    Hey Nick! Thank you for this video. I'm obsessively researching Summerboard as my next purchase. After two years of owning it, have you thought about making another video with your most recent pro/cons/stats?

    • @nickschwartzers7918
      @nickschwartzers7918  7 месяцев назад +1

      If you have the money/time and a location with smooth roads/surfaces that you can safely enjoy it... go for it. If you have another person nearby who has a board that's a great way to trouble shoot problems that will arise. No new videos- sorry.

    @8.34, how do you do that? I'm still learning how to properly carve (still have issue with toe side carving) but seeing you do donuts in small radius make me wonder if you need skills/experience to do that or if you can use that as a practice to control slide/rotation.
    Keep going, love your explanation and illustration.

      PePe
      1st, it only works at lower speeds. It took practice with the throttle control and you cant apply to much pressure to your edge wheels... it's essentially a rotation that I don't ever finish because I'm turning. More weight towards the lead foot so the back keeps trying to catch up.

      I still use it... when there isn't snow on the ground =) . I ride it as often as my personal life allows me. The only other board I use right now is a swelltech surfskate.

    Hey Nick. I just got the sbx and I’m already hearing that squeaking from the center wheels. I’m going to take your suggestion re dialectric grease. From your video it looks like the bolts on top of the board release the center wheels? Where exactly do I apply the grease? Thank you for reading and for your time.

    • @nickschwartzers7918
      @nickschwartzers7918  2 года назад

      use a search engine for "summerboard troubleshooting" Find the "board" section then subsection "motors making scratching sounds...." video straight from the man himself. I will be doing this today myself. After 2 years of using the board I find that tabs fold down and need to be lifted back up to ensure contact is always occurring or I get stuttering particularly when rotating while applying throttle. This is when I clean and apply fresh grease.

    Can you still accelerate while riding switch? I'm a goofy rider and am wondering how that would work, would I just flip the foot hooks around?

    • @nickschwartzers7918
      @nickschwartzers7918  3 года назад

      There isn't truly a front or back you just adjust the foot bindings how you want. You could step on my board in its current configuration and ride it because it's symmetrical.

    Yeah amazing Video! I would like to know more about the speed washers. What kind/size do you use? I am new to all of this. Never needed it with snowboarding. :-)

    • @nickschwartzers7918
      @nickschwartzers7918  2 года назад +1

      Skateboard/Long Board/Summer/ect all have a common 8mm bore diameter for the truck axles. A search for skateboard speed washers will get you what you want.

    • @hubahorvath4453
      @hubahorvath4453 2 года назад

      @@nickschwartzers7918 Ah thank you so much. And did i understand correctly that you used 7-8 per wheel. So i would need at least 32 for the board. is there no trouble with using 8 on top of each other? also do you just put them on the board side or also between the nut and the wheel?

    • @nickschwartzers7918
      @nickschwartzers7918  2 года назад +1

      With new wheels I use one on the outside and 3 on the inside for 8 additional. Once I've rotated the wheels so both sides have worn down once I flip it and just keep the 3 on the outside so that it's easier to store them and makes you turn the nut less. On a side note with the LED wheels summer board periodically releases you sometimes need to put a pair of washers inside the wheel between the bearing and the special magnetic piece to help maintain the connection.

      What challenge(s) were you having? (Balancing, stopping, turning) What type of area were you riding? (parking lot, road, sidewalk) Was the ground smooth? Did you remove the risers under the the trucks? How tight are your trucks?

    • @nickschwartzers7918
      @nickschwartzers7918  2 месяца назад

      @@coyote208Go to a large flat area so you have lots of room. Also, find some to hold on to and without using your throttle just practice leaning and shifting your weight to make the board slide and rotate like in the video when I'm holding on to the basketball hoop pole. Favor your back foot more to keep from rotating unintentionally and remove the risers that are under the trucks. Those are the little plastic/rubber pads. Keep the truck bearings tight.
