Why you should watch Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

  • Greetings, pilgrim. I hope that you’re sitting un-comfortably! I’m WeeLin; author, dreamweaver, visionary, plus RUclipsr. Recently, inspiration has risen up in me like a bad sandwich and compelled me to pen this homage (with a silent “H”) to the meisterwerk of Garth Marenghi. Darkplace was among the most daring and radical series in television history, which is probably why they had to cancel it after six episodes. Or maybe that was due to the fact that one of its lead actors is probably dead - c’est la vie.
Update: It was revealed on Garth's TerrorTome tour that Madeleine Wool (a.k.a. Dr Liz Asher) is currently underneath a car park in Milan. So that's part of the mystery solved: / 1637564709917323268
Big thanks to the incredible talents of Matthew Holness, Richard Ayoade, Alice Lowe and Matt Berry, as well as director Paul King and composer Andrew Hewitt, a.k.a. Stig Baasvik. Also, many thanks to my own composer, Thomas O’Boyle. The original music for this video can be found on his RUclips channel:
Like, subscribe and ring the bell for more - I’m going to be back very soon to review series 7 of Inside No 9!

Oh Hell, you nailed that! I had actually just rewatched "Hell Hath Fury" and then came across this in my recommendations, and that line made me laugh pretty hard. After all the other character's descriptions, "woman" really is the only thing to Liz's characterization (the only other term for her that I could think of would be "psychic woman," but even that just plays into the stereotype of "women's intuition.")
[EDIT] _"Although I should point out that, unlike in Darkplace, we don't come with subtitles."_
And you leave me laughing out loud yet again. I just wanted to point it out because, although I find plenty of things on the Internet to be funny, they rarely ever make me _actually laugh out loud._ So congratulations and thank you; excellent job. 😁
