Thank you for your presentation.... What a wonderful aircraft..... I've always liked the look of it, particularly the single seater F80 or P80 (as in Korea ) .... I hope it's released for Xbox and I hope it actually performs as per P.C.
I can't wait for this to come to the marketplace! I only buy my addons from the Marketplace....way easier to keep them updated and easily install/uninstall.
It's okay on the canopy, AvAngel, I was trying to start my Piper Meridian 500 and while watching and couldn't....turns out giving it fuel helps. We both can be special. xD The jet looks fantastic.
I would like to know the field you are flying out of in this video. Among sim aircraft, this one is definitely a challenge to fly. As with all jets, speeds are a critical factor. In real life, jets are definitely not seat of the pants flying. I found it tricky to maintain proper approach and landing speeds in the T-33 while not stalling or over-speeding the gear and flaps. You did an admirable job for a first attempt. As one would do in the real world, I took the aircraft up to altitude and set up various flap and gear configurations to figure out how to make a proper approach, but it is still a challenge not to drop it onto the runway. While the speed brakes can be used to slow the aircraft, it is highly advisable not to use them on the approach. However, the air brakes can be deployed after landing to slow down. This is unlike the Hawker Hunter that features a similar belly mounted speed break that is disabled when the gear is extended. There is also a silver fuel limiter dial that sets fuel quantity on the lower right side of the panel that should to be set before flight. Proper fuel feed is a critical factor in the T-33. I grew up on Air Force bases in the late fifties and early sixties, so this particular aircraft has a special place in my life. Being from that earlier era, I am a radial engine guy with a lot of hours in the cockpits of those types of aircraft. I never cared for jets I flew as a corporate pilot and I am amazed at those wanting to fly something like an Air-BUS as the name says it all. Yet, I find an unexpected affinity for flying these early military jets. Glass cockpits in a sim? ugh! I never could get used to a blank screen where instruments used to be located. However, in both the sim and in real life, GPS based navigation instruments are leaps and bounds over the "old days". Here is a very helpful page for a proper landing pattern in the T-33 where speeds are in knots instead of MPH. forums.flightsimulator.com/uploads/default/original/4X/8/1/f/81f4afdb3be9a9f4abae5ee97fc57fc10b56c757.jpeg Finally, I would like to thank Microsoft and all the developers involved with MSFS for making my boyhood dreams come true in my old age. Owning and flying all these classic aircraft without continuously studying regulations, attending to constant maintenance, filing flight plans, talking to ATC and enduring flight physicals, is truly a dream come true. It's the way I always wanted it to be in real life, but never was - at least after I quit Ag flying.
@@AvAngel Amazing, It's in my neighborhood, but I did not recognize it from the air. I used to anchor there all the time. In fact West Sound is where I bought my first sailboat. They have (or had) an airshow there every year. If you look at the island at the north end of the runway, that is Sucia Island where I used to anchor while sailing the San Juans. One late afternoon, while sitting at anchor there, I heard what looked and sounded like WWII getting underway. It turned out to be the annual Orcas Island airshow that included numerous warbirds. While you fly around my neighborhood, I fly around yours (assuming you live in Britain). I just purchased a copy of REX AccuSeason Advanced Edition and I am enjoying Britain's autumn colors as I putt around the countryside in various aircraft like the English Electric Wren, Tiger Moth, Fox Moth, Chipmunk, DH Rapide and of course the Spitfire and Hurricane. Never flown around Washington state, either virtually or in real life. I always enjoy your videos. One nice thing about VR flying is you can just jump in the cockpit of a sim aircraft and take off to give it a whirl and go into the details later. Regards, Flyingwrench
Congrats for your videos! You could also include in them some info about the liveries included with every aircraft that you review. I would be also nice to know whether they have any kind of autopilot. Saludos
Aircraft and scenery will port over without any bigger issues, but missions won't be compatible as per Asobos last stream or the stream before. But from the september stream on they will focus on 2024 so maybe they will clarify more about compatibility with the next iteration of the sim.
On November 8, 1950, early in the Korean War, a U.S. Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star, America’s first operational jet fighter, flown by U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Russell Brown, shot down a Soviet-built MiG-15 piloted by a North Korean pilot, in the first air-to-air combat between jet planes in aviation history.

Was crew chief on T-33 airplanes and had two long cross country trips in the back seat, great airplane!
As a museum volunteer that spent a LOT of time dabbling in aircraft maintenance on a T-33, this was a day one purchase for me.
I bought this yesterday…yay. While I was waiting I flew the Beech 18 from Gibraltar to Casablanca to start my Africa journey.

Thanks to your review, this may be one of the very few aircraft I purchase for MSFS. Thank you!
Great plane! I saw a T-33 in Virginia (USA) and nice to fly it now in Flight Simulator.
I want Michael Dorn voice overs for my ATC transactions when I'm flying this. Thanks for the video!
Good tea, nice plane
I'm waiting on this one. Why not I've easily spent over 2 grand on this sim let's go for 3 lol

I did mention the autopilot 😀
It is a beautiful aircraft
i'm reluctant to keep buying all these sweet planes without knowing if they will carry over to 2024 or not.
Most will, it’s going to be rare they don’t
it will work with 2024.
Microsoft/Asobo have confirmed multiple times that pretty much every addon aircraft will carry over.

Is there any reason why this bird burns fuel so quickly? Sitting on the runway it burned 40% in two minutes.
