      Connecting Bluetooth to your phone, you won't be able to answer/end calls from the headset. Connecting the headset to your computer with the USB cable to Teams, yes you should be able to answer/end calls from the headset. Keep in mind, the Plantronics Hub may need to be downloaded.

    at my wits end trying to figure out how to get my EHS to work with my Plantronics 8210 and Nextiva X-835 phone. The desk phone has a headphone jack. But when I attach the EHS to the headphone base and phone headset jack.... nothing. Also the EHS cable has a small 5 pin configuration on the deskphone end. And my phone has no jack for that ?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 года назад

      Hi Ronald, which EHS cable do you have? I ask because this Nextiva phone isn't compatible with an EHS cable. You'd need the HL10 Lifter if you want to answer/end calls away from the phone. Otherwise, you could plug the headset into the phone without the EHS and use it but you'd have to answer/end calls at the phone.

    Hi Guys - is it possible to connect this headset to phone without the base? I hope someone shares the guide as if it is not possible I feel like I want to throw it out of the window and rather get my 5 year old Focus UC fixed. Thanks!

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  2 года назад

      There's two models. The Savi 8200 UC series and the Savi 8200 Office series. The Savi 8200 UC series uses a charging base only for charging but uses the Dongle that connects to the computer for it to be used. Meaning, you wouldn't have to lug around a charging base with you. If you have the Office version then you must have the charging base for the headset to be used (Office versions has 3 icons on front of base with desk phone + computer + mobile phone).
      Don't throw it out the window though! Trade it in to be applied towards a discount of a new headset like the Focus 2 UC or others.

      Hi Cheri. Knowing how to change out a battery in a wireless headset can be confusing. Typically, the manufacturers don't make it clear where to go, and what to do in order to get that done. Here's a video we made a while back that I think could be helpful to you. After viewing it, if your situation isn't resolved, you can always email us at info@headsetadvisor.com. I like many others on this thread have the feeling of throwing this headset out of the window. I have the 8210/8220 Office version and cannot get it to pair with my laptop through the USB port [I am on mac so I am using a USB to C converter which I've used for other things before successfully]. It will only connect to my laptop via the mobile phone icon/bluetooth and this results in cruddy audio quality and reduced audio transmission. I tried switching back to my old headset but now it's like my laptop randomly disconnects as it tries to connect with this instead. Help me trouble shoot please :)

      @@taralayton1745 Unfortunately you’d need the charging base for this headset to work properly. This solution is best for being stationary at one workstation.

    I have the 8200 series headset, but we use Cisco phones, a CP7821 to be specific. This phone has a headset option on the back. I hooked it up the same way you said to use both the phone and the computer and I cannot get a dial tone or hear anything when making an outbound call. I know when we had our other headsets the connections that came with the headset were not ones that we needed to use so we had to order accessories to be able to use them. Will that be the case with these headsets also? Do we need another accessory? Please help!! Thank you in advance!

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  3 года назад +1

      1. Make sure the phone cord is connected into the back of the Cisco phone with the icon labeled with headphones.
      2. On the left side of the charging base is a cover you can pull down with an A-G switch. Set this to setting D.
      3. To use the headset, press the desk phone icon on the charging base to get a solid green light. At this point, press the headphones button on the Cisco phone to dial out or answer/end a call.
      Note: If you want the ability to answer/end calls from your headset, or when you step away from the desk, you'll need this accessory here headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-apc43-electronic-hookswitch-cable-for-remote-call-answering-works-with-select-cisco-ip-phones?_pos=1&_sid=209f24b54&_ss=r
