    Thank you Schola, I am a student is very determined to go to a big college for grad school because I am very passionate about changing the world of medicine. I haven't even started my freshman year of college yet but it feels like every second I'm loosing time to be a student that harvard would want at their school.
    But you gave me a vote of confidence because now I know that its possible to go to harvard for grad school in medicine or biochemistry.

    Thanks so much for the video! This was super encouraging. In the past I have gotten accepted to graduate schools but I wasn't able to go due to my financial situation. However I feel inspired now! Now that it's April 2023, I feel like I should focus on applying for the 2024-2025 school year. I'll definitely keep your tips in mind.

    I watched your video a year ago when I had just started contemplating grad school options and I came back because I wanted to share that I've officially applied (well in the fall I did). Your template for organization was such a life saver and really helped me keep my head on as I juggled all the various sites! This video was such a wonderful recourse to have! Thank you so much for making it!!!! B

    Hello Schola! I'm currently an undergraduate of B.Arch and I'll be graduating in the summer of 2023. I'm applying for the M.Arch program in the fall of 2023 and I've shortlisted my schools and almost match your set of schools. I'm really trying to get into Harvard tho. So for me watching your videos has been extremely useful. I don't have any specific doubts right now but in the future, if I have any queries I'll definitely ask for your help and I'll be happy to get any kind of help from you.😇

    Hi Schola! I am feeling the stress about grad school now! I am graduating in May with a dual major in history and political science. The application file date is this September. My absolute top choice is the University of Oregon because I love there environmental history program. I also really admire a particular professors work in that department and would love the opportunity to study under him. I have reached out to him and he has written me back on a few occasions which I hope is encouraging. I am holding a 4.0 so far but have heard that GPA is only a small factor in acceptance. Other schools that I have interest in include UAF (my soon to be alma mater), DePaul, Michigan State, and Central Michigan University. Should I count on getting in my top choice? Or should I blanket the other choices with applications as well? Any advice would be really helpful as I am stressing out!

    Hello Schola, I am applying for graduate school (master's) for this upcoming spring (the deadline is today December 1st) but I am missing letters of recommendation. Do you know whether it is fine if the letters of recommendation are sent after the application deadline? In fact, I am also been finding it really challenging to know what program I want to pursue and which school I want to go to.

    Hi there! Any recommendations on asking people for rec letters/finding advisors when you're a few years out of college (2019) & didn't necessarily keep in touch? Thanks for the video!

    • @ScholaChioma

      Hi! I genuinely am not the best person for advice on this, but I’d say reach out to the professors you were closest to anyway (if they made an impact on you + they’d recognize you’re name still). Most applications also want more recent recommendations so this is a great opportunity to look at your most recent network. Who played the role of Professor or mentor or teacher to you a few years out of college? No harm in asking them as well! I hope this helps (:

    Hello! I'm first year architecture student. I didn't do good at all in my first semester but slowly I have been loving and doing well. I'm trying to give my whole into this subject.I know I can't get into top college like harvard but still I dream to study in good university for masters program. I'm not from US so idk much about average score or gpa you need
    to have a chance in getting into nice universities. Can you mention it?
    as well as your gpa?

    I have a question. I am not quite clear how seeking schools that will promote and serve your passions is directly connected to having applied to Harvard, Berkeley, or Columbia....because when you mention that all I think is about the scholastic prestige of these schools, not that they particularly aiming to help end homelessness through their programs.

    • @ScholaChioma
      @ScholaChioma  2 года назад +1

      Hi William! Such a good point- and it’s honestly something I thought about while applying and even now while I’m in the program! What is particularly unique about these schools is that I don’t just have to rely on the academics of my particular program, but have (what feels like) and infinite network/ extracurricular opportunities that allow me to dive into my interest more intentionally. So, while I’m not tackling homelessness in studio- I am going to webinars and workshops by Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing or helping a friend’s homeless outreach start-up and have many conversations with people who are also passionate! And my studies help me become technically fluent so eventually I can marry the two on my own! I hope this helps (: thanks for your question!
