With Jasin Todd (Fall To June/Shinedown) at side stage; BSC pulled off an impromptu cover as a tribute to Skynyrd and the Van Zant family in Baton Rouge.
Chris hoped Jasin would join them on stage but was humble enough to allow the boys the spotlight

It's a shame Todd didn't come on stage. He was side stage. He's Ronnie Van Zant's son in law. He was so humble. He didn't want to take BLACK STONE CHERRY's shine away. I love the respect real artists give to each other. My favorite Skynard song is Simple Man. Best ever cover is done by SHINEDOWN. Todd's the one playing guitar. You should check it out. I think you'll like it.
