I have a little bit of time in this machine, around 50 hours and am certainly not an expert, but I can say that it is an extremely clunky airplane that was great fun to fly. This add -on seems way overpowered. I barely ever saw 300 knots IAS let alone 400. The centrifugal flow engine took almost 20 seconds to go from idle to full power and was prone to compressor stall if the throttle was handled too roughly. It wasn't very responsive until it got above 80% so the speed brakes were always used on final approach to keep the revs up in case a go-around was necessary. There was no nose wheel steering and the plane had neutral stability in roll. It took about 3-4 hours at the controls to get the hang of keeping the wings level. I don't know where they came up with a 48,000 ft. ceiling. I think you would either run out of fuel or die of old age before getting there. In short, it was an underpowerd pig but I loved it.
I really like the look of the old Cold War jets from the '50's and '60's, they really are very cool. I think I'm going to have to buy this and add it to the hangar with the F-104 Starfighter I have. Now there's a plane that's tricky to fly!
5:50 why are all aircraft and controllers 'shouting' and why does it sound so crisp and sharp? Have the devs of BATC never listened to actual ATC recordings?
I'm really really hoping that in MSFS 2024 there is an expansion / addon or even a spin off for a combat flight sim. DCS is great but it really needs a modern competitor. Great video as always, I usually only use MSFS for civvy aviation and DCS for military but this one looks very nice.
So a few tips on the fuel tanks. Tip tanks should be always on, Wing and Leading Edge tanks should be off until one of them is needed, then turn one on at a time. Notice how quick you were losing fuel in the game menus? This is because if you turn on all the tanks at once, it will fuel dump after the fuselage tank is filled. So Fuse and Tip at all times, and after the tip tanks are empty, then switch on one of the other tanks.

I might have to give the F-104 a go! This T-33 is very forgiving, just don’t get slow on final approach!

MSFS always has issues with overly sensitive pitch. It seems to affect planes large and small.
