Sad to hear architecture students drop their course, but I get it. When I went into the travel industry, it changed my perspective on life. When I left finance for travel, it was so much more fun and it suited my personality more. I wish I had found that industry sooner though!

thank you for your honesty and vulnerability, and I'm just so amazed at the kind of intention you put into the things you choose to and not to do. I'm also super interested in the mdes program and I definitely would love to hear more about it from you. following for more :D

Thank you for posting this video! I recently graduated with a BS in Urban Planning and Design and want to focus on community design, public space, and affordable housing. I am planning to apply to M.Arch I programs because I can develop better design skills, and there are simply more job opportunities with an architecture degree compared to a planning one. Harvard was on my list of schools to apply to but, this gave me better insight into the type of work they focus on! I am planning to talk to alumni + current students.

I’m so glad this video helped! Yes, talking with other students and alumni is a great idea to get better insight into whether you’ll be able to pursue your interests!😊

Think you should do urban design and/or urban planning based on the information on how you felt.

Hi Schola, we all face that all the time especially in this profession mostly during the grad and undergrad years. I've been following since last year and your videos have been inspiring to me specifically in preparing my grad applications to HSD. I concluded my Higher National Diploma in Architecture here in Nigeria and graduated with a cgpa of 3.25/4.00. Currently undergoing my NYSC program, and I have a very tall ambition of applying for the 3.5 years master course offered at HSD. I've been undertaking some online classes to improve my CAD skills and other related courses as well. Do you mind providing me with any information that is relevant to my pursuit. Preferably can I get your social media handle for a direct conversation?
      Thank you! KC...

Wow 😮 I’m surprised that they didn’t talk about context. I’m planning on starting my M. Arch program in the fall and I just assumed most schools talk about site context.

I was surprised as well! I will say that the program changes a bit every year, so it’s even been different for the ‘26 grads! This is just my experience, but I hope your MArch program goes well!

I’m currently an junior studying landscape architecture and I am hoping to apply to the M. Arch 1 this winter. Do you have any advice/recommendations for someone who studied something besides architecture for undergrad? Love your videos!

What's it like at Harvard? Is it lonely? Are ppl brilliant? Do you feel like you're changing the world?

You should get into City planning and development. That would help you in your purpose of serving communities.

I watched some of your Harvard GSD RUclips videos concerning Architecture and Portfolio and am interested in going and applying for admission to Harvard GSD, MArch 1.
I have been trying to call the school, Harvard GSD but all the numbers I have tried with the ones on the website are not reaching through. I wanted to ask how can I reach out to them on phone cause I have been trying to get there main number since last week but no result.
I also I have some questions concerning admission, is it possible for me to still apply this year into Harvard GSD or I will have to wait to next year to apply or can I apply this year and still enter this year.
    Thank you for your time.
