    Talent is clearly there but just has to overcome some of his mental barriers. Should look at Billups and Lowry as motivation. Both took awhile before reaching their potential and becoming well-rounded PGs. Still 22, Fultz should come right. Organization stability is a huge factor too. Hope Orlando stay the course with Fultz and help keep his development on track.

      Pre Law I think he’s saying the mental barrier came from after the injury. It’s like when people who recover from an ACL tear, once they first recover they’ve gotta learn to trust their bones and muscles again cause they’re scared they might re-injure themselves

      It seems that he is still trying to figure out how to play the best way he can with a TOS injury still somewhat present. That's a difficult process to undergo with a spotlight on you. While he tries to make the best of his situation, it'll come with highs and lows in confidence and in belief in himself and belief that his injury will get better as his abilities may waver over time while being treated. I should know, I have TOS myself.

  • @Flameville
    @Flameville 4 года назад

    He had a pinched nerve and was clearly recovering from injury and compensating for it with the change to his shot. He's still great around the basket and knows how to penetrate. Still managed to get a triple double early on and knows how to be effective. Before the season was halted he showed growing signs of confidence and his new shot looked better. He isn't a bust because his talent failed to translate over to the league, he's on the verge of becoming one because injuries/rushed recovery are limiting the things he's able to do. The potential is still there but its diminishing. It's almost another Greg Oden story. Vast amounts of potential locked behind nagging injuries.

    he could turn it around but as of right now he is definitely a bust. 12 ppg in your 3rd year as the number 1 pick? can't shoot like he was projected to coming out of college. that's a huge bust.
    and i'm tired of people saying philly wasn't a good situation for him. he was the perfect fit for them. he didn't even have to be great, he just had to be solid and eventually develop into the third star - not a tall task for someone drafted number 1 overall. tatum thrived on a contending team, why couldn't fultz with teammates who were barely any older than him?

    To be honest, ever since he left Philly, he has been trending upwards. Granted, it's very gradual and slow, but it's still upwards similarly to Lonzo. He could be a solid guard in the NBA, he's tall for the 1 spot, has a ridiculously long wingspan, freakish athleticism and is ridiculously strong for a guard. There was this play that even though it was an offensive foul that the refs let him get away with, he was driving to the basket and he pushed LeBron out of the way like nothing. I don't know about star and he will always have scrutiny for being selected above Tatum and Mitchell, but the dude can be solid guard in the NBA.

    Hes not a bust yet but he still hasn't regained his shooting form yet you see the idea when the Sixers drafted Fultz was to put another playmaker next to Simmons that could run pnr with him could play off ball as well to create a Kyrie LeBron type of offensive dynamic his shooting went to sht Sixers had trouble playing him because he couldn't shoot fts or shoot the basketball well and you already have Simmons a non shooter Embiid not great at 3s so understandably Sixers had to give up on him not believing in his potential anymore he seemed like a broken player the potential to be a all-star is still there hes a really talented player
