Watching the House of the Dragon, Drogon really took himself seriously and was a very assertive, almost wild dragon. And in the old Targaryen days, those dragons were hardest to tame or even survive an encounter with like The Cannibal or Vermithor. The fact that Daenerys commands Drogon so well means she's his equal.
And then they ended the show like THAT.
There's a difference between the dragons! Dany is this dragon's mother. She honestly doesn't have to command Drogon as they are bonded differently than the past dragons!
@t I wouldn't put it that way. Sadly Vhagar wasn't long enough Leana's dragon to find out, how Vhagar would have responded. In this short time I'd say that Leana had a good hand with Vhagar; she led her wisely. You could also say that Vhagar, once Aemond was its rider, responded the way a leadlerless dragon responds. Aemond wasn't ready to handle a dragon like Vhagar; it seems he carried a lot of anger within, which didn't allow him to lead Vhagar. Not a fault though; needs probably angermanagement and therapy to get through emotions. The description you use is pretty much black and white thinking; niceness, gentleness in beasts allowed, thank you; that's much of a Disney corner. It seems that almost everyone wants to be nice and gentle in the middle of a rough; which is ok to want. But banning everything else that is grey or dark or doesn't fit in the clichee is throwing something away which equally belongs to a being. One cannot shine all the time; that is impossible. Maybe you should be thankful for the Caraxes, Vhagars, Sheepstealers, Syraxes and Vermax', since they show something, that one not really wants to look at, but on the other side is existent.
@t G.R.R. Martin stated, that the Show is more accurate than the books. If only in parts I didn't get to know; probably. Anyway, if on the show or from the books; my basis is on a path between the books and the Show.

What’s notable about this is that Drogon lowers her all the way to the floor so she can simply step off his wing, instead of letting her slide off per usual procedure. At first this could be considered a power play by Daenerys just to highlight how complete her control over the Dragons is, especially Drogon. But it’s important to remember, she DOESN’T have blanket control over them. The dragons CHOOSE to obey their mother and be loyal to her (Same as with the Dothraki and the Unsullied just quietly) and Drogon is not just a horse she controls for travel. It’s very much a mutual consent and respect relationship (there’s mentions in the books of Dragons dropping their Targaryen riders for shits and gigs and for no reason other than they wanted to) So in fact, Drogon is willingly showing that if he had his way (probably it is Drogon and he’s a cranky boy) he’d eat them all for breakfast but because he listens to and obeys his mother, they can thank her for the fact that they’re not his next meal. It is a show of power for Dany, but it’s a show of power that only happens because Drogon wants it too as well.

I'll give this to the concept artists, they made far more realistic proportions than most dragons you see. Like when Drogon gets airborne at the end you see how absolutely massive his wings are. Still probably not enough to technically get him into the air, but far better than most dragons in fantasy. They also keep the dragons rather thin too.

Dragons have always been so amazing to imagine and see in film, however it wasn't until GOT that we all got to see the best visualization of dragons that we've ever seen. The special effects people involved with GOT did such an amazing job with the dragons, and even now with House of the Dragon they've taken it a step further. It's sad to say but I honestly watch GOT nowadays in anticipation only for the dragon scenes. I still love the show overall, but the dragon scenes are always the best parts!

When Cersei rudely remarked about Dany being late, Dany politely replied "my apologies", Cersei looked completely speechless. She never expected Dany to be humble, especially when she had the power of dragons. Imagine if Cersei had the control of three dragons.. She would've destroyed half of Westeros in a matter of days. This scene alone shows why Dany should be the queen and not Cersei.

I mean, Dany should've been the queen of the seven kingdoms; she doesn't deserved the ending D&D gave her. She had the most epic build-up and the most interesting charecter development, and yet they just ruined EVERYTHING in just a single episode. That's insane. Long may you reign, Khaleesi.

the woman who started out as a slave -abused and sold by her brother, fought her way through it.. lost a husband and a child, yet somehow birthed three dragons by risking her life (she didn't know whether she'd survive the fire), led her people through the red waste while starving, punished those who needed to be punished for what they did, freed slaves, earned the love of the common people, the loyalty of her armies, united all Dothraki to one big Khalasar, brought them across the narrow sea, gave the Northerners dragon glass to fight the army of the dead, offered them all her forces, repeatedly sacrificed her life, her children's lives and lost everything along the way to fight for the good cause, no one acknowledged that and constantly questioned her and took her credit away. This woman will be remembered as a bloodthirsty tyrant in Westeros. This woman who gave her all and got nothing in return but losses, grief, anger and betrayal, the one who started out alone and died alone, while everyone else got their happy ending. A literal happy ending. Let that sink in. It's beyond me how people have the audacity to say "what did you expect, a Disney ending?" So it only would have been a Disney ending if Daenerys had survived? Apparently Game of Thrones has always been a tale about the Starks and its only okay for them to have their happy ending. Got it.

I couldn't agree more they are calling this woman the mad queen when all she really wanted was to end slavery in westeros and sit on the throne that was in my opinion rightfully hers because Jon snow did not want it. She risked not only her life but the life of her children to protect westeros, protecting them from the Night king giving the life of one of her dragons and she gave Cersie many chances to surrender peacefully but she kills Raeghal and Missande for no reason and they have the audacity to say that she deserved to die. She lost so much her husband, her child, two of her children and a whole lot more in my opinion Cersie is the only mad queen in this story
Game of Thrones was never going to have a fairy tale ending. It's based on history more than the typical fantasy storyline. I agree the ending was rushed, but I do feel that was GRRM's ending of sorts . History has often forgotten good people, and given credit to the bad. That's the way life is sometimes unfortunately

What I love about this scene is Daeneys' entry (especially since I LOVE Dragons), but the best was Cersei's response. She was intimidated but would not give Daeneys the satisfaction of seeing her sweat. So instead, she grits her teeth, and gives her a look and says "We've been here for quite some time."

Sometimes in my mind I try to pretend the ending didn’t happen the way it did. Loved the show all the way up to they bloody butchered the True Queen 👑 to the throne .
She came to Westeros with 40000 Dothraki, 8000ish Unsullied, the Iron Fleet, 3 dragons (Which is the equivalence of 50 armies, give or taken). In Westeros, She got the whole Dorne on her side, the Tyrell - the largest supplier of agriculture in the land. And things still gone sour. I don't know how the writers manage to fuck it up.

In all honesty it would have been better had Drogon stayed grounded. The sight of the dragon would have everyone shitting themselves in intimidation, Drogon being there would have made the situation a lot more serious.
