Thanks for the great review, it seems HiBy aren’t doing much marketing with this player now the R6/R6 Pro are out, it’s a shame because this player looks great for people like me who don’t like Android players, and don’t want a bulky expensive player, will definitely get one 👍🏼
So basically matches the more expensive R3 in terms of sound. Then, the R2 II is a no brainer. The interface is better than the AP80 Pro as well. This has got more features. The only thing missing is the performance as a USB DAC compared to a dongle, for example. Other review mentioned bluetooth problem, audio stutter when streaming via Tidal. Did you encounter any of the problems. What about battery in real use.
I did not find last played option. Recent feature displays list of recently played files, not last played (now playing) . It is very strange since every player I had had this feature.
Thanks so much for your review! I was watching some videos but I still have a question about this device. When you organise your music, can you do it by folders in your computer and you have that same organisation when you use the Hiby r2? Has it some limitation about the number of folder levels? I wonder... I need to organise playlists inside a folder, indide a folder, inside a folder... There will be, at some point, a folder that the device don't recognise? Thanks so much for your help!!
Yes. You can do all this. And it is MUCH easier to control your player through Bluetooth on your phone, so I really love this player as a replacement for my Cowon M2 which is still alive, but became too old in terms of interaction, features and aoind processing as it does not have DAP
Hello! Thanks. Can you play music files by FOLDERS? I have about 200 folders in my PC containing Flac files. Each folder has about 10 to 20 flac files. If I copy my 200 folders into a micro SD card then insert it into HiBy, can I visualize each one of my 200 folders and navigate through them to play individual files? Thanks a lot.
@@corsinivideos Might be API/licensing costs. Or they may think that people who go to the trouble of buying a separate player wouldn't be using Spotify, because it's lower sound quality than other services
Finally an English full length review!
Was waiting for this, really comprehensive and love the comparison with other players at the end.
Good review! Special thanks for the comparison with shanling 👍

Just bought this because of built in Qobuz application. For the price, it’s exactly what I wanted. FLAC stream player under $100.
What's your experience with Qobuz? Can you listen to your own Qobuz playlists ?

they have tidal
@@DaleonM4 Yeah but Spotify is a much more popular service, loads more music.

It's a DAP, people who buy DAPs don't mind chonky devices. Put a bigger battery in it! 20-30 hours play time should be a bare minimum on a DAP
