grasps makes the duskfeild grenade max range. This means you can run something like shatterdive with this build adding additional damage
Doesnt let me edit comment so edit: the size does infact increase but its very minimal to where its not even effective, therefore making shatterdive better for the build

A "Lingering Dread" GL with disorienting, autoloading and CHILL CLIP would elevate this build this build that much more. AND Duality happens to be on rotation this week to farm it.
I main hunter and was running a build similar to this as a Support Hunter for a bit this season. I switched to a Rig Hunter for a bit but I might have to go back seeing this lol
The stasis exotic bow makes this build 10 times better. Throw on a without remorse for healing or explosive personality for more aoe and you are chillin...literally chillin everything
heres a build i haveused to get to legend onslaught multiple times so you use cryosthesia 77k and sunbracers so you use cryosthesia get a kill get the freeze thing freeze everything and preferbably also use a wave frame its such an easy and fun gameplay loop
Update: I went crazy. I used your whole build, i felt invincible. i'm gonna try to use adept iggy with adept big ones and my pardon our dust with xeno... xeno just HITS
The Renewal Grasps already gives you the increased slow radius and a stasis crystal, sadly it barley stacks with Touch of Winter, so its kinda a waste of aspect imo.

Well sadly on the prismatic subclass you cant use the Touch of Winter aspect which sucks but you can still make it work ir you use a headstone gun

The build base good add control with stasis warlock and its aspects, it has good burst damage with tessellation and heavy can help fill in where it feels lacking. It struggles vs tormenters due to not a lot of precision damage but i keep divinity on me to swap to when they spawn so teammates can melt him then I switch back to tessellation.

Remade an old version of my renewal build from when elemental wells were a thing, and i realized renewal grasps actually spawns a stasis crystal without having to use touch of winter. Even though since this is a duskfield grenade build, and it makes sense to run the aspect that buffs your grenade, i opted to drop it to run winters shroud for extra utility and cc. How i look at it, renewal graps kinda gives you touch of winter for free with its effect, so might as well use another aspect even though they do stack with eachother.
Stasis just feels like it’s missing something. We’re getting Frost Armor in TFS, but that still doesn’t really change its gameplay. Feels like it’s missing an entire elemental “verb” like there should be something along side Slow and Freeze/ Shatter.

8:35 If I remember correctly range effects damage to stasis crystals so the large one was probably within 2-tap range while the smaller crystal was farther away, taking 3 shots

A lot of strand threadling builds that I've seen rely a lot on releasing a large amount of threadlings all at once. This build is designed to give you a steady flow of threadlings continuously with multiple ways of spawning and supplying you with those little bugs. I put the ability armor mods that fit best with my armor, but you can use whichever armor mods fit best for you. Obviously resilience was my top priority, followed by strength and discipline. The major powerhouse for champions and large bosses is of course the parasite grenade launcher. I have been able to one shot champions using that.

I feel like I'm a slave to your videos because everytime you post a hunter build I haven't used in a while I'm like "well that looks like a shit ton of fun" and main that build until you post another fun build i like. Ive been maining your wormhusk tommy solar build since your first vid on it and now Ill probably rock stasis for a while, especially seeing how strong it is for onslaught
if you don't want to use sunshot, or want more stasis crystals, use verglass curve.
hail barrage is good, and its own stasis crystals proc stasis siphon. but another thing, verglass also 1 shots all stasis crystals. basically free whisper of rending.
ik its a bow, but its a good stasis weapon option to use.
I agree, I use it with my shatter build, I literally can lock down a lane in midtown then detonating it feels good
and if you have it craftable, you can add Prodigal Return from season of defiance for a blinding GL with envious/lead for gold and harmony. multiple on demand blinds and with a little damage buff added in for bonus!

Verglass curve stasis bow with that and it’s even better.
Warlock with verity brow stasis grenade glacier. Mods for grenade, stasis reloader, stasis weapon surge, heavy can be anything but I prefer stasis cold comfort or LMG from kings-fall with headstone or anything with head stone.
Bonus with the a sword with bait and switch it activates EASILY with the bow crystals counting it and the side arm from warlords ruin. I can’t really explain it so well sorry but trust it works well!
I use buried bloodline to get me devour so I get health and grenade energy. I then run a demolitionist mountaintop. I throw nades every like 3-5 seconds it’s completely ridiculous. I also use a special finisher along with the grenade kickstart. So if I’m ever running low on anything special ammo wise I can do two things. Use a heavy machine gun (which also has demolitionist) or I can finish something for some special ammo to restart the cycle
I do this with ager's scepter and whisper of hedrons fragment. Hedrons is really good cuz when you freeze just one target you get +60 mobility resilience and recovery, +30 stability, +15 aim assist, and +20 airborne effectiveness. So my starting stats are 40 100 50 100 60 40 but after I freeze a target my stats are 100 100 100 100 60 40 which is really strong.
I have a build I enjoy using its solar hunter with caliban’s hand and explosive knives. With aspects Knock’em down and On your mark. For aspects, and for the fragments: tempering, searing, torches, empyrean, and solace. Healing grenades, gamblers dodge, triple jump, and blade barrage. For armor mods. Helmet: minor res mod, 2x Hands-on, 1 harmonic siphon. Arms: minor res mod, 1 heavy handed, 1 impact induction, 1 focusing strike. Chest: res mod, 1 arc res, 1 void res, 1 solar res. Legs: res mod, 1 absolution, 1 recuperation, 1 better already. Cloak: res mod, 1 powerful attraction, 1 outreach, 1 distribution. Energy weapon can be anything that has incandescent or sunshot, ticuu’s divination, jötunn, or Polaris lance. I recommend a shotgun or smg like the ikelos sg or calus mini tool.
Stasis is the best way of pissing your fireteam off in Destiny.

I like renewals with winterbite. WB does good damage against beefier targets, and freezes everything. Taking less self damage is also a plus. Pair it wih a kinetic tremor Midnight Coup and everything freezes and shatters
With Wisper of hedrons you dont even have to worry about stats anymore. So powerful
Another fun fact about the tormentor: the purple orb spitting out all those blades can be shot, and it will tilt/change its direction and distance.
Strand banner titan with precious scars and final warning. Basically you are un-killable and output a ton of damage with final warning.

I’ve been using this build with witherhoard it seems weird Ik but in higher rounds they are so tanky so when you duskfeild them you witherhoard into the field so they are frozen on the pool and take tones of dmg so when they push up they are already dead or very close too
Also forgot to add this build slaps with bloodline devour gives you that healing that stasis lacks and increases your grenade output time
Hey mactics I just wanted to point out whenever you are doing onslaught you can use two supers at the start. Just open the door jump up and use super turn around and hit the rally flag and run into the room and pop super again. I've used it with stasis strand solar and void and it helps make the bosses get cooked
I was using this build with buriedbloodline it was great. Getting health and grenade energy so fast that i could spam in a metter of a sec or two from the synergy.
As far as i know with renewal grasp while you're inside the duskfield with the stasis crystal you gain damage resistance, when the enemy is inside the duskfield with the crystal it reduces their damage output, if and when the crystal is destroyed the effect goes away, it was used a lot in pvp back then when stasis hunter was op
this build is really solid, but I want to add, that with the bow verglas curve you can create even more stasis crystals and so even more shattering dmg.
I’ve been using verglass with this for more freezing and obviously crystals which means I pretty much always have my nade

Here’s a build I’ve beat legend several times with already:
I call it: Absolute Lockdown. This build is all about locking down lanes with Hierarchy of Needs. You build up the ring, set yourself far back enough to see one/two sightlines, and then just spam shot through the ring and shred everything from afar. It does great single target damage, shreds thru adds, builds super incredibly quickly, and you almost always have an another ring up after the first. Spam shots as fast as you can thru the ring with the catalyst since the draw speed will be insane. You will also have your well up constantly. Make sure you play back enough to cover one/two choke points with the ring and you can lock down all spawns.
Solar Warlock: Well Of Radiance
Abilities: Healing Rift, Burst Glide, Celestial Fire, Healing Grenade
Aspects: Icarus Dash, Touch Of Flame
Fragments: Empyrean, Torches, Solace, Combustion
Exotic Armor: Phoenix Protocol. Prioritize Resilience and Discipline
Kinetic: Scatter Signal/Riptide or auto/recomb MT
Energy: Hierarchy of Needs w/ catalyst
Heavy: Apex Predator or Edge Transit
Helmet: Solar Siphon, Power Preservation, Powerful Friends
Arms: Harmonic Loader, Impact Induction, Harmonic Dexterity
Chest: Harmonic resist, arc or void, and concussive dampener
Legs: Solar Surge x2
Class: powerful attraction, time dilation, and bomber

Supremely with enhanced rewind and enhanced kinetic for tank enemies is ridiculously good. It only takes two hits to proc enhanced KT and you never have to reload. Also melts the boss.

I’m a massive stasis hunter fan, I run a similar build and would recommend it with a demo glaive like Judgement of Kelgorath. You can throw down your dusk field and get to smackin’
It’s actually a ton of fun and viable too! I use it with the dawning arc glaive to get a bit more energy from the origin trait.
Demo doesn't proc on melee kills.
This class but lucky pants with bold endings and enhanced headstone would Probaly be nasty

the only thing I'd swap is the hand cannon. 1 I hate that gun but 2 you don't have anti barrier covered. You could be running Polaris and leveraging the radiant buff.
You have stasis and ignitions for unstoppable and the rocket for overload. I guess you have radiant nade launcher with this but that's been inconsistent for me
I use Wicked Implement. headstone is really good for extra crystals for even more Grenade recharge. Plus it has the ability to stun two types of champs. That being Unstoppable and Overload.
Been using this build a lot recently, but I do often feel like it lacks big burst damage.
I will try a rocket out to see if that helps!

This build video got me back on destiny after not playing since lightfall
my personal setup (not for legend, but i think that it could still work decently well) is:
class: nighstalker
aspects: vanishing step, stylish executioner
fragments: echos of cessation, underminig, starvation and harvest
abilities: any grenade will work, i personally use magnetic but vortex would likely work better in legend, marksmans dodge (shortest cooldown) and deadfall (quickest regen, best for ad clear and mass debuff spread)
exotic: gyrfalcons haulberk (we love volatile rounds and making everything purple)
mods: harmonic syphon (yummy orbs), heavy ammo finders and scouts, focusing strike and bolstering detonation (class ability keeps us alive when we cant kill enemies), personal choice arms mod (i use firepower but i wouldnt expect many grenade kill in legend so probably replace with momentum transfer for more smokes), your choice of chest mods (resists, reserves, you know the deal), double void weapon surge (if you can fit 3 i would recommend you do so, your primary and heavy will hit like small semi trucks if you do so), reaper, time dilation and bomber
weapons: primary: anything that hits hard, i personally use a scatter signal but on the more open maps you could absolutely argue for a sniper, or you could even argue for a shotgun if you are truely deranged and like living on the edge), used for taking out majors and other threatening targets that arent tanky enough for heavy but are too tanky for primary (youve played the game, i trust your judgment here lmao)
energy: anything that has repulcer brace and is void. i personally reccommend recluse with a damage perk, like frenzy, master at arms or target lock. if it has ap rounds, even better.
heavy: i personally use leviathans breath, it hits hard with void surge but you could put anything void here honestly
the point of the build is to clear ads and provide utility to your team, you have great solo survivability so you can cap points without worry and clear the spark section with ease. i would recommend that you pair it with a solar warlock running an ad clear build, or even this stasis build would do well. additionally, pairing it with a titan on void can also be great, since they can sit on adu letting you run around and pick off all the red bars while they focus on the chunkier targets
i’m broke so i haven’t got it yet but the new hand cannon with headstone/dragonfly sounds good with this build

I’ve been trying for years to have a stasis build good enough for endgame, buried bloodline was the answer. One for All on Dimensional Hypertochoid and Renewal Grasps is a load of viable fun on legend onslaught. There are better builds but this is what I’ve always wanted, even toss on that liminal vigil godroll I’ve always wanted to use once Devour with Headstone and Desperado.
I still think wicked implement with a solar special and heavy works overall better with the build, but that's just my opinion
Anyone know if a lingering dread with disorienting and chill clip is actually good? Just recently got the roll and sounds good on paper but have yet to fully try it out. Feel like it could be good for a build like this to add some more stasis debuff.

I use this build with Buried Bloodline and Raconteur. Raconteur 1 shots crystals, and Bloodline = Devour. Absolutely nutty
been playing stasis on my hunter the last couple of months and I'm loving it.. I can't believe I never ran it before. I use this same build except with buried bloodline for health plus I hate using sunshot lol
The Verglass Curve build I made with the Shinobu Vow works pretty great for add clears and freezing targets
Durance is still good to use but I think it's still bugged with Silence and Squall in that it doesn't increase the duration. I don't think Bungie has ever fixed it and I wonder if they've even acknowledged it.

First Curse absolutely NEEDS to come back! Although I'm not really sure how they could update it for D2. My idea essentially ended up being part of the updated Hawkmoon!
I'd change your build using a fast reloading solar sidearm with demolitionist + incandescent, like Heliocentric, and exchange the solar loader with Impact Induction. Stasis class main advantage is being able to use 2 melees and this build doesn't even use that, impact induction would take this build to another level. Also, there is no need for Whisper of Refraction since this build doesn't even take advantage of the class ability, it would be better to use Whisper of Hedrons and its 60 stats for Mob/Res/Reg and relocate all those extra stats to grenade and melee, you have at least 90 stats to relocate with your current build (using other equipment/stats), that would be enough to have 100 grenade, 100 melee and 50 int, 40 (100) mob, res and reg. You just need to freeze one guy, that is this build main purpose, to have 5 max stats.
I miss the old mod system. Now every build no matter the exotic or subclass is rhe same mods and the same apex predator and sunshot
Elemental affinity on armor and mods was terrible though.
That’s more related to this seasons artifact, seasonal mods are op and will always be used. That promotes what guns are meta, and with this season being so long it just feels monotonous

I've used a build adjacent to this and found so decent success. I used Winterbite instead though. As long as I have another player playing support is solid.

Warlock with Osmiomancy gloves is great.
Mac, you do you and your good enough to not need it however you should try a reconstruction explosive light apex for general use. Hits much harder and way better add clear radius. You hardly ever use b&s unless your in a boss rotation.
Agreed, I like explosive light much more. Even bipod is nice sometimes.

Happy to see this comment & people agreeing not shouting it down!! Most of the time, especially if you swap off Apex to let Reconstruction reload it? You'll be able to keep the Explosive Light Buff for the DPS Phase, even more so if you hop in a Well!
why would you use your rocket for anything but damage

Sorry to be picky but as a build perfectionist 😅 the touch of winter aspect with the renewal grasps gauntlet does nothing but make the crystal bigger, as the renewal grasps makes the duskfeild grenade max range. This means you can run something like shatterdive with this build adding additional damage
Doesnt let me edit comment so edit: the size does infact increase but its very minimal to where its not even effective, therefore making shatterdive better for the build

I've been running this build for a while with Final warning, and It's pretty good at controlling chokepoints.

A "Lingering Dread" GL with disorienting, autoloading and CHILL CLIP would elevate this build this build that much more. AND Duality happens to be on rotation this week to farm it.
I main hunter and was running a build similar to this as a Support Hunter for a bit this season. I switched to a Rig Hunter for a bit but I might have to go back seeing this lol

The stasis exotic bow makes this build 10 times better. Throw on a without remorse for healing or explosive personality for more aoe and you are chillin...literally chillin everything
Would you consider a build series on synergy builds for groups of 2-3 to maximise teamwork and coordination?
Run this with stasis exotic sidearm and indebted kindness and you can deal with all 3 champs just like that. Been using this build for everything
heres a build i haveused to get to legend onslaught multiple times so you use cryosthesia 77k and sunbracers so you use cryosthesia get a kill get the freeze thing freeze everything and preferbably also use a wave frame its such an easy and fun gameplay loop

The Renewal Grasps already gives you the increased slow radius and a stasis crystal, sadly it barley stacks with Touch of Winter, so its kinda a waste of aspect imo.
