She’s such an interested person, she genuinely asks great questions and does brilliant commentary, she should do a series about British history for the states, I think it would be really interesting.
She’s a little minx!
i agree
No wonder the Queen never came to tea at Monica’s place. What an amazing family tree.
No it isn't.
We all have over a million 18x great grandparents, and over 2 million 19x great grandparents. Since that was basically the population of England, I'd bet just about ALL people of any british ancestry are descended from these people.
I bet Philippa Gregory is already salivating thinking about Elizabeth DeSpenser and how to turn her into her next best seller 😄
It's De Spencer.
This part of UK history is well known here in France due to Maurice Druon’s books Les rois maudits and subsequent serializations for French TV. Isabelle plays an interesting part in it
This would all make a great Netflix series lol
Historians Rock! 🤘
I wish they could do Jennifer Aniston and the Greece line from her father.
Needs the Eastenders drums at the end!!! I love this series... thanks for sharing ✌️🌟
Ironically or oddly enough... I'm related to the same line as they are discussing... but though I share Ms Cox's last sir name... my relation to the Edward and the other's, is through my maternal lines.
Watching this the day that Queen Elizabeth is lying in State in this building!
I noticed that as well watching this 6 months later.
She should make a movie abought this!!!
She has a great history!
Most European people do.
@@shellc6743 Exactly, almost anyone who has ancestors that came to America from the 1600s on will have some royal lines in their trees proveble or not. And it has been estimated that everyone of European descent would be descended from Charlemagne.
I met someone who's descended from Edward I 2 years ago where I worked, and she told me her and her family aren't really proud of being his descendants.
@@darkmagician2521I would be he was a strong commanding good English King and inspired Tywin Lannister!
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary 2012 Edition added the term “hung” as an acceptable substitute for the term “hanged” as the “vox populi” of the English speaking world unknowingly used the word to describe “hanged”. Therefore, a phrase such as “the convicted prisoner was “hung” by the rafters for the town square to see” is now an appropriate way of description…
An American dictionary to help accomodate all the Americans. One has to makt things easier for them,; they often need help.

Ms.cox is amazing the 1st time I saw this beautiful gorgeous lady was in masters of the universe movie..I hope she is in the new masters of the universe. Ms Cox would be the best ever evil lyn..☠️💀☠️history is absolutely interesting. Great chanel and interesting content. Had poster of Ms Cox on my wall for ages.she looked amazing.
Wow, amazing people’s family tree.
what a story! to be an ancestor of all that drama lol...

The guy still seems really angry about it xD It’s like he’s looking at her with disdain for being related to him haha
A lot of these people are also my ancestors so I’m probably related to her somehow, cool story I know.
Romeo, juliet, is that you?????? Lol!
I do believe I'm related in the same line. There are so many notable branches in my line, which are intertwined with the aristocracy of those days, it's not surprising that they cross over, especially with those who went to the Virginia colonies in those early days.
hilarious
Courtney and I have the same 18th GGP..I have a large de Berkeley family..
I'm smelling a movie!!
Power
Watched all the way through , where is the ending ?
Is this the same building there Queen Elizabeth II lay in state?
So Where do you find the next part?
It’s being uploaded in parts for some strange reason
It will show up in a few days, subscribe and click to receive new notifications.
That's amazing.
My ancestor was hanged for the same crime.
Oh hang on. Courtney and I share a 20 times great-grandfather.
I'm related to king edward the first and second and the spencer's not thinking cortney should think so much of herself
Hugh (le) de Spencer (the younger & father of Elizabeth) is my 23x great grandfather
Hey, go tell chucky to give up his seat.
Courteney is still a hottie.
I thought 'drawn' was to be disembowled
Spelt her name wrong in the title, it's Courteney
Spelled
@@shellc6743 you can use spelt or spelled
It's spelled. Spelt is an Americanism
@@ebanksstudiosSpelt is not correct English.
Spelled is.
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 I don't care lol
I also have a king killer in my family.
Courtney has pretty blue eyes
No wonder her family came to America....
No, it wasn’t a fair trial, that’s why he didn’t answer her.
Beautiful lady
If she is related to the de Spenser family, doesn't that mean she is related to Diana Spencer, aka Lady Di?
No, different family. However, going further back, there is a familial connection between Lady Di and the Despensers. Courtney, though, is connected to Lady Di along other lines.
Washing is hung, people are HANGED.Goodness me!
Don’t be so hanged up on it.
@@JediSimpson one has to maintain certain standards, otherwise we will all talk gibberish.
@@sylviawilson6160 - At the start of a sentence, the first word is meant to be capitalised.
well, some men are too, but in a slightly different context.
@@RP-ve7bl 😂😂😂😂😂😂
They could do Morena Bacarin she's brazilian, would be fun to see south american
Sounds like her relative was a good actor
how did they keep those big empty buildings warm ?
Big massive fireplaces
So does that make her a relation to Diana Spencer ?
More twists and turns than a can of worms . 😜
It seems very likely so.
Not necessarily.
Wait Diana is related to these Spencers??
No the family name is Despencer not Spencer.
Different last name.
I had to laugh when he stumbled upon "hanged". It was a little embarrassing. Most people understand that it should be "hanged" and not "hung". Wrong past tense. He almost didn't want to correct her, lol. But she clearly is not a British history buff. Oh well!
*ancestor hanged over King Edward II death
Like the person who wrote the title of this video, Courtney is having a bit of trouble distinguishing her English verbs.
Expert : ''He was hanged...'' = He was executed by being suspended by a rope around his neck.
Courtney: ''He was hung...'' = He was packing heat in the trouser department?
I don't usually like to play Grammar Police, but this makes me smile every time.
That said, I expected better from the WDYTYA official channel.
From Merriam Webster:
''The standard rule for the past tense of hang is this: in almost all situations, you should use the word hung.
I hung a picture of Noah Webster on the wall.
After school, she hung out in the library.
Use hanged when referring to a person being suspended by a rope around the neck until dead.''
Courteney Cox - please amend spelling.
And none of this would have happened if she had not been invited up onto the stage with Bruce Springsteen! Wonder if they are friends now?
Also is de Spencer family of lady Diane Spencer? Correct me if i am wrong. 🙃Diane was more royal than the current royal family.
Diana
No, not along this line. However, the Despensers and Lady Di are related, but further back.
Love the fact that without a doubt when she realises she is a descendant of King Edward I, and William The Conqueror, it's impossible for her now not be reading books on medieval English history all about her own ancestors! Imagine how fascinating and exciting that must be for her! I hope she makes a claim to become Queen of England in future over future King Charles and the Usurper Wats her name again? His girlfriend who cheated with behind Lady Diana's back! Courtney Cox for Queen I say, let's modernise the Monarchy proper! 🤣🙏😎❤️
Love how you forget Diana's infidelity.....
You should also document the other descendants of king edward who are not famous celebrities
There are so many descendants of royalty living ordinary lives. It's said over 40% of the population of the UK. I'm related through the Selby ( Twizzel Castle among other homes) and Haggerston families and through the plantagenets,my branch go through King Edward III long shanks.
Were any of these kings plantagenet's?
Yes.
People are hanged; curtains are hung. FYI
Wrong. I'm very hung.
Humans are HANGED .. not hung ...
Speak for yourself. I'm pretty hung.
Is it me, but is Courtney Cox mutating into Caitlin "Bruce" Jenner. 🤔
