I built into it for one game of Control and absolutely shredded through the enemy team. First time I've ever gotten a 5x multikill from pure primary gunplay and enemies just stupidly funneling in one at a time and getting demolished. I'm not sure what the math is on surge mods in PvP(I know it's like a 20% boost if you stack 3 in PvE but I assume it's not also 20% in PvP), but combined with the ricochet bullets it just felt like mowing through grass.
I could be wrong since I haven't touched Crucible in months, but surges are something like 4/5/6% extra damage with 1/2/3 surge mods in PvP, if I remember.

You can also pair point contact Canon bracers to jolt with that for better add clear and you can get 3 melee charges for it as well. Not to mention with star eaters the new super does almost 700k as well

And while they only mentioned weapons in this case they did say they wanted to further move away from pvp/pve separate tuning and work on global tuning as it's quicker and allows them to target specific things.
warlock exotic glaive with this. as for counters, you'll want weapons that ramp up on damage done or have a one-shot condition. hawkmoon, revision zero, and malphesense are good examples.
So pretty much they got Laureli splendour except it’s activated on grenade and it lasts way longer and has a wider range and also heals your allies and has a stronger heal.
The major benefit Loreley had was that it just...kinda happened. you didnt have to do a thing. You stuck loreley on your build and boom, anytime you dropped to low hp you are now basically invulnerable and unpushable because of the sunspot. This is NOT that. Not only are you sacrificing your grenade for a support tool, you are actively delaying the Restoration affect of your healing nade. A lot of the kills in the video that are made purely because of the fact they had healing would be just as easily accomplised if you were just...running a normal healing nade. This is because the inital impact and first projectile are basically all the value he himself gets out of any given turret for a good amount of the vid. Its not like he has a ton of moments in which he got 3 heals in a row and it kept him alive in a 3v1 or somethin. Is it more powerful than running a basic healing nade? yes. Is it like Loreley? Hell no. you got the same damn affect from loreley but Lorelay was tied to your class ability and procced automatically, while giving the same affect AND potential damage. The way i see it, in most situations, youll get a very similar effect from a simple enhanced healing nade, no speakers sight needed. hell, the cooldown is the same.

Its not like its constant. 2, the radiant from orbs is an artifact mod and should not be used to determine if an exotic armor is too powerful because its temporary. The synergy with benevolence is good, but that doesnt make it too powrrful lol. Just... A good build. All said, i DO seenhow itd be annoying going againstba full team of it. But... Just pick antiheal or burst weaponry and it doesnt matter anymore.
@StygianJax lorely has always used class ability if you hit low hp, and for the most part was a solo centered playstyle. The most it did other than healing was a low ability regen, no radiance, no surges, no orbs, no extra ability regen. That helmet is lorely on crack and better in every way imaginable, just for the simple act of healing yourself or allies
@StygianJax I have an issue with excessive forms of healing in any PvP game mode. Speakers sight is excessive healing when 3 to 6 people spam it. Also we don't have healing reduction exotics or anti heal as you put it. We just shoot and throw.

Stacking 2-3 of one thing has always been broken but we don’t always use it. Best example is 3 OG getaway artist. Back when you could refresh it in rift and basically you have it up 100%. When all 3 players used this, it was an outrageous advantage. But it was rarely used. That’s usually what happens. I suspect these will rarely be used. Then again I said the same thing about glacial titans lol
Went flawless this weekend with this, red death, and surges from the orb pickup. The turret also lasts after you die, so even if you eat shit (and i did many times) the turret is still aiding your team. Powerful friends will also give your teammates their surges too.
So I’m curious… it seems like there are ways to play around this and counter it? One way I theorize is win condition based loadouts (Malfeasance/Hawkmoon and snipers). They may have constant healing, but that doesn’t do much against 1-shot based weapons. Headshots one person. As a teammate goes to revive, snipe them. If they’re in cover use that time to push up and reposition. See if you can go for another kill. You also have grenades to help push them out of the turret range. If they do decide to nerf it, I hope they don’t do it directly by nerfing its power. Maybe reduce the range. Allow suppression grenades to destroy them. Don’t ruin them for PvE.
If the 1,1,1 special ammo system gets implemented to trials it might help this issue. Fusions in particular punch right through the healing nonsense. Right now it's tough to recover special ammo against this because healing turrets make it tough to get a primary weapon kill.

Imma say it like this, every class is really strong right now(hunters with map manipulation, titans with up close and personal, and warlocks with healing) chose your cup of tea and take a sip. 3 of any class is broken or OVERPOWERED. But hunters got it made, they are the most broken.
Seems like the part of ocasionally generating orbs from healing your teammates works in pvp, and it happens way more often than I expected too, you can see it very clearly working here at 18:15. As if the exotic wasn't strong enough, you can now abuse orbs in pvp without even getting kills, so you can safely trigger stuff like surges, recuperation, better already and just a slightly faster super.
Titans right now are in the trenches our prismatic super is horrible in pvp because of how me float in the air for so long and our excotics this season were trash except for the rocket chest piece and that more for pave idk what they could do to make it a lil more competitive but currently if ur not running either hunter or warlock in pvp ur throwing id love to here ur opinion on how to balance the classes at the moment

I do agree with Titans being weak rn, but don't worry too much, Bungie is not even remotely subtle with which one is their favorite class. Titans will be back shortly and then go back to being meta for another year like always lol. One or two seasons with Titans out of the spotlight is a breath of fresh air for the other two classes.
I mean, striker titan and bubble titan still exist, it just takes a little more skill to run bubble now. Shiver strike plus knockout plus diamond lance is deadly. And barricades are just the best class ability in high rank trials.
@@coolbeans8965 barricade is much quicker to put down and can be put out in the open without much risk. rifts have the longest animation of all the class abilities and is its biggest weakness. can easily get away with putting down a bad barricade, you have a very high chance of dying putting down a bad rift because u are stuck in the animation. you don't even need to be running void on titan to get cheesy OS, near instant cover or using it to get a res for free is so busted... they have too much health for a class ability
Since it gives restoration x2, you can run with red death and have pretty much infinite resto by extending with solar weapon kills (fragment). Plus, you'll be curing allies to give your grenade back quicker after kills.
When the hunter main RUclipsrs make videos like this and get it nerfed meanwhile they're going to still be able to dodge next to you leave a clone slow you and jump straight up in the air. And there won't be anything that you can do about it
If you're a warlock and aren't really interested in Speaker's Sight, Astrocyte Verse is feeling like a version of stompees. Running it on prismatic warlock breaking necks and ankles, been getting flawlesses all last week and this weekend. Highly recommend

bungie will probably/hopefully just increase the grenade cooldown when speakers sight is equipped. at least in pvp. idk if it's broken in pve too, probably not. but i'm thinking renewal grasps and citans ramparts. or some aspects like stasis turret.

Ive played against this in trials and quite honestly its refreshing! its nice to have an interesting meta change. It forces you to make different choices.
Went up against a team of 2 of these support warlock with the healing auto and a void titan overshield. Lemme just say my team barely won and we had a shii ton of damge at the end.
You can also proc the turret by using heat rises however the first initial burst gives you restox1 but you can fix that by getting hit by the turret once
must you therow it or does it work on prismatic so i can get a stasis turret, arc soul and restorstive turret or mudst i throw it and not charge it to get the turret
Just a heads up, healing grenade is not a 1:31 cooldown when you’re also using touch of flame. The touch of flame aspect increases the cooldown to 2:32 I believe. Not that it matters with ember of benevolence though.
Had roughly a 50/50 win ratio the past couple days in Doubles Playlist. My homie hops in using these and no exaggerating, 10 straight games were mercies. I got 3 back to back undefeated and I ain't even good.

Warlocks have almost always had the best utility without needing to actually do anything committal for it. I say this as someone who mained Warlock from D1 up until I started playing all three classes in D2.
Every class is broken in some way, Which is good because it makes everything more fair and equal because no class is really broken more than the other.

This helmet alone buffs well of radiance, and i can get 2 of them for my wells, too. So when im in a raid or dungeon, and we need a "lwell,i use these grenades and we survive anything.
But honestly, there's no reason to play New Warlock class... solar is better if you want stasis warlock use stasis it have 20x more ability freeze spam and benefit.. I'd you want to abuse arc melee use arc smae thing, just arc warlock is just better for that melee.
Anyone know how he's able to get so much initial momentum with his burst glide? Do he use scroll wheel and input 4 jumps? I know how to gain momentum with 1 short activation of burst jump but it's never as fast as he was doing it. TYIA
This fkn helmet carried me to flawless twice already. Swapped to pure Solar and ran Ember of Benevolence for extra ability regen on revive or healing an ally, including when they stand in my rift. I would start more than half the rounds with this damn grenade ready to go.
Right when I thought PvP was in a great spot after all the special changes here comes Red Death, Khovostov, unlimited healing Warlocks, and ability spam Hunters…looks like it’s tie to take another break.
Let’s be honest tho - only around 5% of that effectivity was due to the speakers sight. There was hardly ever a moment were a regular healing Jade wouldn’t have had the same effect. The rest is just wallah being wallah.

@@DraxtiniAthrys still one shots, with basically the easiest activation in PvP ever, prismatic Hunter at base is radar manipulation on steroids, balance of power breaks that further. Invis is still incredibly busted on bright maps. Hunters are just drowning in options, all year long, but the average hunter is so dog and unimaginative that they refuse to use them because it doesn't further boost the jumping + sliding playstyle that already dominates in a game where movement is king. Simply can't tolerate playing against classes that don't have a net handicap due to the lack of an instant jump and a 12s class ability that can proc several things at once
I wouldn’t say its broken BROKEN. I’m a Warlock main but I haven’t had the chance to play Final Shape because I’m on vacation… but this just looks like it allows you to reengage in a gun fight faster but the enemy team would have to be idiots to ego… once you’re out of the healing orbs zone you’re just as vulnerable, good team shooting will counter this build easily. The most OP part of the build is just the Orbs of Power generation, that’s gonna be annoying when you lose 3 rounds in a row due to Well but other than that it looks easy to counter and you can just shoot and destroy the orbs.
Warlocks don't often get to be broken. But when we are, hoooo boy are we broken. Honestly I think the only fix they could make, is a PvP specific Restoration nerf maybe adding period of time after taking damage where Restoration doesn't heal you. So it won't actually help you in a gunfight unless you break line of sight for like two whole seconds. That doesn't help with the Cure aspect of it, but even Cure x2 is pretty weak in PvP.
Bungie doesn't think they just do. That's the biggest problem with their studio and the biggest problem why this game will never recover! That and changing things no one asks for!

Destiny 2 was made specifically to separate the PVP and PVE sandboxes so they should have no problem pushing a fix on the PVP side only.

Titans right now are in the trenches our prismatic super is horrible in pvp because of how me float in the air for so long and our excotics this season were trash except for the rocket chest piece and that more for pave idk what they could do to make it a lil more competitive but currently if ur not running either hunter or warlock in pvp ur throwing id love to here ur opinion on how to balance the classes at the moment

@Red790 Bro barricade is easily Brocken in high ranks when people know what they are doing where they decide to not challenge or just as a team break it immediately the only time its decent is with void were u can get the oversheild id argue that warlocks have the best class ability with the heals that they can provide themselves and others without really any draw back
I do agree with Titans being weak rn, but don't worry too much, Bungie is not even remotely subtle with which one is their favorite class. Titans will be back shortly and then go back to being meta for another year like always lol.
One or two seasons with Titans out of the spotlight is a breath of fresh air for the other two classes.
I mean, striker titan and bubble titan still exist, it just takes a little more skill to run bubble now. Shiver strike plus knockout plus diamond lance is deadly. And barricades are just the best class ability in high rank trials.
@@coolbeans8965 barricade is much quicker to put down and can be put out in the open without much risk. rifts have the longest animation of all the class abilities and is its biggest weakness. can easily get away with putting down a bad barricade, you have a very high chance of dying putting down a bad rift because u are stuck in the animation. you don't even need to be running void on titan to get cheesy OS, near instant cover or using it to get a res for free is so busted... they have too much health for a class ability

I got teabagged by a 2 stack using this in trials, it needs a nerf in pvp but leave it alone in pve
Since it gives restoration x2, you can run with red death and have pretty much infinite resto by extending with solar weapon kills (fragment). Plus, you'll be curing allies to give your grenade back quicker after kills.
When the hunter main RUclipsrs make videos like this and get it nerfed meanwhile they're going to still be able to dodge next to you leave a clone slow you and jump straight up in the air. And there won't be anything that you can do about it
If you're a warlock and aren't really interested in Speaker's Sight, Astrocyte Verse is feeling like a version of stompees. Running it on prismatic warlock breaking necks and ankles, been getting flawlesses all last week and this weekend. Highly recommend

Ive played against this in trials and quite honestly its refreshing! its nice to have an interesting meta change. It forces you to make different choices.
you can also throw them up high on the walls so it’s harder for opponents to kill the turrets which also makes them look up rather than shoot you

Went up against a team of 2 of these support warlock with the healing auto and a void titan overshield. Lemme just say my team barely won and we had a shii ton of damge at the end.
You can also proc the turret by using heat rises however the first initial burst gives you restox1 but you can fix that by getting hit by the turret once

just curious, were you snap cancelling during that card? my snap cancels usually make a sound and don't seem to go as far.
he's scroll wheel skating, usually flings you very far when doing it on stairs or inclines

Just a heads up, healing grenade is not a 1:31 cooldown when you’re also using touch of flame. The touch of flame aspect increases the cooldown to 2:32 I believe. Not that it matters with ember of benevolence though.

Scroll wheel down bound to jump causes that to happen on a slope. Super fast jumps with momentum.
How are you skating up the stairs and jumping so far/high?
"Snap skating" on solar warlock. It's a weird keybind exploit for extra speed. Easy to find videos on how to do it on RUclips

Dude its insane. Creating orbs for khvostov perk while the gun is insanely strong. Trials is kinda horrendous to play right now lmao
yeah it is ngl, went flawless 3 times today but man unless your teammate knows you can shoot the thing oh boy, and the heal isnt even the problem the problem is the fact that it bypasses the orb requirement for pvp so you can use surges khovostovs perk and more for free
On top of healing, it gives orbs, so you can supercharge your Khvostov damage.
How do you fly so fast? Is that just icarus + burst glide?
Warlocks have almost always had the best utility without needing to actually do anything committal for it. I say this as someone who mained Warlock from D1 up until I started playing all three classes in D2.
Every class is broken in some way, Which is good because it makes everything more fair and equal because no class is really broken more than the other.

No because the healing turret has to be thrown. If the grenade is consumed it doesn’t pop

you have to spam burst glide jump near the top of a slope. most people either use scroll wheel or have a macro for it

Healing your teammates has a chance of dropping an orb of power, I think it’s in the artifact or a fragment
This helmet alone buffs well of radiance, and i can get 2 of them for my wells, too. So when im in a raid or dungeon, and we need a "lwell,i use these grenades and we survive anything.
They probably going to lessen the healing, or make the grenade recharge rate longer

Anyone know how he's able to get so much initial momentum with his burst glide? Do he use scroll wheel and input 4 jumps? I know how to gain momentum with 1 short activation of burst jump but it's never as fast as he was doing it. TYIA
Its based on FPS too, which a lot of people don't know, it's just scroll wheel jumps on a ramp tho
This fkn helmet carried me to flawless twice already.
Swapped to pure Solar and ran Ember of Benevolence for extra ability regen on revive or healing an ally, including when they stand in my rift.
I would start more than half the rounds with this damn grenade ready to go.
Right when I thought PvP was in a great spot after all the special changes here comes Red Death, Khovostov, unlimited healing Warlocks, and ability spam Hunters…looks like it’s tie to take another break.
Let’s be honest tho - only around 5% of that effectivity was due to the speakers sight. There was hardly ever a moment were a regular healing Jade wouldn’t have had the same effect. The rest is just wallah being wallah.
Not to mention that you're also spawning orbs of power for free + activating Khovostov's perk

@@DraxtiniAthrys still one shots, with basically the easiest activation in PvP ever, prismatic Hunter at base is radar manipulation on steroids, balance of power breaks that further. Invis is still incredibly busted on bright maps. Hunters are just drowning in options, all year long, but the average hunter is so dog and unimaginative that they refuse to use them because it doesn't further boost the jumping + sliding playstyle that already dominates in a game where movement is king. Simply can't tolerate playing against classes that don't have a net handicap due to the lack of an instant jump and a 12s class ability that can proc several things at once
its strong but the ttk of any weapon is faster than the rate at which it shoots heals out

I wouldn’t say its broken BROKEN. I’m a Warlock main but I haven’t had the chance to play Final Shape because I’m on vacation… but this just looks like it allows you to reengage in a gun fight faster but the enemy team would have to be idiots to ego… once you’re out of the healing orbs zone you’re just as vulnerable, good team shooting will counter this build easily. The most OP part of the build is just the Orbs of Power generation, that’s gonna be annoying when you lose 3 rounds in a row due to Well but other than that it looks easy to counter and you can just shoot and destroy the orbs.
Warlocks don't often get to be broken. But when we are, hoooo boy are we broken.
Honestly I think the only fix they could make, is a PvP specific Restoration nerf maybe adding period of time after taking damage where Restoration doesn't heal you. So it won't actually help you in a gunfight unless you break line of sight for like two whole seconds.
That doesn't help with the Cure aspect of it, but even Cure x2 is pretty weak in PvP.
