Another good video! I never get tired of yours. If I lived near you I would love to come visit and get to know you better. Thank you for what you do. 😃
Love how you come up with such great combinations of products to layer on a card. I think you have such great artistic imagination and I LOVE it! Sandy Parker
I have an anchor punch, smaller than that.... great idea. I have been saving netting from cheese, fruit and things that some in netting at the grocery store I have many colors.... don't use them much, but this is a good one. Also can be used on a hot air balloon. I love this card, thanks for the video. I always do a thumbs up!
Love this--So creative. You have the best ideas! I haven't seen these stamps before but they are now on my "wishlist." Recently bought a mermaid stamp so will use that (even tho I'll have to color it by hand). I bought some of this tulle after Christmas last year dirt cheap. Now I know what I can do with some of the leftovers! Thank you for the inspiration
I really like this card. I bought the seahorse stamp set recently and haven't used it yet. Thanks for the inspiration! I have some ideas for a card with this stamp and some diecut shells made with shimmer sheets!!
I love this card and the "envelope"! I was wondering if you have ever had any trouble with the post office "rejecting" a card. I know that there are guidelines for envelope thickness and size, and some require extra postage, but I am so afraid that the post office will at some point reject a card I've sent due to an embellishment, or to something being popped up with foam tape, etc. I know they have rules on "bumpy" cards that are not even, too. I am thinking of using the "extra piece of cardstock" idea to cover the fronts, but was just wondering if you or any or your viewers had ever had problems. Thank you for all the time and finances you invest in bringing us these videos. It is the first thing I search RUclips for each night!!
The only problem I ever had was a card arriving postage due because it was too heavy/thick. It was a tree that had lots of buttons for leaves. You can request hand cancelling and pay 14 cents extra I think. I have been lucky I gues. Anyone else want to chime in?
I've never had the post office reject anything I've sent and I've sent some unusual things, including a cd I decorated as a "postcard" and a soda bottle filled with goodies. If a card has an embellishment that could poke through the envelope in the mail, I put a piece of bubble wrap or a chunk of an old padded envelope over the embellishment. Sometimes I have to pay extra postage if I add very much padding to my cards, because it makes them thick. But it's worth it to have my cards arrive in good shape. I save the extra postage cards for people that will really appreciate them. :)
The post office generally doesn't like bumpy or stiff cards because they are non-machinable. Just need to pay the extra to for them to be hand sorted, but those charges can add up so I try to only take those to people by hand!
Thank you to each of you who replied! Makes me feel better. I thought about making different cards and mailing them to my daughter just to see if they would "pass"....but I didn't want to waste the postage if it wasn't necessary. It is hard for me to make it to the post office to get them to weigh or otherwise approve a card, but I might just try to mail a few that I've been holding!
Thank you! And now I have to Google Harbor Freight for those brushes...have been looking for the color dusters forever and couldn't find them. Thanks for yet another tip!
Love the layers, adds so much interest & dimension
