Living on the flats in Holland, the SBX is worth every penny for me ✌️ had some V1 troubles before... been riding a V2 for over a year now and it's holding up great!
Amazing, I used to be a liftie and snowboarding was my passion, not been for over a decade now tho :( i came here to see if i should buy a summerboard but i cant really afford one, then thanks to your vid i discovered theres such a thing as a Freebord! and i can just about afford one of those, amazing cant thank you enough. Subscribed for more too, great job!
hey im in the vid ! so cool ! I Also the big point for me is the big and smooth center wheels... i cannot go back to regular rollerblade wheels after. But yeah 2k that's a budget...
It's a tough one, I bought one as the price wasn't an issue as I earn that and more weekly from my business. I was too worried about hurting myself in the learning period so sold it and use my e scooter or boosted e skateboard instead
Totally valid way to go, V2 solved a lot of problems but waiting for the next gen is a decent shout still. 👍 You could pick up a freebord, learn that and then youll know how to Summerboard when you do pick one up 👌
It helped a lot thanks!!! I've been considering buying one because I love riding on my own and having a fun mean of transport, but you made me change my mind 😅 I will stick to my rollerblades I'm afraid 😂 The weight is also a thing I'm afraid I wouldn't enjoy much. One question still: is a summerboard worth riding downhill as well or would you use a Freebord in that case ? Could you just turn off the battery when you have enough speed or does it have to run all the time? Haha Freebording made you learn how to snowboard, but it works the other way round too, snowboarding made me learn how to Freebord very quickly
Yeah I mean its a lot of fun as a mode of transport, so dont let this video put you off! Also for training to ride the freebord its arguably better than a freebord imo 😂
I'm living in flat area so summerboard is a must when traveling in my city when I want my snowboard feeling. But I bough it 500€ with a fault battery 😅 So yeah it's very expensive regarding problems a lot of people have.
As someone who tried a freeboard but struggled and wants to learn, with the hopes of learning to snowboard one day. lives somewhere quite flat, but not the best roads, would you say it’s a good device to learn on, when compared to the freeboard? I currently ride a VESC onewheel, but it’s obviously quite different.
@@Flymingu mm so I did a Summerboard, Freebord, Snowboard comparison recently you might find helpful. I would recommend a second hand freebord, even if you dont have many hills you can learn in a skatepark/light slopes and once you know how to freebord id consider a summerboard. It alsp depends how much $2000 is worth to you, for me it's hard to justify but each to their own. I hope this helps! 👌
Its the random "sticking" that i get from the centre wheels for me. Just makes it really dangerous. Pretty sure you had a similar issues in one of your older videos.
i think its the opposite. i've got long email chains between summerboard and customers i've made friends with on the reddit forum. people waiting for months and months for parts either under warranty or already paid for - in some cases over 6 months - and while aaron came on the forum over and over saying 'every customer's issues get taken care of personally by me' - these folks won't say a word publicly because they want their board to work again one day and not be out of $2K@@easy_riders
Yeah it is pricey, I think their support has improved (if you buy new) so you’ll get a well functioning board for at least 2 years. I think it’s worth the money but the price is completely out of reach for a lot of people!
Just wanted to pop in for a sec and say the financing deal has 0% for 12 months. So in the sense of if your good enough with money to buy it and pay over the 12 months it can be a great way to manage cash flow. That said most arent. And your math is mostly right just after that 12 months. It would work out to be a little over $4.30 a day at 1600 over a year to pay off.
I'd be surprised if they give a 12 month $1600 loan at 0% APR for everyone who applied, loans tend to be means tested to reduce risk for the lender. It's nice to hear your thoughts though!
@easy_riders yeah looking closer they do say up to 12 months 😂 anyways great video been debating a summerboard and this was a great unbiased take and the $1 a day is a ridiculous and misleading ad
Yeah I think that could be right for most people, Summerboards also have a steep learning curve and so I'm sure a lot of people won't even enjoy the SBX.
As someone who's been riding a summerboard for nearly a year now I can confidently say it's been one of the best purchases I've made. I've lost a solid 20 pounds just riding around my city and carving concrete. It's been an absolute pain in the ass to learn, but feels amazing once you get it.
no, garbeg. my review from today. They are selling skateboards without parts and they don't tell you. When you call in or email, they may tell you that they have parts that are missing, they are short staffed and it will be awhile. Then when you cancel they all of a sudden have your board being built and they ship it. When it arrives you open the box to find it missing parts and a letter telling you that it's missing parts. When you try to return it they want to rip you off with a restocking fee because the box was opened. How the heck would I know it's missing parts unless I opened the box?? What the heck kind of scam is this?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!
High quality video dude, loving the background music and the backdrop, keep it up
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! 🏂

Yeah, there's not enough 16:9 videos of you on the SBX through Paris!
The smooth center wheels are so much nicer. 👌
@@easy_riders that's right ! There is on some Facebook group I guess but I do more drones in 16:9 format than summerboard
It's a tough one, I bought one as the price wasn't an issue as I earn that and more weekly from my business. I was too worried about hurting myself in the learning period so sold it and use my e scooter or boosted e skateboard instead
I'll wait for the next edition. Count me out.

Expensive is relative compared to traveling to a mountain with hotel and lift tickets.

Lol you said "freebord" twice 😂 so which one is best for training?
@Bad-Trip-Cruel read it again my dude! 👌
@@easy_riders oh yeah, sorry, my bad 😅 just a misunderstanding of the language, it happens sometimes as English is not my native one...
Thanks then 😊

I mean it's less similar to snowboarding than freebording is but I guess if you dont have any slopes near you it's the best option!
HIT EM WITH THE MATH ❤😂
I'm still convinced I must be mistaken... but the numbers don't lie 😂
Is it fun using
It is! But so are Freebords, and they cost about 10% as much.
Thank you
But also i Dont have Many downhills and i really want some snowboard like thing to ride in the summer. What do you think i should pick?
@@easy_riders but I also want to do tricks and spin around

Yeah, that was the breaking point for me. Makes it seem like a low quality product... hopefully its fixed with v2 motherboards.
@@easy_riders it is not. I had a V2.
@@Ctec87 ouch… thats not great for Summerboard. Do you still have it?
Imagine a car that comes with a hand rail instead of seatbelts by default
Ahah it is a bit like that 😂
its very generous for you to think summerboard honors the warranties
Yeah that’s a good point, I’m sure if you publicly criticise them on social media they respond a lot faster!

The fact that hooks are 400$ proves its not worth it
You have a point..
ill stick to snowboarding

It looks fun, but not worth it at that price. Looks like a huge gimmick that will be in the corner gathering regrets by next summer.

No way it is worth that much. Can you still have fun and tell yourself it is worth it sure. But objectively it isn´t subjectivly these views can vary.
Yeah I mean I kind of agree, I don't currently own one anymore but second hand ones around $600 are tempting 👌
Mortgage boards lmao
😂

Love that montage of the Art of Butters 👌
