OMG! My granddaughter will have a lot of fun designing her own clothes! She's 9 years old and I have been putting activities together for her to have an awesome summer vacation. I am definitely going to have fun doing so many of your sewing and fashion hacks! Thanks for sharing your awesome talent with us! I love your channel! By the way, modeling your DIY fashions is a great idea! Love it!!!!
Another great project. All your projects look like a high end designer apparel. I love it, it 's so simple but so chic! Awe how sweet Papa was able to make his debut. You have his same beautiful smile.
This is badass. I love that your channel has really easy and useful DIY's unlike some other popular "DIY" channels I see. Keep it up! Your channel is gonna blow up. Also, you seem to have an interesting family and life. Ever thought of doing vlog style or Q&A videos? I wound definitely watch!
Orly, I'm confused about what happened with the t-shirts; how did you do the second shirt?? Any chance you could make an update to show us? Thanks! Loved the jeans!!
Ok, I understand now! Thanks, everyone! I'm a visual learner, so I just didn't get it. Appreciate the explanations!! Makes sense!! Love Orly's community!!!
Yep Everyone's answers were correct. But I think you want a graphic that you can feel to the touch. Does that make sense. Like don't pick a graphic that is so worn and soft that its basically part of the shirt on. You want a shirt that you can feel the print. That's how both mine were, there was a distinct difference in the feeling of the shirt, to the graphic.
Seriously! Every time I watch one of your videos....my mouth drops!! I don't get to watch Home and Family any more because I have to work, so I love watching your channel!!!
@@OrlysChannel you’re very welcome! ❤️ I’m new to sewing (well, I started learning fall 2019 and got my own machine March 2020) and you have so many gorgeous ideas that I can add to my sewing projects as i go along! I’m not a creative person so I really love and appreciate your creativity and that you share It with all of us! 🥰
Love your channel awesome to see you with your dad. I had a wonderful relationship with my dad so many great memories. Love your ideas thanks so much for sharing!
Love this. Those jeans are to die for. Also totally went back to :55 to watch your patio door just close on it's own. It was pretty interesting to watch.
Thank you! I couldn’t find anything that said the transfer gel was washable. I even emailed the company. I’ll try this on a piece of fabric first to be sure I’m doing it correctly but am very excited for the possibilities.
The best part about your videos is that they're not tried and tested before filming. It's a process. You make mistakes and we learn from them as you go. Love that!!
hahah love it! I will say that I did NOT find the gel at the craft store. They had a pen which doesn't work for this style. I did link the gel in the description though
@@OrlysChannel Thanks for the tip🙏🏿💕. I real life would have tried to use the pen and would have been left with nothing but a ruined project drenched in my tears.
@@OrlysChannel I bought the gel and it says to let it dry before placing the foil (I plan to use the iron on method). Did you let the transfer gel dry before ironing the foil on? Thanks in advance!
New subscriber here! I never thought I would find a video on how to turn my jeans into metallics, but here you are! Thank you for this and your content looks so awesome. Is it weird that I want to put metallic foil in everything now?! 😳 Probably is, so I will try to calm down, but I’m pretty excited! Thanks again, you Rock! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
🤣 Awesome!!!! I love that you did! It shows that you share the projects that you are passionate about and that is so cool! Thanks again for sharing your talent with us. 🌟
I purchased all my supplies to try this, can't wait! Plus I just back from LA where 2 of my dearest friends & I visited Bohemia Beads & Imperial Trim & Beads .... Creating , here I come... no stoping me now!
This video is 3 years old and I bought all the foil supplies when I first watched it 3 years ago and never used them. But I am finally gonna do it today! So I am rewatching the video. I am busting into the 'projects to do" pile finally!
this is a great one!!! even with the goof-up that gives you a new renew to tees an stuff!!! holo is all the thing an this would be insane on totes, even sun hats for the beach! or to update the tops or bottoms of curtains from a thrift shop! you rock!!!! cant wait to try and i saw the brand you used was DECO FOIL so next michaels trip thats what im getting!!! i wanted to make a kimono from old tees and this is the thing im gonna use to tie them all together once i sew them into the yardage ill need. two vids to make a craft project even sweeter!!!
I would actually buy it online. I tried Michaels and Joannes and couldn't find the transfer gel. They have a transfer pen but it doest work for a project like this.
Love you and your creative ideas!!! You inspired me so much, I bought myself a sewing machine so I can sew again. It's been a long time. Your videos will help greatly.😍💖Thank you for sharing! You deserve more subscribers.
Your knowledge of all of these products is insane! Any chance you’ve made a video on how to distress a t-shirt like the one in the end. I really love the look of all those little holes.
ooooo... I love it!! I was just thinking that you should transfer the foil on to your ADIDAS t-shirt... or cut out the shape you want to transfer (using the streakiest left over parts of the foil)..... I’m getting such ideas!!!... annnnnd that’s all I need is another obsession!
So Orly I did the reverse tie-dye ADIDAS t-shirt but the color bled into the logo and while I quickly tried to get it off it didn't work. So I tried the foil on the ADIDAS logo and it didn't work either - didn't take any of the transfer - any ideas?
Hello, I was looking for ideas to make fabric appear to look like metal for a costume. At 4:35 is it weird that I kinda liked it?! ☺ I may have been more inside the letters with a clover iron.
Love this. I had a pair of jeans with bronze transfer along time ago and now i can recreate them, thank you. On the graphic t-shirt did u still need to use the transfer gel or could u just iron the metallic transfer directly on to the existing graphic?
yep no transfer gel needed! But I think you want a graphic that you can feel to the touch. Does that make sense. Like don't pick a graphic that is so worn and soft that its basically printed on. You want a shirt that you can feel the print.
I want to do this project on the collar of my denim jacket around the edges of the sleeves and maybe the pocket and around the bottom O heck who am I fooling I'm going to put it on everything that can TAKE it 😂😃😅😆👍
Yea! It takes longer to transfer. Took me like 35 minutes of doing it, thinking it was enough, going back doing more. But at the end it totally transferred.
Orly! I just watched this again because I’ve been salivating over Zendaya’s Valentino jumper from the Spiderman press tour… would this work on a cable knit sweater, do you think?
Your really awesome and make every d.i.y video so easy to follow and achievable. I have been wanting to do gold foil jeans, without the crunchiness, for a while. Thank you for this video.
OMGoodness....I just ADORE your personality!!!! You make me want to be your camera girl🤣🤣!!!! And this DIY is another winner!!! But you know I'm always over the top- so I'll have to do the transfer all overt the jeans. I know, I know..... but that's just who I am😂😂!! And you're dad is precious..... that was too cute💞. Heading to the store! Have an awesome weekend.

Wow!! You're incredibly creative. I'm in awe EVERYTIME I watch your DIYs.
Thank you for so many inspiring ideas.
Darnelle Echols aw man, thanks!!
Your joy at the jeans working out makes me so happy!
hahah It's sad
How did I miss this one... watched it 2 years after it came out. Love it! Definitely going to do some Jean pants or jacket!! Thanks Orly!
Orly, I'm confused about what happened with the t-shirts; how did you do the second shirt?? Any chance you could make an update to show us? Thanks! Loved the jeans!!
You just put the transfer paper directly on the printed graphic and iron, no need for the gel because the graphic acts like the gel
The ink from the t-shirt acted like the transfer gel. So you dont put on any gel just the foil paper on top and iron on. Hopefully this helpe you.
What they said!😄👍
Ok, I understand now! Thanks, everyone! I'm a visual learner, so I just didn't get it. Appreciate the explanations!! Makes sense!! Love Orly's community!!!

Do you let the transfer glue dry before applying the foil, or should the glue be wet?
I'm reading through comments trying to find the same answer.

qochemist hahaha is it bad that i love that?

They also have transfer pens. Now how badass is that i also used on some old boots lighten bolts
Yes I tried the pens but it didnt work for me on clothes. Only paper
If you put the straps further apart on the first top would you get a cowl neck?
Awesome!!!! Love all your designs❤
So living for this I used to do this in the 90s even to my cloth shoes😜
How did the foil hold up for both the short and jeans after going through a wash, or several washes?
Pressed LIKE when you said MACHINE WASHABLE 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
omg yay!! haha
